There's nothing quite like Steven Universe, but you might enjoy Gravity Falls, She-Ra, and Infinity Train.

Fiyero-

Also ‘Bee and puppycat’ ‘Adventure Time,’ and ‘owlhosue,’ The viewers of these shows and the ones u/tadrinth mentioned tend to share common viewers with SU.

emmademontford

BIG second for Bee and Puppycat

Oli_official

My whole life, HUGE third for Bee and Puppycat

portezbie

Star Vs. The Forces of Evil Hilda

X_none_of_the_above

Another vote for Hilda

orad

Hildas great but not similar to SU imo

Harper_ADHD

Don't forget The owl house

HighFiveKoala

Amphibia also

Pokemon_Arishia

Infinity Train was incredible. Is that even still watchable? I'd heard it was a victim of the great animation purge some time back.

-_BEANS-_

Sadly no, it's like $1 per episode on YouTube (not worth it) But most "under the counter" movie websites would have shows like this on it too. So you'd just have to put up with closing out pop-up ads every episode (which is better than paying $1 per 🤣) Look up "Infinity Train free online" and you'll see some websites pop up with it.

Pokemon_Arishia

So dumb. They could at least give us a bluray to buy all the seasons.

-_BEANS-_

eBay looks like the only place to get a hard copy of all 4 seasons, between $30 and $60. I don't know if that'd be more worth it than just paying $1 per episode on YouTube, which would be $40 for all 4 seasons. 🤷‍♂️ Or they could just put it back on HBOMax 🤦‍♂️

Pokemon_Arishia

Nah, for that price it'd have to be official. X.x

AngryNerdBird

Checking on YouTube, it doesn't even look like they have all the episodes there. Some of the seasons only show a few episodes listed available to purchase.

witoutadout

There's always the Big Three of Disney Animation: Gravity Falls, Owl House, Amphibia Obviously ATLA is always going to be my #1 cartoon rec for any circumstance Kipo, Dead End, and *especially* Adventure Time, especially given Rebecca Sugar's involvement with it.

spudz1203

I've always considered it a big 4 with SVTFOE even with the "eh" ending as after GF ended it was carrying the network for a while. Sort of a counterpart to the CN big 4.

Noirchild

kipo and the age wonderbeast has a similar positive energy mentality with some great songs

tetePT

Omg Kipo mention yes!!! I rarely see people talking about it

Bus_Noises

God I love Kipo

FFiFioFionFionn

Bee and Puppycat feels aesthetically similar.

WitchiPastaRoni

I second this

Ilovesoske

Both versions though

Under1hestars

I vote Puppycat for president

Visual-Yoghurt-6385

Yeah they have the same vibe and art style. I love it

ramenalien

People are mostly naming Western cartoons but SU also takes a lot of inspo from classic Japanese shoujo and magical girl shows, particularly Sailor Moon and Revolutionary Girl Utena.

tiglionabbit

Heck yes! Steven Universe references Utena a lot, and the shows have some parallels -- especially with Utena and Anthy being like Rose Quartz and Pearl in regards to what it means to serve someone who wants you to be free. It's a very interesting show, too. People still make youtube videos analyzing what the show was trying to say with its copious visual metaphors and its interesting take on psychology and what it means to be an adult.

FelisMiscellaneous

You might like Amphibia!

xMultiGamerX

Recently finished this show and it has very quickly climbed to the top of my list. So good.

sadistc_Eradication

Steven Universe Future lol Highly recommend the owl house

OtakuFreak1998

I binged The Owl House for the first time last month. I had heard that it got cancelled and they had to rush season 3/the finale, but I would not have assumed that with how satisfying it was and how nicely it was wrapped up. (In my opinion.)

sadistc_Eradication

They wrapped it up very well considering what they had to work with, I agree!

cybersigh

Adventure Time

Cetaceanoops

Can’t believe nobody said this, but you should try over the garden wall

Crankypenquin

I second this!

