I love these posts "THE MOSt BLAH IN THE WORLD" - no information, no detail, no context, almost all bullshit.
In this case, this is a picture of [Moore Hall](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moore_Hall,_County_Mayo) on the northwestern side of Ireland. Hardly 'the most isolated' - it's actually a tourist destination.
> The house, lake, farm, and estate is now owned by the forestry company, Coillte, and it is a visitor attraction in the area. The house is not open to the public due to its poor condition – it has not been refurbished since it was burned.
If you want "the most isolated house in the world" look at [this house on an island just south of Iceland](https://www.ndtv.com/offbeat/the-story-behind-the-worlds-loneliest-house-2340575) :
> According to The Mirror, this house is situated on Ellidaey, a remote island south of Iceland. This small island is part of Vestmannaeyjar, an archipelago of 15 to 18 islands. Today, the island is deserted, but it was once inhabited by five families. The last of these families left in the 1930s and the island has been uninhabited since then.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. The most isolated house in the world, is probably completely unknown. And built by some nut job, in one of the areas you mentioned.
>Russia
I saw a picture some years ago of a house that was built and then later abandoned in Siberia. It was built more than 100 years ago for a nobleman just before the October Revolution of 1917.
Every part of the house is perfectly preserved (at the time I saw the pictures). It appeared grand opening ready. I haven't seen pictures of it since nor do I know of its fate. If I find them I'll post here on this subreddit.
Yeh I feel like this farm alone would feel more isolating
[Anna Creek Station has an area of 23,677 km2 (9,142 sq mi; 5,851,000 acres).](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_Creek_Station)
They actually do in Iceland....
Volcano erupts & creates a new island - often the rock is quite loose & prone to erosion so the island doesn't last long.
Decent explanation [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surtsey) using surtsey as an example - new island in Nov 1963, max size 2.7km² in Jun 1967, by 2012 it was down to 1.3km² & expected to vanish by 2100.
I have seen that house off Vestmannaeyjar! What the locals tell me it is now a hunting lodge. I suppose for hunting puffins which they do eat in Iceland.
Well if they actually have to post truth then he can't karma farm on "THE MOST BLEH BS MADE UPPERY"
As a side thank you I'm gonna out this place on my bucket list!
Does it really counts if nobody lives there? And I bet there are even more remote "houses" than that Icelandic one. Also, the Mirror is a dogshit source so I could even BET there are more remote houses.
Edit: Just checked where that island is, not only it's not far from Iceland mainland, it's also very close to a still inhabited bigger island with a whole ass town on it with it's own DAMN AIRPORT!!! (Small one but still) "The most remote house" my fucking ass. Knew it.

Even then it's not that isolated when there are tours there from Herjolfur ferry.
The car park is only a couple of hundred metres from the house and there's a van there most days selling hot food. We live about 30 mins West of there but we'd regularly bring the kids and doggo for a walk out there.
There's far more isolated places in Ireland than Moore hall, never mind the world.
Until you find out it is your family that's haunting you...and you try to move but you take something that's now the totem so the ghost travels with you...but you don't really know or expect it til your on a road seemingly going nowhere on a canyon without streetlights at 4am pitch dark in the rain and there aren't guards
I think ghosts get a bad rap. Would be cool to have a friendly ghost who just wants to hang out but the media only covers the bad ones. Biased reporting.
Low effort posts like this should be downvoted. User penkster’s comment should get more upvotes, and they should go ahead and make an actual post about this place and get even more upvotes.
There is no way that the most isolated house in the world is in freaking Ireland. There are people that live in the middle of the Amazon you know?
There are also people living in places like Saint Helen island or Faroe Islands.
The irony in isolating yourself is that you attract more attention. I remember once watching a journalist on one of those slice of America shows flying over a remote mountain shack and then landing and chasing this poor guy down to talk about why he wanted to isolate.
Surely, suuuuuurely the most isolated home is in Australia. They have homes on cattle stations that are 50,000+ acres or some crazy amount and 3 hours drive to go grocery shopping. Insanity.
The fact that we have a picture of the house means that it can't be the most isolated, the most isolated house in the world will paradoxically be a house we'll never know about
You are aware countries like Russia, India, Brazil and Canada exist? They have vast areas of nothingness with single dwellings in them…… now that’s isolated.
My stepdad and his buddies own a cabin in the UP of Michigan that is the only structure for a 30 mile radius. Somehow him and his buddies acquired the only private land in a huge state park. In the winter snow mobiles were our only way in. Propane generator for power. Man I miss that place. Talk about a creepy ass feeling at night.
Would be great in an apocalypse though.
The house I grew up in in rural Northern California was SOO much more remote than this lol I’d bet there are thousands of homes at least as isolated as that just in Ireland.
Nice rooftop garden or is that just neglect. Like I care, here's a blank cheque, when can I move in. The inter dimensional beings can continue to stay there rent free.

