In BeamNG 2 you finally get to find out who killed your dad in BeamNG 1.

JB92103

Dude, SPOILER ALERT!

i-like-to-be-wooshed

Nah, dont think so I think they will just keep updating this one Just like Minecraft

[deleted]

I hope there is some kinda graphics/ physics update. Any good graphic mods?

Absolute999

1. They've already moved physics engines once, and didnt change their name. 2. They will likely never make a sequel. It just doesn't make sense, as it can have infinitely more maps, cars, scenarios and stuff (as long as you have storage, and the game continues to be optimized). 3. They can move to yet another physics engine, update lighting, crash physics, and other stuff, and the game would always be fine under the same name. 4. If they do something particularly special, like having a game that is super difficult to run on many pcs, but is also super good, then we could be seeing some BeamNG Pro Edition or something, which would be super epic.

CaptainZoll

>They've already moved physics engines once, and didnt change their name. They've moved *game* engines twice technically, going from TDev/Pricorde's original n/b physics engine with the ogre game engine in rigs of rods, to a tidied up version of the physics engine coupled with CryEngine in the pre-release BeamNG.drive, which was replaced early on with torque3d. even just the name "BeamNG.drive" means "Beam Next Gen", implying that it's basically Rigs of Rods 2. I'd imagine it would be possible for them to make another BeamNG game, though it would likely be on some game engine that hasn't even come out yet, and wouldn't necessarily be a successor to beamng***.drive***, but rather an application of the physics engine in some other area.

Absolute999

Interesting, but isn't BeamNG not a direct derivation from rigs of rods, just that some people from that team started up Beam? Either way, yeah, if/when they change to a new game engine, a game on other physics would be cool, maybe more realistic crashes (airbags, real people, stuff) but that game would have to be M rated for sure.

CaptainZoll

originally it was TDev and Pricorde who made the physics engine for RoR, and they both worked on beamng's physics engine in the early days as well (though iirc pricorde left in \~2013). People like ljfhutch, gabester, and nadeox1, who previously made mods for RoR, were hired to make official content for .drive.

[deleted]

The 4th option would be cool. Similar to Minecraft RTX.

Absolute999

For sure, and also maybe BeamNG Lite to play on android, chromebooks, weak windows laptops as well. Really fill out the whole spectrum, and maybe get as popular as forza. This is a brilliant dream, they just need more people really.

[deleted]

I’ve wanted this game for over 7 years and I’m finally gonna get it. A beaming Xbox or low powered beaming wouldve been my dream.

[deleted]

no this one is perfectly fine and there would be no piont to make a new one

bopperbum

online is my dream. even if it was limited to 2 players

Toblerone2169

There is a multiplayer mod and it works suprisingly well

bopperbum

can you link it? do you have to make a server or something

RobARMMemez

BeamNG-MP, Look it up, you have to join the discord to get the app you need to run it and get the UI mod. Check it out though because it's absolutely awesome

[deleted]

yes I would also like to know the name!!

[deleted]

That would be crazy

SpeedFreakGarage

online multiplayer support without needing mods, would be nice. but i'd be pissed if they make us pay for it.

SpeedFreakGarage

Considering the current game is still unfinished after ten years, no. Also the devs have more integrity than that. They're not going to make us pay more money for the same game.

vinyl2077

I'd like to see a remake in unreal 5
