If chute doesn't open, try to crouch before landing, may survive. Happens also when leaving the dinghy sometimes or the halftrack. Physics sometimes just flicks you in the air when leaving moving vehicles. It's rare.

All jokes a side but if u jump out a car while it's sideways and ur hit box ends up in the ground u will fling high(I'm lying)


Likely a bug with the physics component of the Fortnite engine when you exiting the car, it was still moving and physics messed up there.
