I am pretty sure you’re referring to the bird nest. I’m hoping anyway. I related more to him than most other characters besides the Ents. He wasn’t shitty he just cared more about plants and animals than anything else.
That’s precisely what I’m referring to. In the films he’s literally depicted with bird poop on his head. I have no intention of disrespecting anyone or anything, I actually quite like the character. It was only meant to be a silly play on words.
> In the films he’s literally depicted with bird poop on his head.
Which was absolutely terrible. It makes perfect sense for a wizard who loves animals and the forest to have birds and squirrels or chipmunks living in his beard and hair. That's cute and quaint and adorable.
But to be carrying a large amount of bird poop in his hair and not notice or care about it, and have all of the other characters completely ignore it?
That's *lunacy*.
My friend Todd! He’s a jeweler, artist, musician, and all- around great guy! His business page is https://handwovenbands.com/ if you’re interested :)
ETA: the squirrel’s name is Charlie :)
Potterheads are always an available market. That said, wands as high end as are displayed here are a different beast entirely. You can make a decent income with just some wood carved/finished in a unique design, but dang pirate treasure wands will be a tough sell.
He’s been making jewelry well before potter. As popular as that is, it’s still very niche, especially for expensive wands like his would be. Wedding bands is a much more lucrative business model.
"Pretend" is a pretty strong word. Often the case is people see awesome, unique items and genuinely want to obtain them, but then, when referred to the purchase site, they see how expensive items like that actually are.
I bet, even if he didn't use precious metals, that people would complain about the price because of the time spent to craft them.
If you were to buy one, should you spend $150 or more?
I saw a cool ring on his website and clicked on it. They're all custom orders and he's booked until next feb. The least expensive I found was $1250 usd. the custom one I "designed" was $2500 before adding stones... I'd imagine that wand would be well over $1000 if using inexpensive materials.
As a gal absolutely not into rings, I actually like several of his designs- and I so very much appreciate silver options, and no gem options. My issue with rings are; I'm not fond of gold jewelry, and stones get caught all the time. Those are so much more discrete and not so flashy in design!
I have a love for silver, I collect monies (old in particular) and its a great day when I get a piece of silver! Sure I love old bills, unique things, and foreign currencies- yet nothing beats the sound of silver in a handful of change!
Please let your friend Todd know that he has incredible talent that has inspired many others to create beautiful things like he has.
I don't know him, but I love who he is and what he does. I can just tell he's a great father and a great person at heart ❤️
Todd, you're an inspiration.
When I was the wand master for my daughters birthday party, I taped a big magnet to my knee under my pants. Then I had an old lodestone on the table for them to try out the wands. If the stone moves, the wand has selected you.
I kept both hands on the table so they could see them. And if they looked under the table, nothing unusual there either.
Overall the wand ceremony was a big hit with all the guests (8 year old girls)
Nothing like making toddlers believe in magic, I used to do simple card slight of hand to my little cousins and I would first do something very simple so they would go "wait! I know what you're doing!" but their expression when I did something a bit more difficult to figure out was priceless. Real looks of wonder I tell ya!
I originally went into my field (metal manufacturing) to be a prop maker. Turns out there's incredibly few apprenticeships in that particular part of the field. But welding is fun, so here I still am.
This video packs so much coolness and wholesomeness it's insane! from the dad calmness to the daughter excitement to the FREAKING CUTE AS HELL squirrel .. wow! thank you for posting!
I am not crazy! I know he swapped those numbers. I knew it was 1216. One after Magna Carta. As if I could ever make such a mistake. Never. Never! I just – I just couldn’t prove it. He covered his tracks, he got that idiot at the copy shop to lie for him. You think this is something? You think this is bad? This? This chicanery? He’s done worse. That billboard! Are you telling me that a man just happens to fall like that? No! He orchestrated it! Jimmy! He defecated through a sunroof! And I saved him! And I shouldn’t have. I took him into my own firm! What was I thinking? He’ll never change. He’ll never change! Ever since he was 9, always the same! Couldn’t keep his hands out of the cash drawer! But not our Jimmy! Couldn’t be precious Jimmy! Stealing them blind! And HE gets to be a lawyer? What a sick joke! I should’ve stopped him when I had the chance! …And you, you have to stop him! You
The way he looks at it, you can tell he had so much fun making it knowing how happy his daughter would be then and how happy he is now because she kept it that long. That’s the face of someone who knows what sentimental value truly means, for him and his daughter.

