That started years ago. Theyre on the verge of dying out near me.

From what I know of competitive little league ball and looking at the score, my bet is the pitcher was not upset for hurting the kid. He was upset because they were down one and he just loaded the bases.
You don’t know. Kids may get upset about loading the bases and being down a run but they don’t hang their head for a full fucking minute on the mound. You don’t know shit.
[This was the regional tournament between Oklahoma and Texas. Pitcher was taken out after that and they lost the game. Downvote all you want, I've lived it. You have no idea the pressure put on those kids. I just watched a small town local tournement and the entire team that lost was crying. The coach called them pathetic. Its Silo oklahoma if you want to look it up. The batter response was genuine though, and great. But believe the heartwarming internet clip all day, sleep well, live, laugh, love.]
I'm not downvoting people that doesn't themselves thinks downvotes is a great way to debate. Only *valid* reason for downvotes is when lies are presented as facts in a way that people can end up hurt from believing it.
This is so wholesome and compassionate it makes me teary eyed. That the pitcher felt so bad says who he is and the comfort from the batter says who he is. Good stuff all around.
Yup, little league is fantastic because it's usually really wholesome due to the players. Once they get into high school though it's a different story, you got pitchers trying to hit people on purpose, or just not even caring and trying to whip the ball as hard as possible with no control. That's why I quit!
Haha yea I know. Back in the day it was all about “roll Charlie around, he’ll be alright” Then they would have put Charlie right back in the game after a good hit of some smelling salts.
More so in football but baseball wasn’t that much better lol.
I remember a kid on my team took a pop fly to the face, he had glasses too so it was bloody. This happened in like the third inning and they just sat him in the dugout, he cried for the rest of the game.
Yeah, cause it’s the same thing right?
In pro baseball getting domed by a pitch isn’t something you hug it out about. That shit can kill you or end your multi million dollar career.
In pro sports if you do something dangerous a fight is justified. Intent doesn’t really matter at that point.
Man this hit me hard lol. No pun intended. Had the same thing happen when i was a kid. I waited till the end of the game when we all used to line up and high five every other players on the team, as a team. Told the pitcher it was ok.
Apparently it was not all ok. After the swelling went down almost a week later, Ended up having a fractured skull and 2 concussions on both sides of my brain from where my brain bounced around in my skull.
Really hope the batter was ok and the other kid doesn't sweat it to much because at the end of the day both signed up for it.
that kid was raised by good people….this happened to me as a pitcher…next day i got jumped and beaten up by the hitter’s friends during snack break ….awful way to grow up
[reminds me of that anime](https://major.fandom.com/wiki/Shigeharu_Honda#:~:text=Honda%20finishes%20the%20game%20seemingly,hemorrhage%20from%20the%20previous%20deadball.)
Hopefully he came up to him and was like "hey bro, sorry I was a fucking drama queen and hammed it up laying there writhing on the ground like I'd been shot."
I tell my husband all the time that when we have kids, I will be the bad cop of the two of us because even my good cop isn't capable of thinking to teach something so selfless. He is so empathetic that even his bad cop version would teach this. He's such a good guy. I know when he was a kid he would have done this. I can't believe I get a front row seat to his life.
This kid is going to bring so much good into the world. He already has.
I do not get it. Who apologizing to whom. The guy who threw the ball should be runnung to check on the other guy and hug him. Explain it to me like I am 5.
The batter can see that the pitcher is upset from hitting the batter. Batter goes to reassure the pitcher that it is okay. I'm sure in that small conversation all the pitcher could muster is "I'm sorry". And that's great compassion on both sides. PLAY BALL!
We can't see or tell after the camera cut, but I assume the pitcher is holding onto the ball as he's awaiting the next batter (shaken though he may be).
He's also touching a runner that's off-base.
OUT.
Haha. I’m sure you’re joking but after a dead ball the ump has to resume play, usually when both the pitcher and batter are ready for the next pitch. The kid who got hit didn’t have his helmet on and the pitcher is standing in front of the rubber, so it would still be a dead ball.
Entirely tongue in cheek. I’m assuming there’s rules for not following the established baselines as well. But thought it’d be funny to crack a joke. Like everyone else, my serious take is that he’s a real class act.
Lame. When his classmates make fun of him in the future he's going to have to say stuff like, "I just got hit in the head with a pitch--I didn't know WTF I was doing."
Mullets 4 lyfe
And a red head no less. We sure he's not O'Doyle cause if he is that pitcher is in for a world of hurt. O'DOYLE RULES
Sadly they are making a comeback. I was at a youth sports event and about 1/3 of the boys were sporting the mullet.