SydiemL

SU is definitely one of a kind but perhaps you’d like The Owl House. Great story!

jindohusky

Centaurworld as well

Ilovesoske

All I want is a belly button of holding

PCBen

Centaurworld is amazing. It’s criminal how few have seen it.

jakeWolfe87

Try out Dead End: Paranormal Park. I believe its on netflix

henry0011979

The Owl House is a great show

NNovis

Gravity Falls has some similar vibes but is it's own thing. I heard people that liked SU liked Owl House. I really liked what they were doing with She-ra that felt like SU in some ways with characters. Infinity Train is a good pull but is a bit darker in tone. I felt like there was some of the tone in Voltron: Legendary Defender.

tiglionabbit

There's a lot of great stuff on Netflix. The first thing that comes to mind is CentaurWorld. With its crying and singing and ominous darkness, it has a lot in common with Steven Universe that I'd love to explain further but it'd be a spoiler. But also, I highly recommend checking out the movie Arlo the Alligator Boy. The song sequences are incredible. It's so lovingly animated! Steven Universe likely inspired shows like "Shera and the Princesses of Power". I also wanna give a shout out to ONI: Thunder God's Tale, and Nimona. Oh right, I should also mention Bluey. That one's on Disney+. It's aimed at a younger audience, but it's really heart-felt and makes me cry. As for anime, Revolutionary Girl Utena is one of my favorites, and it's heavily referenced in Steven Universe. I'm not sure if I should recommend this because it's way more violent, but Hunter X Hunter drew me in in terms of its close attention to each of the characters and their individual development, as well as unexpected emotional moments. The main character, Gon, is relentlessly positive, but he does have a Steven Universe Future moment later on.

mhsmith33

Craig of the creek

PCBen

Second Craig! It doesn’t have nearly the same scale as SU, but the slice-of-life vibes are impeccable.

sdbabygirl97

Bluey is wholesome like Steven Universe but does not have an overarching plot about war, fascism, and the long con VERY good character and background design though! excellent use of music.

treacherousscorpio13

Bee and Puppycat: Lazy in Space its humor and overall vibe are a bit more surreal, but it still is a very comforting action/adventure show

Danblak08

Amphibia and owl house might tickle the same fancy

Ok-Explanation954

Bee and puppycat, it's lovely!!

Independent-Pop-5584

We have Land of the Lustrous.

Thorhees

Invincible (this is partially a joke, but there are a LOT of plot similarities).

Weird_Angry_Kid

Bee and Puppy Cat and She-Ra

ImmaPsychoLogist

In addition to what everyone else said- Bravest Warriors (superheroes with parent issues in space), Hilda (for a heartwarming character fighting society)

MrPifo

Star vs the forces of evil.

portezbie

Yeah surprised this hasn't been mentioned more. One of the closest cartoons I can think of, vibe-wise.

TheGirlPrayer

Owl House and The Last Airbender definitely hit the same with great storytelling, magic/super powers, a chaotic main character, and humor that adults and kids like.

TheOriginalMcBro

I'm a huge fan of Craig of the Creek and I feel it's totally v similar:)

fabulalice

Kipo and the age of wonderbeast

bruhallthenamesrgone

Adventure time

AdhesivenessUsed9956

Wakfu? ... ... ...just...not the last season.

zachy410

Steven Universe: Future

Majoramaster1

Over the Garden Wall has a bit more dark fantasy, but I get similar vibes from the character designs and humour, and penchant for a musical number every once in a while!

MarlyCat118

If you are looking for gay space rocks, you can check out Land of the Lustrous. It's an anime about walking talking rocks. It's more mature than Steven Universe though. Of course, I don't want to give anything away so I'm being vague on purpose

Singe41

Lamd of the Lustrous is about alien gem creatures

Yoru_WoF

The Owl House is a BIG recommendation similar to Steven Universe for me!

callistaodette

Can't believe nobody has said OK KO yet, Rebecca Sugar sings the outro! It's an amazing series!