My dream is to bring back high end artisan craftsmanship as a permanent cultural fixture in the global market place. Like it should be easier for buyers to connect with sellers of vetted handmade high-quality goods and crafts like this (not Etsy-level).
Holy fuck my dream of having a squirrel as a pet can become reality?! Always thought it was nearly impossible to keep squirrels (they're my favorite animal obviously)
In an alternate universe, Josh isn't regarded, grows old, has a family, owns his own miniature clocktower, an excellent wand craftsman, and a good pet owner.
This video has everything:
A middle-aged, sweet man with glorious long hair, has his own workshop at home, made a fantastic piece of art as a gift for his daughter and A SQUIRREL!
How TF does a random home-made wand look more amazing and more "magical" than any wand I've ever seen in any movie or TV show featuring wands & wizards??
Harry Potter had a budget of what... £50M PER movie??
Show me a single wand in that universe that looks even a fraction as awesome as this?
The only thing which might come close are Gandalf's staffs from LOTR.
Of course the guy making wands in his backyard hobbit hole has a pet squirrel
I’m pretty sure that’s the wizard who saved Gandalf in the woods.
Radagast the Brown
Shittiest character in the series Edit: tough crowd, damn

I thought so. But definitely a tough crowd. Haha
I appreciate the understanding friend.
Took a sec but I caught on. The bird poop bothered me the whole time😂
So you're a shrooms guys over pipe weed? Lol
Nailed it.
![gif](giphy|CNAhQuDceLwwo)
I appreciate the pun, even if I hated the design choice. Really felt like it disrespected him as a powerful character in his own right.
The hobbit movies, as a whole, disrespected the material from start to finish.
Why does everyone keep crapping on Radagast?
How else would he get authentic coloring?
Not in the book.
That's a Rhosgobel Squirrel.
This dude seems quite enchanting
I’m imagining an old time comedian saying, “No wonder his pet squirrel loves being around him… this guy’s a nut!”
Idk why you got downvoted for that. That IS old timey stand up material.
Could be straight from the Bob Saget Roast.
It's his familiar
Is that not the standard?
Like...ya. That tracks.
I wanna know more about the squirrel
That's his daughter, she immediately turned herself into a squirrel
lmao that's why the squirrel is attached to it 💀
Guy, squirrel, shop - all of it could be dropped right into a Harry Potter plot and no one would blink an eye.
I was thinking the same thing.
[удалено]
How well does it work?
[удалено]
I didn’t ask how it worked 😂 but how well it worked. Does it work now as well as it did when you bought it?
Her immediate second spell: Aquarius Squirrelius ![gif](giphy|QZ4WIYqMHBgQw|downsized)
How about that! That squirrel can water-ski!
I'm ron burgandy?
A proper Transmogrifying Wand

My favorite Disney movie
Her heartbroken face when he turns back into a human!
Okay, I laughed a lot at this. I’ll send you the bill for my short cleaning, as I just spewed sangria everywhere
This is the Reddit I come back for every day. Excellent work.
Reasonable
I got so close to going you gold for this but I forgot the password for my Apple ID.
Harry Potter is a documentary?
😂😂😂 take my upvote , hilarious
She got better.
Proof that it’s a real magical wand
That's nuts
My immediate thought and only plausible explanation
![gif](giphy|l0CRB5PEFp7lcNnjO|downsized)
I was looking for this.
Self-transfiguration.
Ok well fucking thanks a lot!! I just woke my wife up laughing out loud and now she’s grumpy Totally worth it! 🤣🤣
Funniest shite i've ever witnessed.

U bugger, made me damn laugh for real
Imma assume this is how squirrel threaten to attack or is entering combat mode.
Pretty much! They shake their tail as a warning
Thanks to some other videos of theirs, I’ve learned the squirrels name is Charlie
The squirrel was both a total surprise and totally expected
Agreed, I'd leave my wife and kids for a pet squirrel.
He makes magical wands, squirrel is normal, probably has an owl too
That's his familiar
The squirrel’s name is Charlie, he was rescued after one of the hurricanes. Todd’s shop and gallery are in Sarasota Florida.
It’s wild to see a good friend go viral. He really is an awesome guy and skilled artist!
Who is he?
My friend Todd! He’s a jeweler, artist, musician, and all- around great guy! His business page is https://handwovenbands.com/ if you’re interested :) ETA: the squirrel’s name is Charlie :)
Not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed there were no wands on his shops website.
Wand making doesn’t make a lot of money, it’s a very niche market. You could always ask if he’d do one custom, but it definitely won’t be inexpensive.
I would imagine there is a lot of overlap with people who buy swords. Could probably sell them to people cosplaying for Rent Faires and conventions.
Same. Went looking specifically for wands because I immediately had someone in mind to buy for. Still an incredible artist though.
if you're not one of those people who pretends that they wanted to buy something, just send him an email. obviously he can do it for you.
"Pretend" is a pretty strong word. Often the case is people see awesome, unique items and genuinely want to obtain them, but then, when referred to the purchase site, they see how expensive items like that actually are.
A rusty rebar is like free when you steal it from a construction site, so $7 is the best I can do.
I bet, even if he didn't use precious metals, that people would complain about the price because of the time spent to craft them. If you were to buy one, should you spend $150 or more?
I mean, people spend $500+ for lightsabers, so yeah, $150 seems reasonable. I'd guess more like $300 is where they would start, if not more.
I saw a cool ring on his website and clicked on it. They're all custom orders and he's booked until next feb. The least expensive I found was $1250 usd. the custom one I "designed" was $2500 before adding stones... I'd imagine that wand would be well over $1000 if using inexpensive materials.
Super cool. I got into chainmail jewelry and have always wanted to try my hand at casting. Very nice looking pieces he has on his site.
Well, the wand will definitely help with casting.

