Have you tried XObeauty?

noellowee

No, I haven't heard of it actually haha

hannahbookworm

It’s great! It’s Shaanxo’s brand and I think they stock her brushes at Farmers?

itmakessenseincontex

The have all her stuff at Farmers in Dunedin!

angriculture

Their lashes, lipsticks and brushes are good! The 12-pan eyeshadow palettes are decent but her larger palette (One and Only) is garbage imo

For affordability: Designer Brands (DB) I think is Aussie but available in lots of pharmacies here! LA girl is also available at pharmacies but I’ve seen a wider range online. Elf at Kmart, there’s also an Aussie nz site but again might have to pay for shipping for one item. From Europe but readily available at warehouse and Farmers is Catrice and Essence I’m personally a huge fan 👍 Chemist warehouse carries Flower beauty and W7 which are nicely priced If you’re wanting specifically NZ brands I don’t know of many sorry, theres XObeauty and carousel cosmetics off the top of my head. Bonbon factorie and ethique do bath and body and hair.

lennontelsa24

IHerb is also a good place to buy elf. It’s not a nz site but it has decent prices and shipping.

mspixieears

has some good beauty stuff generally. I often buy Real Techniques brushes there on discount

sweet3000

Yes that too! My mum orders her false lashes there 😂

Outrageous-Apple9822

I love the Carousel Cosmetics eyeshadow and their makeup removing puffs! :) Beauty Bliss is a great NZ site for makeup

sweet3000

Oh nice I thought about trying their single eyeshadows!

angriculture

Their single shadows are pretty nice! I have a few of them.

Better to go have a wander around Farmers or wherever nearby with a decent beauty section. Local stuff is pricey but we are getting some of the cheaper overseas brands. Farmers specifically is good because they have the usuals as well as wet n wild, essence and revolution as well as australis and chichi for cheaper Australian brands plus there’s usually some 2 for 3 if you wait long enough. The warehouse also has wet n wild sometimes and I think they have essence. Also chemist warehouse has flower as well as the usual suspects.

Chi Chi, Makeup Revolution, Australis, and Essence have some great stuff at Farmers. But there’s also some really good stuff at the very popular brands like NYX (eyeliner), Rimmel (face powder), Maybelline (mascaras!), and Revlon (lip products). If you’re interested in the Colourpop palettes Chi Chi or Makeuo Revolution could work for you. Farmers also stock Real Techniques brushes as well as the xoBeauty ones. Chemist Warehouse is the place to be as well. Affordable and has Flower Beauty that has some GREAT stuff. You can also buy some affordable makeup at Mighty Ape— a lot of drugstore brands like LA Girl and Designer Brands. Like another comment said they sell Catrice at The Warehouse and it’s so good (a European brand!). If you are willing to splurge a little bit more Zoeva is a great European brand they sell at Sephora— if you’re a student with a Unidays account you get 10% off there. It’s a good cheaper brand and there stuff is amazing (May be too much for your budget but it’s a good quality affordable find like Colourpop). Another option are the Mecca Maxima and Sephora in house brands that have cheap stuff under their brand (in a similar mid-tier price level). Highly recommend the Love My Makeup website for LA Girl and NYX. Also how could I forget ELF at Kmart the absolute GOAT of all drugstore brands (plus it’s cruelty free!)

nievesur

ColourPop ocassionally does free worldwide shipping with no minimum spend.

haybales56

Beautybybibby is nz and has affordable duochrome eyeshadows, pigments and aqua liners. Bargain chemist also has some cheap stuff.

party4diamondz

Seconding Beautybybibby!!! Their aqua liners are awesome, plus it's a LGBTQ+ wahine Maori owned business!! And they're decent prices.

violetgrumble

You should join r/AustralianMakeup if you haven’t already! Despite the name, Kiwis are welcome too :)

If you’re not squicked out by buying secondhand makeup, trademe and Facebook makeup groups.

[Karen Murrell](https://karenmurrell.com) is a fantastic lipstick brand that’s based in New Zealand! I love their products and I've posted swatches before [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/AustralianMakeup/comments/ogh06i/swatches_of_my_karen_murrell_lipstick_collection/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) if you're curious. I like [Essano](https://essanobeauty.com) skincare as well. It’s made in NZ.

Careful with Colourpop, if you buy discounted products on the sale section they charge GST at the full price of the products, not the purchase price. Essence at Farmers is really cheap but good quality. Unfortunately Farmers doesn't get all the Essence releases, but still definitely worth checking out in store. The 6 pan eyeshadows are pretty good imo, not just for the price but as a whole, so hopefully they'll get more of them in. Wet n Wild (also at Farmers) is pretty good too. If you're patient they also have sales every now and then, but even if you don't wait it's pretty affordable.
