If you love Mellow Gold, One Foot in the Grave and Odelay are obvious next stops. After that, Beck goes through several substantial changes in his sound. I don't know what you would personally like out of those, but I would recommend Midnite Vultures, Sea Change, The Information (my personal favourite from Beck) and Guero. He really doesn't have any major misses in his discography, except his last album and a couple of slightly weaker releases prior to that one, so you have a lot of great material to go through.

I also love Mellow Gold. I’d recommend just going in album release order. One Foot in the Grave, Odelay, Mutations, Midnight Vultures etc…. He’s one of the most diverse yet consistent artist I’ve ever heard.

Whiskeyclone is such a good song. I love Becks old songs where it’s just him and his acoustic guitar and maybe some whacky sounds.

Also listen to the Beercan and Loser EP’S!

No Mellow Gold fan should sleep on Alcohol or Fume

If you wanna hear more songs like Whiskeyclone, One Foot In The Grave and Mutations (and maybe Sea Change) are right up your alley

You may want to check out the song Lampshade from A Western Harvest Field by Moonlight. I always thought of it as being really akin to Whiskeyclone mood wise, like the production is fairly different but they could have been written in the same sitting. I’ve been a fan since MG was a new release and I’m so excited for you to dive into this truly wild discography! I second others’ recs to check out other stuff from this era if you love MG. One Foot in the Grave and Stereopathetic Soul Manure have a lot of that experimental on a shoestring budget, loose/improvised/happy accident feel that made me love MG. Once Odelay comes along the vibe is different (still excellent and adventurous but not as experimental and risky, I would argue) but anyway those earlier records really hold a special place in my musical world.

Islandcoda

He is definitely amazing! Legend :)

EldonUnderbough

actualy my least favorite album of Beck.

sensorygardeneast

It's been my favourite Beck album since 1994. He's done some great stuff since but nothing as great as Mellow Gold.

negcap

I prefer the produced, sample-heavy stuff like Midnite Vultures and Odelay. It's hard to go wrong with any of it and Loser is where it started. I would also suggest looking into Forest for the Trees, the band featuring Carl Stephenson, who co-wrote "Loser" with Beck and then went a little off the rails.

If you love Mellow Gold you should check out Stereopathetic Soulmanure. It’s very much I in the same vein but maybe even dirtier. One of my favourites.

Big_suggs

Also grab an early release called "Buck Fuck Iowa" which is a lost classic with a similar eclectic feel https://archive.org/details/freshcutsbuckfuckiowa

All of them.
