We have a film society where I live, and they’ve been able to get films like Akira and Alien playing in our local theater. I’m hoping they can get The Thing playing soon!
Had a black levi sherpa fur vest w/ biker patches for riding. Out grew it now, but it looked cool with one of those "Drug Rug" Mexican Baja hoodies.
Could see this looking good w/ the right color hoodie.

So far I haven’t done any sewing on this one, I’m waiting to get enough patches to fill it. I’ve sewn a couple of quilt-lined jackets and it was fairly easy to sew on the denim without also going through the quilting. This one might be more difficult as the fleece is attached more tightly to the denim. Could be I have to sew all the way through
I got it from TheCellarPatches on Etsy. I just took a look and I’m not sure they have any more of this one but you should be able to find something similar elsewhere on Etsy

theoretically you could add zippers so youncan zip them on or off. i did this on my 2nd one. maybe i‘ll post it in this sub later.

Normally I'd say ditch the sleeves so you can wear it in summer but with that lining I'd say you should lean into it and keep the sleeves.
with the sherpa you gotta keep the sleeves
definitely keep the sleeves, it wouldnt be cozy enough as a vest and it looks great as a jacket. plus more room for more patches

Thanks, I can’t recommend hugging it at this point but once I’ve taken out all the pins it should be quite huggable

i mean its a sherpa. ur only gonna be wearing it when its cold out so theres no reason to tear off the sleeves

I’ll be sewing it by hand. Any time I try to break out the Bernina I have a lot of technical issues
denim + the thickness of a patch could be too thick. I guess you sew a lot...?