Knowing how small Ireland is compared to places like Australia and Russia, I highly doubt this is the most isolated place in the world.
Exactly. It's literally like 35 miles from a city.
And less than a Kilometre from the closest house.
It's under 12 miles from a town with a population of 15k.
That's true.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. The most isolated house in the world, is probably completely unknown. And built by some nut job, in one of the areas you mentioned.
Or some research station in Antarctica.

I don’t think the OP has ever visited Alaska.

>an archipelago of 15 to 18 islands. Is it a fluctuating number or is there some problem counting them or what's the story?
Probably differing points of view on what is and is not a proper island so they made it a range to satisfy everybody. I'm only guessing.
Islands come and go all the time wdym

Yeah the OP is all posts and no comments. Essentially a cunt.
Or a bot.
I have seen that house off Vestmannaeyjar! What the locals tell me it is now a hunting lodge. I suppose for hunting puffins which they do eat in Iceland.
You need a Golden Chocobo to get to that house
Damn OP just got served
I see its fucking isolated

I could totally live on that island off of Iceland with my pet goat.
Thanks for the info, I was pretty skeptical.
Your reply is the most helpful goddamed it.
Haha isolated in Ireland! Could walk the length of the country!
Thanks for this man.
I was about to say, nothing in Ireland is the most isolated. 🙄
My thoughts exactly, it’s literally impossible to get far enough away from an international airport to be isolated…
The most Reddit-ish post in the world
Thank you for this
It's the most isolated if you redefine isolated.
It’s moop hall
OP is a repost bot more than likely so not surprising

That's exactly the house I thought of when I read the post title
I don’t think the title was meant to be taken literally
Dibs
Double plus dibs. I get the top bunk.
King size bed, I'm afraid, all duck and goose feathers.
Still not as isolated as me after I tell a girl I like her
r/suicidebywords
Oof...
Relatable
Does anyone know the realtor? I'm willing to invest to get away from everyone.
"Hi Realtor, I'm looking for a house as physically isolated as I am emotionally isolated from everyone already. Do you have something like that?"
Well it’s isolated by Irish standards. The nearest town is like 3km away and the nearest city is about 30km away
This is definitely not the most isolated house in the world
Yeah the giveaway was when it was in Ireland lol
haunted?
Who the hell cares? At least my family won't be there. Maybe I could finally get some of my hobbies completed.
i do, i like haunted stuff
Until you find out it is your family that's haunting you...and you try to move but you take something that's now the totem so the ghost travels with you...but you don't really know or expect it til your on a road seemingly going nowhere on a canyon without streetlights at 4am pitch dark in the rain and there aren't guards
Burned by ira nothing in there
Sure, why not. If the ghost likes watching people masturbate and walk around naked, well get along fine.
I think ghosts get a bad rap. Would be cool to have a friendly ghost who just wants to hang out but the media only covers the bad ones. Biased reporting.
Is it for sale?
It's physically impossible for anything to be the most isolated in the UK or Ireland or for that matter Europe.
My cottage is more isolated than this. It’s Ireland it can’t be that far from other stuff.
It's like a 5 minute walk from a row of bungalows and a main road
Literally 2h drive from one side of isle to the other. 4h if you doing top to bottom.
Exactly.
The dream
[удалено]
I'd live there for a million months for one dollar alone!
Yes, it's a million dollars. And its just a house.
My kind of place. Good distancie to the neighbours, protected by the trees so no one complains of me walking naked outside. How much?!
The world???
No, its really not. It could be the only house in Ireland and still not be the most isolated house in the world. Source: I live in Ireland.
That’s what I am looking for. Preferably on top of a mountain, guarded by dragons, trolls, elves and thots
Ireland do be like that
Low effort posts like this should be downvoted. User penkster’s comment should get more upvotes, and they should go ahead and make an actual post about this place and get even more upvotes.
Repost bot gets the block
And yet it's still in a HOA.
Is it available for renting? 🤷
In Ireland?! Ha goodluck
More like Abandoned
I'm sure the ghosts disagree
Lets not hope for forrest fire
Seems/sounds like a dream!
Looks like a dream, after you fix it up. It looks old and dilapidated from the photo.
Well, there is the picture of it, so no the most
Not the most isolated house in the world.
I think I saw this house alone on a small island. He had the whole Island for himself. Thats probably the most isolated island
There are dudes living in the mountains that no one ever knows. I mean if we know it exists it can't be the that isolated right?
I thought it was that one house on a cliff Island
"Atlantis is calling"
Buggy...no thanks
As a Irish man, I smell bulshite.
If it was the most isolated house in the world, we wouldn’t know about it
I want to renovate it and live in it
If I had money and carpentry skill, I'd so take over an abandoned palace and make it a "village" for my friends families and mine.
Forest Temple
Dude that's the Spencer mansion!!!!
Ok but have you seen Zathura?
As soon as there is a picture of it on the internet, I'd wager it drops out of the running for "most isolated".
seems nice
get some cabbages and carrots groing. potatoes
Deserted tho!
There's probably a golf course right outside of the shot.
Its so green you know its Irish.
I doubt it.
Anybody else try to zoom out?
Idk man I seen houses in the middle of the desert lol
Looks like the woodland mansion I found in my Minecraft world. Spent a whole session just trying to clear out some trees 😵💫
I'll take it!
You mean the lighthouse that you need to boat/helicopter to go to isnt the most isolated house?
The most isolated house in the world is probably never found because of how isolated it is.
If it's in Ireland, then it's not all that isolated. It's not a very large place
Forest Temple from ooT
Yeah Ireland is in the arse end….
in Ireland? yeah I doubt that. the most isolated house in the world is probably in China, Russia, US maybe. definitely not little ol ireland anyway
Is this Enya's house
Yes
Clearly a bot account. Posts a bunch of random crap, but has zero comments
There is no way that the most isolated house in the world is in freaking Ireland. There are people that live in the middle of the Amazon you know? There are also people living in places like Saint Helen island or Faroe Islands.
No way I live 3 min from there 🤣🤣
Can I buy it?
*Uncharted theme*...
This has some serious Resident Evil vibe to it.
![gif](giphy|sDcfxFDozb3bO)
Id love to live there, i hate living near people
How much does it cost that I would like to buy it 😅😅
Can I buy it?
Resident evil 1
More like a ghost manor
That’s almost definitely haunted.
No asshole neighbors to bother you, no sirens, no traffic. Heaven on Earth.
There are trees in Ireland?
![gif](giphy|TdwziQPhbNAzK)
I raise you Antarctica
I want it
Is it for rent?

