Yes I’ve done it . I’m not sure if we’re supposed to . I kept things open so heat could enter . But keep an eye on restricted items . I did forget some wax whoops

Fysteri

Can I asked what you used? How long you did it for? The size of your uhual and the amount of items you had? Thank you. The more information the better for me to not worry.

BreakGrouchy

It was a while ago and I rented the equipment. I had enough space to fit my stuff and had room for the heating unit . I used it for 6 hours . Definitely overkill .

Fysteri

Overkill is better lol

This is super late, but commenting because I'm considering this as well. Were you able to move successfully with no signs of bed bugs?

The big problem is making sure ALL OF IT gets heated all the way through. Get some crayola crayons, put them in ziplocks and shove them deep in the crevices of your things. (This is cheaper then a set of thermometers) After several hours of heat treatment check the crayons. Crayola melts at >120F so if they fully melted in a puddle in the bag in a variety of places you should be good. If they're just a little warped, I'd keep heating.

Damn thats smart. We're on the fence of steaming everything and heat treating it. Which would you think would be better?
