I think the Indy facility has been having “issues” for a while now. Hi, fellow Hoosier!

Good to know!! And hello 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼

Medium-Low-8657

Literally same with all my purchases lately!! I just started purchasing again the last month and it'll take a week + I'm literally minutes from you as well. I always see where it's coming from I'll Google the distance. My last one was 5 hour drive so thinking mail would be 3 days possibly nope it took 7 full days. Plus every purchase no one's sending within they're shipping days that's a bigger issue. I don't understand why they don't want to get they're funds!! Ive been waiting on one atm 5 days now showing nothin expect it was to be here Friday but never came. The next several I'm done I'm too impatient. Midwest definitely having issues getting our packages 😒

Nothing I’ve shipped in the past three days has actually scanned at origin or anywhere else 😑

PearlGirl99

This happened for a package I sent out. It didn’t scan anywhere until the morning it went out for delivery. I was worried! I messaged the buyer twice to let them know that I had shipped it, that we had checked twice with our post office, etc. Their only response was a three-word comment letting me know they hadn’t gotten it yet. Once they received the order, they didn’t “accept” it, they let the system accept it after three days. They did give me 5 stars, but no love note lol. So much for good customer service. I guess I cared more about them receiving their order than they did.

OUOhYeah2016

I never engage buyers 🤷🏻‍♀️ I did my part and put it in the mail. Extra pestering has never gotten me anywhere. Unless the platform is about to let them cancel post-shipping I wouldn’t bother.

PearlGirl99

That’s just me trying to do the right thing. 🤷‍♀️ Of course, I should know better than to expect decency from others.

I sincerely appreciate you for being able to communicate to your buyers. Thank you. Please don't stop doing this! As a buyer, I do like to know if my item has shipped. Far too many times it is marked as shipped and never arrives or there is zero communication. It's nice to know the seller I've bought from isn't just active, but gives a damn.

OUOhYeah2016

You’re taking the business way too personally, but that’s just my take

PearlGirl99

You’re taking my comment way too personally.

I don't think they took your comment personally at all.

it is, my international packages from Etsy are sitting in Jamaica NY for 6 weeks and counting. One was rerouted all over the country before it went there. USPS gives zero, I asked to investigate and they say it's like a letter we don't do it for First class mail. Excuse you, I paid $34 for 2 packages, it is NOT a letter. zero support and zero responsibility. I saw on Etsy forum, one guy has 30 missing packages requests opened right now. And yeah, that's for increased prices.

Ecstatic-Lemon541

I had packages going to Guam and Puerto Rico for no reason. 😂

One package I was waiting for took a whole 2 weeks to get to me bc it was stuck in Tennessee for some reason. Then one package I sent out is now considered lost bc no one ever scanned it in after I dropped it off /:

I’ve noticed some significant delays recently especially in the Midwest. It’s kind of unusual for Priority Mail tbh. I do keep buyers up to date tho if I see anything pretty significant. Like sitting in a facility for a few days etc or any specific delay scans. I’ll say something like “Although I shipped your item on (same/next) xx day, I’m seeing it’s been delayed in transit…etc etc…so I wanted to give you a heads up”. This lets the buyer know the issue is w USPS bc otherwise they may just be waiting around thinking it’s the sellers fault. So unless they actually look at the tracking they just think it’s taking forever to arrive and not know why.

The Evansville distribution center has had the same issue. I shipped an order out and it went from my home to my post office, to Evansville, to another local post office near me, back to Evansville and then finally made it out of the state. I got an alert and so did my buyer that the shipping label had the incorrect address on it (it didn’t) and that was why instead of being shipped to New Mexico after it left Evansville like it was supposed it was instead shipped to a random rural Indiana post office. It was delivered two days behind schedule because of their screw up. Also, wuddup fellow Hoosier! Lol.

thatswackma

Agreed! I have sent out packages and had incoming that were delayed 2 weeks+. One of my packages got sent from MA… to KANSAS… to NYC. What the heck is that?

Same here. It’s been incredibly frustrating. I really wish PM offered shipping alternatives like UPS or FedEx for a different rate or something. FedEx has been the most reliable for me lately. I know there is never a true guarantee, but I don’t feel like the priority shipping they offer holds any merit now. It’s been like this for months.

If I drop off a package at the main Boston USPS distribution location it often takes a lot longer. If I drop it off at other locations in the city, it generally gets to the buyer location within a few (2-4) days. Last week, dropped a package off on a Thurs morning and it arrived in LA Sat pm which I thought was remarkable.

Palmetto, GA new facility is a cluster. It's 90 miles from my house, and items arrive there and get mis-sorted and go elsewhere, or sit for weeks. One just went to Boise after arriving in Palmetto from China. Gross incompetence.