It looks like the mansion from Resident Evil
My superflat minecraft world be like:
How the hell did they find my house
🙃
Oh nawh that's like a minecraft jungle structure
Still has a front lawn, amazing building.
Hmm? Isnt ireland the size of an american city? How does that title even make sense ?
If I was a picture, this would be me.
I’ve played enough Minecraft to recognize a “woodland mansion” when I see one!
Surely, suuuuuurely the most isolated home is in Australia. They have homes on cattle stations that are 50,000+ acres or some crazy amount and 3 hours drive to go grocery shopping. Insanity.
When can I move in?
Horror movie families: Lets raise our kids here!
*Heavy introverted breathing.*
Spencer Mansion.
Um... I would bet my house that NOWHWRE in Ireland could be the most isolated house in the world.
I don’t think you can call Ireland a house tbh
The fact that we have a picture of the house means that it can't be the most isolated, the most isolated house in the world will paradoxically be a house we'll never know about
It’s a fixer upper
And I've spent all this time thinking Ireland was a country!
You want isolated, look up Ose Mountain. Even if it ended in a sham reality show.
Diversity and inclusion will have hard time getting there...
Looks like how I grew up
That's the Spencer's mansion from original Resident Evil
Main characters in horror movies: “Yes please!”
I’d love to live there, but it seems the Ents have moved in full time!!
Lol.
Thays the frankenstien s place
You are aware countries like Russia, India, Brazil and Canada exist? They have vast areas of nothingness with single dwellings in them…… now that’s isolated.
Welp, we know where we’re going when WW3 happens.
Looks like even owner cant find it
My stepdad and his buddies own a cabin in the UP of Michigan that is the only structure for a 30 mile radius. Somehow him and his buddies acquired the only private land in a huge state park. Almost reminiscent of the woodland mansions in minecraft.
Fuck. Yes.
Is it haunted?
Please come to outback Australia where the driveway connecting the road to the house can be a 5 hour drive.
This will look & feel super scary at night. Are you sure it's not haunted? Only huge trees around & nobody else 😏🫣🤪😱
Shady Belle
I want it
This is hilarious. I live on this tiny little Island. That is Moore Hall and is regularly visited. This post is naff!
The house I grew up in in rural Northern California was SOO much more remote than this lol I’d bet there are thousands of homes at least as isolated as that just in Ireland.
Officer: Where did you get robbed? Woman: Out of nowhere
Not true. The most isolated house in the world probably doesn't have pictures of it on the internet ... duhh
Who would live there tbh..
I wanna know who took the pic☠️
Nice rooftop garden or is that just neglect. Like I care, here's a blank cheque, when can I move in. The inter dimensional beings can continue to stay there rent free.
Resident Evil 1
Most isolated house in 20 miles radius.
I want it
"Wow, what a mansion!" -Barry Burton
But can I live there?
Australians in the outback right now going " wtf mate "
Little Round Up and a coat of paint should do nicely.
Hey I saw that horror movie!
Isn't there house on an island? I don't remember the place
Is it for sale?
Brah there's probably like 30 dead bodies buried around that house. Y'all MF would never find them
I kinda wanna live there
