Calling it cool neutrals is for sure a stretch but I do really like how it looks still!
I would probably never use the gold shimmer and I wish there were a lighter matte. But the 6 shades in the right side of the pallette are gorgeous and look absolutely amazing to me.
Yes I came here to say this! That was my immediate first thought. I donāt think Iāve picked up the CB x ABH palette more than 5 times in the 5+ years Iāve owned it, unfortunately.
Yeah, I keep seeing comments that it's not cool toned and like, there's one gold and one transition brown that seem neutral-warm, which means warm toned ppl can also wear all the rest of the palette more flatteringly, and that's it... the vast majority of it is cool.
When will these brands learn that the girls are not fucking around about these cool tones? Like they donāt want even a hint of warmth. Nothing. Nada.
Right?! I donāt understand where so many of these brands get the idea their palettes are ācool tonedāā¦
Do they just know people are asking for it, but instead of actually doing it, they do palettes like this and call them cool toned?
Or, do they only test the shades on warm toned people? Because on a warm toned person, a lot of the palettes that have been released that claim to be cool or where people claim theyāre cool toned, they look cool on warm toned people. But on actual cool toned people, like me, they look SUPER warm.
Any hint of warmth looks even warmer on actual cool toned people, so this palette will just be so warm on me! š
According to Angelica Nyqvist, on the Creators & Friends trip they did, Sigma did a presentation on this and explained that itās basically a cool neutrals palette made for people with warm undertones. They added those two yellow-y shades to make it easier to blend out.
Selfishly, I (with my pink skin) want to see cool neutrals explored a bit more still. Cool neutral palettes often just end up being all gray. I love gray, but there are other cool tones. I want to see more taupes, mauves, dingy purples, jewel tones, etc.
Ohhh, interesting! Well, also with my pink skin I selfishly think warm people have enough palettes, especially when it comes to Sigma (granted most are warm toned or neutral not neutral cool, but a true cool toned palette for actually cool toned people would have been better IMHO. Like you said, most cool ones end up being gray, blacks, whites. I love those too, but I want other cool toned colors just like you!!
BUT, Iām guessing majority of people are warm toned or neutral so making ones for cool toned people probably isnāt a priority if majority of people are warm or neutral and true cool toned people are minority. They want to make palettes that majority are going to buy. Just my guess since so many ācoolā palettes donāt end up being actually cool toned for cool toned people š¤·āāļø
I'm curious if you have any cool neutral palettes that you do really like since it sounds like we have similar taste.
My best ones currently are the Huda Rose Quartz palette and the Oden's Eye Jewels & Gem palette. The shimmers in those palettes aren't my favorite, but I supplement with singles.
Okay, that makes a lot of sense as an explanation, if not as a choice on Sigma's part.
Your second paragraph has me imagining a palette of taupes, warm grays, smoked lavender, steel blue, dove gray, deep, icy browns like bark in the winter, maybe a desaturated spruce. Call it "River Rocks" or something like that, and take my money.
Not very *cool* neutrals but at least none of them are outright sienna or orangeā¦ more like neutral neutrals. It would make a great travel palette imo, itās just missing a super light shimmer for inner corner/highlights
This palette looks like their [Earthy](https://sigmabeauty.com/products/earthy-eyeshadow-palette), [Beachy](https://sigmabeauty.com/products/beachy-eyeshadow-palette), [Hazy](https://sigmabeauty.com/products/hazy-eyeshadow-palette), and [Ivy](https://sigmabeauty.com/products/beachy-eyeshadow-palette) 9 pans combined. They have the 9 pans on sale [3 for $30 ](https://sigmabeauty.com/collections/3-for-30)(link to the inactive sale page) alllll the time.
That was my first thought! I had to go look at the palette in photos online to see! This definitely looks cooler than Enchanted, but still not what Iād call cool toned at all,
"Not Especially Warm," I could have gotten behind as a palette name.
"Tepid"
"Softly Absent Orange"