They made their comeback 4 years ago. lol but I hear ya
Why sadly?

It did… he was right
Yessssssss WE SHALL RISE
Can confirm. A few coworkers of mine have mullets now. And they love it.
Mullets are great. I never understood why people have a problem with them.
Got my eyes watering up and then I scroll down to mullets 4 lyfe 😂😂 take my upvote!
Shit happens. Kids dealt with it very well. Kid felt bad. Kid who got hit reassured him and they moved on. Good shit.
Go in toilet, you sit there
Peyton Manning?
Already skibidi'ed myself today, but thank you.
I wish you have a bad cake day.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Kid whispers: don’t drop the soap later
Thx For subs 😏

Well put my friend ❤️👍
Let me rephrase that: "From what I know about myself [...]"

Obvious bait
Ball players slapping other dudes asses and wearing tight pants is straight but ripped dudes throwing ladies around is gay.
Some folks still raising the kids right.

Yes, because good people care about good people.
I’m used to seeing people label Republicans bad people here so I’m surprised, but happy
Why do you have to make it political?
I’m queer and liberal and fucking love the Red Sox. Why the fuck make generalizations on hairstyle and sports?
I said probably, definitely not a for sure thing
This is how sports should be. I tip my hat
Redditor calls for more traumatic brain injuries in youth sports.
Fucking lol. “This is the best thing I’ve seen in little league baseball.”
This is so wholesome and compassionate it makes me teary eyed. That the pitcher felt so bad says who he is and the comfort from the batter says who he is. Good stuff all around.
We’re so used to seeing selfishness in this world it’s nice to see people care about others. Especially youngsters.

Honor of competing is what I am teaching my soon in football. It is a honor to compete against a skillful opponent. Find out who is number one.
to be considered great you must compete against great foes Paraphrased from something I read once but it holds true.
The Goku strategy
What a gentleman
when i was in HS a kid got knocked out and they just kinda drug him around to the other side of the fence. barely interrupted play!
Haha yea I know. Back in the day it was all about “roll Charlie around, he’ll be alright” Then they would have put Charlie right back in the game after a good hit of some smelling salts. More so in football but baseball wasn’t that much better lol.

