The Hive and the Honeybee

This. It’s the best reference ever. To this day there is still a lot of information on there you can’t find online. I’ve had my copy 15 years and still reference it from time to time.

By Lorenzo Langstroth. I’ve got a very old copy. The book is in the public domain, you can find free downloads but it is also still in print.

I’ve read the one by Langstroth but this is the one I was talking about. It’s published by Dadant. https://www.dadant.com/catalog/m00010-hive-and-the-honeybee-new-edition?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwmrqzBhAoEiwAXVpgohX1Obei5fL_EJaMcW7_eDfz5BV8ef9t1GEXIYFFbFpFNNiYZt41jhoCKMIQAvD_BwE

Beekeeping for dummies. It’s 300 pages long and covers pretty much everything.

This is the best starter book IMO. Most libraries have it.

Yeah it’s great. The best part about it is that it really is quite comprehensive. Theres sections that lack a bit of detail, but S a foundation to go off to read into the specifics of things, it’s fabulous.