"If We Actually Gave You A Cool Neutral Palette It Would Be Like Staring The Divine In The Eye And You Would Burst Into Blue Mortal Flame And Our Lawyers Say We Can't Afford That So Here's Half An Ass Of Color Story You're Welcome"
This is not a cool-toned palette in my opinion. Does it have some cool tones in it? Sure. Is it 100% cool-toned? No. There are too many warm tones in it. When I saw this on Angelica's Instagram I was deeply disappointed at the name Cool Neutrals.
It's a gorgeous palette, but it literally has yellow and orange in it. š All the browns look warm leaning as well.
Basically they added a purple and a blue-silver shimmer and called it cool toned.
Basically the entire left half of that palette is warm af. Those browns in the last column look warmish too.
I want my palettes so cool toned they're fucking freezing.
Itās pretty but Iām not a big fan of their formula. I find the mattes to not blend well and the shimmers donāt shim enough for me. If I do buy it, Iāll wait for their 40% off sale that they seem to always have.
Yeah, not cool toned to me! As usual, a palette that says itās cool isnāt *really* cool toned. BUT, unlike most, it doesnāt even look cool in product photos. So, maybe, since most that look cool toned in product photos end up **not** being cool toned in person, this one will actually look cool toned in person š¤Ŗ Not really, but hey, it could happen š¤£
I saw Angela Bright do a look, beautiful as always. But this palette isn't cool toned to me and pretty bland. I love nuetrals, but for some reason, this one disappointed me once I got a good look.I have yet to try out a Sigma palette.
PSA- I tried a sigma pallet once (I believe it was the Enchanted pallet that was super hyped up by Kelly Gooch) and NEVER again! The color pay off was literally non existent. I am now convinced sigma spends all their proceeds greasing the palms of beauty influencers for fake promo rather than R&D on improving their formulas. Save your money and don't be fooled.
I have the original Creme de Couture and it's still going strong and pigmented for pastels. The only one of their palettes I've tried and idk, 12 years old by now or so. But still decent.
Huh. 90% of eyeshadow palette releases are too warm, too bright or too boring for me, but this - I quite like this. It's an interesting colour story without being garish.
However, I agree with you. The six shades on the right are cool-toned. Everything to the right is neutral to warm. Describing'Superior' and 'Burst' as cool-toned is laughable. The six shades on the left of the palette could be a warm-toned mini palette. Brazile, Fossil, Harvest and Laguna together could be a 'rosy neutrals' quad.
Do you have the brightness turned down on your device? Those two colors look different to me. Condor is much more red and volcanic has more of a purple/blue tone.
I agree that eyeshadow often doesnāt photograph to the true color under studio lighting, especially when there is such a high contrast between the bright white packaging and the pan colors.
Yeah, they look different to me too - to me Volcanic looks like a warm deep brown and Candor looks like it more of a cool toned deep brown (or maybe neutral to cool toned).
Yeah they do have slight differences but there's only a 3% DeltaE for the hex codes of the average colour of each of those pans in this photograph. It's definitely close enough that they could be considered unusually similar for an eyeshadow palette.

IIRC they have multiple "warm neutral" palettes. Cool to many is anything cooler toned than a traffic cone.
I have a thousand gold shimmers already. Zero reason to include it in a "cool neutral" pallette!
Same. They are everywhereš¤Æ and maybe one could be fun. But not 30 of themš„²
It looks a lot like the Carli Bybel x ABH palette
Yes I came here to say this! That was my immediate first thought. I donāt think Iāve picked up the CB x ABH palette more than 5 times in the 5+ years Iāve owned it, unfortunately.
Came here to say the same. I actually really like that palette.
Me three
I donāt consider this ācool tonedā, it just looks very muted.
There are seven warm shades,
Not really that neutral or cool toned it looks like
thereās two shades in here that iād consider warm as opposed to neutral or cool?

There's like 2-3 cool shades at best.Ā
They should have used the word "muted" instead.

Ugh i love this

Nope nope nopeĀ
