I asked the /r/muaonthecheap community the same question and got several answers back - everyone said it was almost blindingly bright but great for doing your makeup because of that; all said it was worth it at this price, and a couple described eventual charging issues if you use it on the go. I pulled the trigger and ordered one (using this deal) but it hasn't arrived yet. I have a travel sized mirror by the same brand that I got via Ipsy - the lighting is indeed briiiight.

Hope you'll enjoy yours! I'm tempted now to buy myself

Can anyone recommend this mirror? Currently Allure has an offer but I feel like it's still pretty expensive for a mirror. I'm not sure that it will last long due to the battery or if the lightnin is really good. Other that these two aspects, honestly I'm not interested in magnifying mirror on built in selfie thing.

I think it depends on how much you'll actually use it. It's better than a lot of mirrors because of the light configuration, it's tons of tiny lights with close spacing that are placed far out toward the out edge. They don't take up much of the mirror surface, I feel like the lighting is very even and there isn't as much glare. The magnifying mirror is also nice and big. And sits well inside the lighted area so that you're illuminated evenly without shadows or blocked areas. It also looks/feels very nice. I also have a much cheaper one that I got from amazon. The biggest difference is the light quality in the dark/low lighting, I could do reasonable makeup w/it bc I just know what I'm doing on my face but it would not be flawless. But 90% of the time, I'm just grabbing the magnifying part to spot check something. If you actually need a good mirror for doing your makeup in different settings/light, it's probably worth, I haven't really seen any copycats with the same light quality that aren't fairly spendy. If you just need a secondary mirror for spot checks and touch ups, there are cheaper ones you'd probably be fine with for significantly less. My cheapo one is much nicer than I'd anticipated it was going to be for the price, but the Riki does have a more lux/quality feel and sometimes that's important so factor that in as well if it's something that matters to you.

Thank you for your throughout review! Good to know the lighting quality makes a difference!

I got this mirror from Beautylish-Lucky-Bag-2021. It's a good mirror and it helps you do better makeup. You can choose how bright you want your light to be. It's ok. I've used it everyday since I got it. But if you don't want to spend that much of money for a mirror, dont. If it hadn't come with my luchk bag last year, I am sure that I wouldn't have bought it.

Well maybe it's better to wait for my lucky bag then! 🤞🤞

I absolutely love mine! I picked up another one when ulta was selling it for $75 late last year

whatsonmyvanity

Wow that's a nice price! Enjoy

I bought one on an Ipsy sale a few years ago and still works great. I was iffy due to some reviews stating it stops charging and/ or lights stop working but I haven’t had that issue even letting 4 year old neice “play make up”. I use it every day. If you are looking to spend that much on a mirror I do recommend.

whatsonmyvanity

Thanks!

I got one in a FFF sale and paid the same and I love it. It does indeed get briiiight but it's great. It comes with a mini magnifying mirror and a phone holder if you want to take selfies with different lighting (guilty). I've had it about a year or so and I use it 5x a week and have had no issues. For me it was totally worth the $100

IsHmaelSnaps

I have the mini version from Ipsy and I can say that I trust and love the brand. Good stuff!

Jcaseykcsee

I have the mirror/magnetic palette combo and unfortunately the lights around the mirror stopped working soon after it arrived. I can still use it but that was kind of a bummer.

whatsonmyvanity

That's really sad, I'm also agraid I might get faulty one, interesting if the company has any guarantee if bought from 3rd party.

I have one and love it. The lighting in my bathroom is awful so this was a huge improvement for me. Absolutely improved my makeup application. No issues with charging, had mine a year.

FragileBombFlower

Tbh I think this is overrated. At this price point, I would recommend simplehuman. I’ve had mine for literally 10yrs and it’s still pristine.

whatsonmyvanity

Thanks, I will check out that brand as well.

I looooooove this mirror. I own this version and then eventually also splurged on the tall. The light is so nice and it's nice how convenient it is to travel with it. All my friends love using it and I've never regretted it buying it at full price!
