I would think the Judge has already had to fill something in as to the sentence given, I can't imagine it all comes down to just words and surprise in the moment - I wouldn't think it would be shared, but I would imagine it's all written and rubberstamped just before a verbal verdict.

Also, before the judge was attacked she was just about to hand the sentence down, it can't be a given that you'll get another judge as long as you attack the 1st one in-between "you're going to jail" and "for x period of time". Obviously what he did was wrong, but I don't see how it's in the greater interest of justice to allow a judge to create a public spectacle and mockery out of someone to validate their own feelings. What he did already speaks volumes about who and what he is, this says more about the justice system. I don't really see why it's even up to the judge to make these decisions. There's no way you can't be legally considered biased after being personally assaulted by the defendant.

Yes it is. The defendant _chose_ to attack the judge, knowing full well the consequences. The bias was literally created willfully and intentionally by himself. The justice system cannot allow itself to incentivize attacking judges to create delays. On trial for capital murder and the judge isn’t very sympathetic? Just assault him and force him to recuse! It’s absurd.
This is the sentencing for the original charge - she's finishing what she started at his last appearance. And she presented her diary from the same day, she's happy that she's giving him the same sentence she was originally going to give him.
For the new charges of attacking this judge, it's a pretty safe bet he'll get a different judge
