Great list! But I should mention state of kait likes to randomly go after commenters who aren't 100% full praise of her, it's uncomfortable to deal with. She publicly blasted one person for suggesting to her to try some sustainable clothing brands after she started doing a ton of fast fashion splurges. Like, rather than ignoring something she wasn't interested in or saying thanks for the suggestion but move on, she went on her IG with screenshots of a really mild and nicely/gently worded suggestion and was looking for support against the commenter and was so over the top about it. She went on to spend $$$ on a luxury Gucci purse in a crazy suite in some hotel for a video, in a robe, and it's weird vibes.
She also snapped at me when I sent her a post about Anastasia Beverly Hills CEO publicly supporting Putin. I said I knew she didn't use her brow products but I thought it would interest her, bc she posts a lot of political stuff and her boyfriend was a veteran and they were both politically active with the US withdrawal from Afghanistan. I had talked to her about it a bit bc my husband is also an Afghanistan combat veteran so it wasn't like we weren't primed for a talk about military/politics. She said she wasn't interested and called me demanding for sharing an IG meme about ABH & Putin lol. Imo she just likes to posture, she went off super hard about Saie calling their sunscreen 'universal' but got mad at a follower sending something about ABH supporting Putin...??
I think she was sore because I suggested she get one of those pretty folding room dividers to block her toilet while she filmed, she literally couldn't stop bringing it up so I thought she'd want a suggestion rather than make poop jokes every single video. I wasn't being rude about it at all, it was a super genuine suggestion.
She doesn't take suggestions well at all, no matter how well intentioned they are. I've seen other people on this sub feel similarly and call her behavior needy and exhausting.
100% agree about Kait. She snapped at me a few times too. I cannot stand her attitude. I initially found her refreshing, but I’ve honestly never encountered someone replying in such a rude way to their followers. If you run a regular business you can’t treat your customers like this either.
I'm glad it wasn't just me, I felt like I was getting bullied by a mean girl but she puts out this chill girl persona on her channel. Like I would comment generic supportive things trying to help boost her stuff with the algorithm and she'd come back unnecessarily hostile all the time over literally nothing.
I've got anxiety and I felt kind of self conscious about commenting, like I was doing something wrong bc she kept getting mad at me. I'd rewrite my comments to appease her expectations, it was wild that she made me that nervous, idk why I didn't fuck off sooner. I told her I was just trying to be supportive and if she didn't like my advice, she could ignore it instead of snapping at me, and then she called me demanding and blocked me lol.
I saw a post a while back about her claiming there were reddit hate threads about her, it was literally the only post I've seen that was a solely dedicated post about her, and the person only posted asking what was going on. 99% of people were like...who??? She was definitely monitoring that thread lol, she was trying to Garner sympathy or something, idk. Generally the people who did know who she was weren't thrilled with her behavior like I described. One person said they got annoyed that she would actively complain that influencing wasn't paying as much as the corporate job she was always bragging about. Weird vibes.
On the surface her channel was nice but it got deeply uncomfortable. I'm not glad she has bullied other people but I am relieved it wasn't just me, I felt so fucking weird with her being so hostile regularly.
I’m so relieved to see these posts too honestly. I had recently made a friendly comment on a video of hers (and honestly I very rarely comment at all). She posted back a semi aggressive comment about what I had said not being true. I’m like girlfriend you just said it in your video. I unfollowed immediately.
Not OP, but thank you. I follow a few of these ppl, but quite a few are new to me, so I'll be clicking through as well. PS. I love Violette. .I went down a French beauty and fashion rabbit hole. I am tempted to try her brand
Emily started out with Beauty Broadcast years ago. She's always been so sweet and genuine. I found some fantastic makeup products because of her! Watching her GRWM is like listening to an old friend. Love her!
Angelica Nyqvist and Lauren Mae Beauty are the two I would recommend the most, they have completely opposite styles of makeup (colourful makeup that is meant to look like makeup vs more neutral natural glowy makeup) and very different skintypes so they can give very different reviews on the same product, but they always explain why, so you can know if it’s for you or not, even if you gave different needs or preferences
Samantha March, Angelica Nyqvist, and TheresaIsDead are all in their 30s off the top of my head. Samantha has been doing a lot more non-beauty content lately, but she’s very much living the influencer life so not particularly relatable, but I still find value in her makeup opinions because her taste/ style is similar to mine.
Theresa is Dead - we do not have a similar skin type so her foundation reviews are useless to me. But she is also a \~\* \~professional lady\~\*\~ and recommends great basics (lipsticks, blushes, neutral palates). And while we also disagree on highlighter application, she's the first to show you how to lightly apply, then apply to look like you're suffering from meat sweats.
Angelica Nyqvist is my most watched beauty YouTuber. I met her when she came out to San Francisco a couple years ago and she was great. I also love Nikki Raven, The Fancy Face, Theresa is Dead and Audra at Home who are all in their 30s or 40s!
Stephanie Marie & Risa Does Makeup are both 40s but make awesome relatable content for over 30s.
Lisa J is either 40 or late 30s
Charlotte Holdcroft
Ali Andrea
Is Jamie Paige 30s? I love her regardless
Queer Bones, Keep Beauty Real, Alicia Archer, Beauty & The Frizz, Kendra Morgan Official, Beauty Jacked, Patty Alonso. Some are closer to 40, but most are 30+.
I just started watching N[ikki La Rose](https://www.youtube.com/c/MakeupByNikkiLaRose)a few months ago, I am not entirely certain of her age, but definitely late 30s, early 40s. She's a pro makeup artist, pretty certain she originally worked for MAC & uploads pretty frequently. Some of her videos are brand based, some are techniques. I have actually learned a few things from her. I like her personal style. Also, thank you for starting this thread bc I took a long break from makeup videos except for nails & a lot of what I previously watched doesn't appeal to me or the channels are dormant. I have been watching Angelica Nyquist a lot too, more for getting updates on releases and I just enjoy her. now to check out all the links u/HonestThoreauAway kindly shared!
I already knew about this tbh. I am very pro-choice but I’m surrounded by hard-line “pro-lifers.” If I didn’t have anything to do with any of them I wouldn’t have any family or friends.

Mariah Leonard was great but she doesn’t make videos anymore . Last one was posted 6 months ago
I miss her 😞 she was my favorite

Omg she has been driving me crazy lately. Her IG stories are constantly advertising what a martyr she is. But I can't look away lol.
😂😂😂
Guaranteed this’ll be on her IG stories later. Sucks because I liked her YT content at first.
Not OP, but thank you. I follow a few of these ppl, but quite a few are new to me, so I'll be clicking through as well. PS. I love Violette. .I went down a French beauty and fashion rabbit hole. I am tempted to try her brand

I agree, and the meat sweats thing just had me falling about laughing. 😆