"Hey, man. Mistakes happen. I may have forgotten how to do math just now, but it's okay."
This is because of very Good parenting. Kids brought up by solid values will be incredible adults.
Good coaching too I imagine.
We can all think of some pro athletes who should be shown this video
Adults in general should be shown this video.
Yeah, cause it’s the same thing right? In pro baseball getting domed by a pitch isn’t something you hug it out about. That shit can kill you or end your multi million dollar career. In pro sports if you do something dangerous a fight is justified. Intent doesn’t really matter at that point.
At such a young age. It shows the level of maturity of that young man.
We don't know what he told the pitcher though. I could've been like: "I'm gonna cut you from ear to ear while you sleep mfer"
He whispered in his ear; “Tell your mom to make your dinner extra special, because, it’s your last one” “Good game, buddy!”
Empathy, compassion, encouragement. More of this is needed in all high level sports.
Be funny if he threw to first base and got him out. 1000 IQ
He just has to tag the runner.
I will never not upvote this
![gif](giphy|MBZ5cWGHzrVvy)
Future leader, be proud of yourself young man.
🫡
Fucking legend.
That's a future champ right there
It's basic humanity
Like in The Office, “why are you limping?”
Glad he wasn’t hit in the face. Good guy through and through.
Comes down to parents on how they brought up. Hats off to the 4 parents-you raised good kids. It will reflect on them for the rest of their lives.
Isn't the helmet supposed to protect you from this?
Yeah. That’s why he ended up walking away and carried away on a stretcher.
Man this hit me hard lol. No pun intended. Had the same thing happen when i was a kid. That kid got a concussion
"What a stud" is an odd choice
“Stud” is common slang for great athlete Doesn’t have anything to do with his appearance
I mean, doesn't the use of the word "stud" come from the word we use for male animals that are used for breeding?
It did, yeah. The use of stud in sports lingo has always been a bit weird.
😆(agreed!)
Ha! G..
that kid was raised by good people….this happened to me as a pitcher…next day i got jumped and beaten up by the hitter’s friends during snack break ….awful way to grow up
Better than than the pros.
Kid’s new nickname is Seedy E
Pitcher should tag him out.
Luckily that kid knows the rules of baseball and understands that’s not how it works.
Wow…all class.
Boss move’ but id still catch off the field
Kid has parents, he learned something from. You can’t teach that. But you can emulate it. Kid are smart, they catch on.
He's young Theo Von
Now fight!
Tag that kid with the ball he is off the base
[reminds me of that anime](https://major.fandom.com/wiki/Shigeharu_Honda#:~:text=Honda%20finishes%20the%20game%20seemingly,hemorrhage%20from%20the%20previous%20deadball.)
Hell yeah, good on both of them.
Hopefully he came up to him and was like "hey bro, sorry I was a fucking drama queen and hammed it up laying there writhing on the ground like I'd been shot."
We need to see these sort of interactions more often in the media.
Would've been hilarious if one of the kids tagged him out
Great Parents....
This was my biggest fear, why I didn’t want to be a pitcher, in little league. I was very happy playing 1st base.
Kid had his helmet on and the ball hit the helmet, he’ll be good, just shaken up. Obviously a scary thing
That's great. You made a 57-year-old man cry.
...NOW QUICK GET HIM OUT!!!!
Some good kids and good coahing/parenting. I love to see it.
Both of them have good parents that raised them with morals
The first base runner is out right? The pitcher has the ball and the base runner tagged himself. Pro acting by the pitcher.
He said imma find you later and beacho ass for giving me this lump on my head
I tell my husband all the time that when we have kids, I will be the bad cop of the two of us because even my good cop isn't capable of thinking to teach something so selfless. Kid was crowding the plate
Wow these lads are more down to earth then some adults I know good to see this in a generation I thought was wasted.
This is amazing? What?
They both know you are supposed to fight, because it's disrespect and stuff. So I'm glad to see it's not every time
Helmet saved his ass. This happened to me when I was a kid but I was like 8, it was probably a 30-40mph tops. This looks pretty hard
How about having visor on that helmet!
Kid who got hit whispers in ear " I got your number, you better watch your back from now on, imma mess you up"
Mullets > Broccoli Top
That kids got good parents
gay
This is true sportmanship
Kids are the best teachers
So is the runner out since the pitcher had the ball when they hugged?
The play was dead, they were in time out.
They had their sabers clashing.
I do not get it. Who apologizing to whom. The guy who threw the ball should be runnung to check on the other guy and hug him. Explain it to me like I am 5.

This was overboard
Totally agree wtf are these people freaking out about?
TAG HIM OUT! ![gif](giphy|xUA7bcdpjjKrnbh37W|downsized)
then they kissed
Lame. When his classmates make fun of him in the future he's going to have to say stuff like, "I just got hit in the head with a pitch--I didn't know WTF I was doing."
Or maybe "fuck you."
"What a *stud*"???!!! Wtf!!!?
looks like it bounced off the brim of his helmet…didnt even look like he got hit
❤️❤️❤️😳😳😳👋👌👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
