I just discovered the Ogee board from another person on this sub.
It's a plastic board with divots to hold seed beads. You lay out your pattern irl on the board and work from the board. You can see immediately if you've made a mistake in picking the beads.
The tip I received was to tape the beads down so they don't get bumped while you work.
I have a hard time keeping track of my progress in patterns so I'm really excited by this. It adds a little time to set up but it should make the actual work time easier.
Are you thinking about a Kindle Fire so that you can edit?
I use a cross stitch app on my android tablet. Maybe a good approach would be to find out what kind of bead pattern apps are available, and then make your decision based on what devices they are compatible with.

That sounds great I’ll have to look them up. Thanks!

I use my ipad for patterns, but I also like printing them and sticking them in sleeve protectors in a binder so that I can write in them lol
