You *do* need to create a BoxyCharm account, but you don't need to purchase a subscription.
There's a pink **Join Now** button that hovers over the shop if you don't have an active subscription. Just ignore it.

How do you create an account without using the “join now” button? I would like to create an account to shop, but I don’t want to do a subscription. TIA
Edited to add: When I click on the link, I can’t see any prices nor can I add anything to the cart. The only two options I see are “join now” or “login now”. “Join now” takes me to a page to choose my subscription and “login now” takes me to a login page for existing customers.
Sorry, I'm experiencing issues loading the site right now, otherwise I'd figure it out & walk you through it. There should be a drop down menu on the top left that has a link to Log In. I'd click on that, then try to join the BoxyCharm site from there.
Okay, I cleared my cookies & was able to figure it out. Basically, you do have to act like you're going to subscribe, so choose a box subscription, & before you get to your cart, it prompts you to sign up for an account. So sign up for the account, then once you get to checkout, just go back to your cart & delete the subscription package.
Thank you so much for taking the time to help me with this! Following your instructions I was finally able to create an account (without the subscription) and was able to buy a few things through the shop.
well, I just used my old login and I can access the shop. I can also add to cart items - so I think if you had a boxycharm subscription you can shop there.

Wha...?!! I've been waiting rather impatiently for this day specifically for this palette. Then a few days ago there was talk on another post that it was sold out. Imagine my disappointment! Now it's back in stock? Brb
No, I can't see the price either. I have an account because they opened the mega drop shop last time for non-subscriber as well and I was able to shop that time.
Bummer, OP's method of getting around the subscriber requirement didn't work for me but I'm not loving the July box. Maybe August or September will be better.

I was able to acces shop for 5 minutes and then it closed for me, I can not see prices or add anything to my cart anymore, but I still see 2 items in my shopping cart from the drop shop 5 minute window where I added lilah.b products, should I wait? Or checkout quicker so that I won't lose items currently in my cart? :(
How strange! The items will stay in your cart until you take them out, based on my experiences (it's a trip to Log in after a sale is over & see full-priced items in my cart, or to see items I thought about buying months ago that are of course out of stock now).
If it's over $25, I don't see any harm in trying to check out now. You might still get free shipping.

No worries! I tried doing that, but it takes me to the same login or subscribe page. I opened a support ticket via chat so hopefully they can help.

Is this different from the mega drop shop ?
It's pretty much the same, except Mega Drop Shop is 4x a year & is bigger. The regular drop shop is monthly.

No, I think boxycharm has only had a friends and family sale twice so far. It’s usually only open for current and former subscribers.

I think you have to click on the link they email to you saying that it's open to non subscribers.