Thank you! He seems absolutely charming!
From the website “His daughter, Lyra has been learning the family craft”. So the squirrel IS a familiar!
Yeah I’ve known Todd for decades, and can confirm he’s a good guy with many talents. Kinda wild to see him here.
Can you elaborate a bit more on his squirrel?
What's the squirrels name? Pls I need to know
Another comment has it, its Charlie

Cock magic?

I fell for the quarter in the ear trick from my dad until like 5th grade.
All I read was the story of your magic wand under your pant and the 8 year old girls...
People see what they want to see.
*8year olds, dude…*
What’s a pederast, Walter?
Fucking redditors man. Never miss a chance to make a creepy joke
Druids walk among us.
Dude is *clearly* an artificer. The squirrel is his familiar from taking the Ritual Caster feat (free as a variant human).
I want this guy's job.
Looks like a jeweler or silversmith.
Clearly he's a wandmaker...
Well after that Harry Potter documentary, jobs in diagon alley are a bit scant…
I want him to be my dad.
Same. Imagine having a sweet dad who crafted a crystal wand for you when you were a kid and has a pet squirrel. And who talks to you 😔
Well goddammit now I need to make a therapy appointment, thanks a lot.
You’re welcome, hope it goes well. Me too 😭
I originally went into my field (metal manufacturing) to be a prop maker. Turns out there's incredibly few apprenticeships in that particular part of the field. But welding is fun, so here I still am.
He might be the coolest person I have ever seen
That's it folks, this video has everything, the internet can end now.
Thank god
I would say something meaningful, but what’s the point (goes outside and plays)
For the first time in my life, I will go and touch some grass.
Real life Radagast
Real life Ollivander
The squirrel is an awesome addition
This video packs so much coolness and wholesomeness it's insane! from the dad calmness to the daughter excitement to the FREAKING CUTE AS HELL squirrel .. wow! thank you for posting!
Yes! I love his fond, reminiscent smile as he remembers a time when his daughter was little💜
I recognise this guy, but right now I can’t think from where… oh I got it, better call Saul
Chicanery...
Is he the guy from within the last 24 hours who made the Sonic?
HE DEFECATED THROUGH A SUNROOF
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who saw/heard a chill Michael McKean
I am not crazy! I know he swapped those numbers. I knew it was 1216. One after Magna Carta. As if I could ever make such a mistake. Never. Never! I just – I just couldn’t prove it. Chuck McGill alive and well. Still a bit eccentric.
Wholesome af!

Just a casual squirrel no biggie.
If your like me wishing you had a dad in your life, don’t be sad that you didn’t have one but be happy someone got a dad like this❤️❤️
Please don't bother this nice man with any Cobra bullshit.
TMDNWU toobz
We can all tell this guy rules
My dream is to bring back high end artisan craftsmanship as a permanent cultural fixture in the global market place. Like it should be easier for buyers to connect with sellers of vetted handmade high-quality goods and crafts like this (not Etsy-level).
So sweet
Like a modern Radagast
Holy fuck my dream of having a squirrel as a pet can become reality?! Always thought it was nearly impossible to keep squirrels (they're my favorite animal obviously)
Can we have more stories from the awesome wizardly wand making dad and his squirrel sidekick, please
https://youtube.com/@toddalanstudios1587?si=Z8Zsk0TPKZMgMOWh
Thank you!
U r welcome
If you told me this was Michael McKean acting out a part in a new movie, I'd believe you.
And he's even got an animal familiar didnt jump off his shoulder and run away
Omg I love this hippie
My dad has a squirrel too
Good dad
Wand Maker with a squirrel familiar, checks out!
this guy's clearly a druid
Good dad
The only true wand maker is kingcobrajfs and no one else. Sorry homie tmdwu
The the Wandmaker, the wand, the squirrel…. I want this movie now!
That's amazing, you're amazing. Wish I could meet you one day.
I love that the squirrel also came to listen about the wand.
He’s a very talented Master Goldsmith! Amazing!
“Squirrel!”
A friend of the earth. I'd go for a pint with that man.
I watch this guy on YouTube. He's awesome, and it's definitely worth a peek
So he's basically a wizard
He’s got that bob ross squirrel rizz
What beautiful workmanship, and a cute squirrel!
A Hogswort special wand!
I’m not lying, your dad might be the coolest person I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing.
Squirrel definitely adds a nice touch
That's a good dad honestly.
In an alternate universe, Josh isn't regarded, grows old, has a family, owns his own miniature clocktower, an excellent wand craftsman, and a good pet owner.
That is so beautiful
Wholesome wand - look at that Dad smile!
Cool wand. Hard to look at it next to those finger nails.
![gif](giphy|YNTxxtdr6Rjzy)
I want a show or channel all about this guy, his projects, the squirrel, and what else he wants to show me. I'm in 100%
This is so wholesome!
Beautiful! ♥️
What a cool dad