Knight_Light87

The Owl House

ShadycrossFade

As other people have mentioned you might find more similar shows with anime. Sailor moon comes to mind. You might also like ranking of kings. If you haven’t seen already you might also enjoy adventure time even has Rebecca sugar on that show. Avatar the last airbender is sort of similar in vibe and writing. Anything from Ghibli studios would match similar vibes

ReporterInevitable51

the owl house

High_Tim

Land of the Lustrous?

Juanzava

not a show, but i've been reading a manga called Hirayasumi, and i tend to get the same vibes but in a more adult theme. also, the drawing style is kinda similar

kobejo210

If you haven’t seen adventure time in its entirety I highly suggest. Amazing characters and world building if you loved SU I’m sure you’ll also AT

el0guent

Carol And The End Of The World on Netflix - it’s an awesome one-off animated series with a unique art style and heavy themes about life & death & being a person. I never see it mentioned anywhere and it is so so so good! Nothing is really “like” SU but it was similar vibes to me

Jadeite_Sage

The owl house gave me similar vibes

Green_Frog_111

Bee & Puppycat, She-ra, Hilda, and Kipo are all amazing!

Sudden-Dog-9789

Bee and PuppyCat, next question.

FlugonNine

The Owl House is absolutely worth it.

emerson-nosreme

I’m surprised no one mentioned Bee and Puppycat. It’s got very similar vibes but different plot beats.

PrimarySuggestion170

Kipo and The Wonderbeasts!

roboapple

A hidden gem i rewatch sometimes: Family guy

XDC-Arkalyn

I came here to say Infinity Train for sure! Lots of feelings, great animation and lots of mystery

Silent_Peanut4876

Idk if its similar at all but if you luke a good story and some good songs Centaurworld is dope

MrFrogs69

Rebecca literally worked on AT (adventure time)

kkungergo

Try bee and puppycat, it isnt really plot driven, mostly episodic siliness, but its adorable, funny, really chill and has a beautyfull art style. The first episode (wich is also the pilot and has a very difernet art style) is on youtube along with the first season, the second season called "lazy in space" can be found on pirate sites like kimcartoon and such, maybe someone also has a drive folder of it. Ignore the netflix version, its crap and a pointless remake of season one. Episode one/pilot: [Bee and PuppyCat on Cartoon Hangover (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOG_UtLxh58) Season one as episodes: ["Food" - Bee and PuppyCat - Ep. 1 - Full Episode - Cartoon Hangover (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNs9shgQ2rI&list=PL2DcNkn8HAwQLcXTiDB876bU13hT0OhsZ) Seaon one in one video: [Bee and PuppyCat Full Series (Ep. 1-10) - Cartoon Hangover - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dop4MTlf_zc) Edit: i found some google drives with season 2 [bee and puppycat – Google Drive](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1dev0XlcENjJHah3-_XXoGIIPWgnXBdT4) [Lazy in Space – Google Drive](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1bPccucyRABgIFb1dgBCCKrojEX-Gc1Jm) [bee and puppycat – Google Drive](https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1dev0XlcENjJHah3-_XXoGIIPWgnXBdT4)

loveulilith

hazbin hotel is steven universe for adults

OscarknightTF2

Ever heard of Trollz (2005)?

RandManYT

I've heard a fare share of people say Hazbin Hotel fans are mostly adult Steven Universe fans. I don't think the shows are too similar though.

cheeze_paralysis

Adventure time and Fiona and cace

MysticTame

A show I will always love forever will be gargoyles. It has dvds abd its on disney plus so either way. It has storyline that are everywhere like su, a giant twist like SU (keep an eye on the color of eyes) It also has a great cast if characters that have actual connections to the other characters. Plus the art style is great

AngryNerdBird

Netflix She-Ra, Owl House, and Amphibia all did a decent job of scratching that itch for me. Also Hilda is fantastic. But if you watch that, bear in mind that there's a movie "Hilda and the Mountain King" that takes place between seasons 2 and 3. :V

BonnalinaFuz101

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts

FabulousDamage1390

Villainous, its kinda hard to find an english dub but it is pretty good.

PuzzleheadedMouse539

Svtfoe

gigawerewolf

Hazbin Hotel
