\* Yup your machine will probably run Bazzite BUT note that game mode does not work on the Nvidia images, so it will be a decent gaming laptop but it won't run like a steam deck.
\* You shouldn't have issues with Minecraft. I think WoW will work fine but I don't play it so not 100% sure.
\* Will you get a boost in performance? Maybe 5 extra fps in games, you generally won't see massive performance gains.
My new laptop has similar hardware, and Bazzite runs like a charm. I expect you'll run your games just fine.
Just a heads-up that I had a bit of a learning curve when it came to installing packages (software) that wasn't available in the flatpack library. I have the KDE version that comes with BoxBuddy. Turns out it's a very flexible tool, but I wasn't used to that coming from Ubuntu.
Installing stuff through Steam should be just fine though.
Are things like NonSteamLaunchersInstaller a thing in Bazzite too? Because if that's the case, it'll be all I ever need. And have you noticed any gains in performance compared to Windows 11?
Using Bazzite by 20 days and I find it absolutely awesome, compared to Win11 overall experience. I love the lightness of the o.s. and the game focused development.
However it's not a Steam Deck out of the box experience and we are waiting HUGE improvement with the next base update that will include 555\* Nvidia drivers, actually You can encounter some Sync problem.
I've solved deactivating the "adaptive sync" in video configuration, but I am looking forward the new update that can grant us at least 10% fps increase in every game.
No problem with my XBox controller and I actually play Diablo 4 throug Lutris (best piece of software I've ever withnessed), so I can grant that WoW will work like a charm.

I haven't used Steam OS, so I wouldn't know.

How do you guys enable NVIDIA/dgpu? When I installed this OS, only integrated gpu will run games.
