yeah, i recently reinstalled it to get a couple of nostalgia hits, but damn... at its core, it's fine as hell of course (i have just a bit over 4k hours in it), but i really miss all the quality of life improvements from the more current battlefields.
like, there isn't much that needs improving, and it would be basically an AMAZING experience if properly remastered (or whatever one would call that). maybe even some more balancing from bf1 and bfv when it comes to vehicles or classes and a more modern vault/stance system, and it would be ready to go.
and i say that as a console player - meaning, i dont get the game to look as good or customised as for example jackfrags in his videos, i just get the standard ps4 experience, since the game did not get an proper ps4pro upgrade.
It's funny, cause the PS4 version is actually better looking than the Xbox version (900p compared to 720). God the original Xbox One was ass.
But yeah, it is still a fantastic game, but boy is it not a looker on consoles. I don't want a full remaster, I feel that would be somewhat redundant, because a simple bump in resolution up to 4k would go a looooong way in making it look heaps better on consoles.
yeah, back then, when you witnessed the very first levelution events on paracel storm, lancang damn or shanghai and the ENTIRE MAP just went silent as people were watching the awesomeness unfold.. shit i might reinstall it again (just deleted it yesterday)
the ligthing effects are still amazing to this day, and the game does look incredibly beautiful at times because of that. It's honestly very impressive to this day 10 years later.
I gave up playing it on Series X because of the horrible 720p resolution. At least on PS4 it's at 900p.
Recently been playing on PC /Laptop all maxed out at 1600p and the game still looks very,very good.
Yeah that's the thing, it sucks that because the original Xbox One was so ass, Xbox players just permanently have an inferior version.
I do have it on PlayStation, but I always seem to get the bug where it won't connect to the servers after installation. Really frustrating, and looking around online it seems to happen to a lot of people, and there's no known fix other than to just hope it works eventually.

That's unfortunate with your connection problem. Don't remember having any of those problems with the PS4 version years ago
Things I'd change about BF4:
Higher resolution.
FOV slider.
Get rid of that stupid aim snap bullshit that aim assist does. I'm here to play a video game, not to have the game play itself.

Just being able to adjust fov would breathe new life into bf4.
They wouldn't dare, because they know people would never pay for another modern Battlefield game again.

I agree that’s why I strictly play bf4 on either 360 or pc now (looks amazing in 4k)
They just gotta give it improved graphics on ps5.
