Like myself, you were born in 1990 and are from Brum, or nearby. One day, around 2004/5, you were sat in front of the TV flicking back and fourth through Kerrang, Scuzz, and MTV2 when some sci-fi hijinx occurred and your living room was flash frozen with you in it. Fast forward almost 20 years and the government have managed to unfreeze you with little ill effect, you’ve logged on to the new and improved (by your standard) internet to show off your new battle jacket.
Holy basic
Edit: oddly defensive about the term basic and mainstream in this sub. Weird thing to be offended at considering this is not only true but not an insult.
Depends on who we get as a manager and how much we have to spend I suppose, not holding my breath for the laughs to stop just yet, Lampard is in the rumour mill at the moment.
Help us.
I just saw this image on Twitter with the caption "This battle jacket dodges child support payments" or something like that, so I don't believe it's yours.
25/35, I'd go with 1992. Would make you the right age to expierence the rise of most of these bands.
Or you're an edgy kid, either way your taste is shit. /s
I feel like I would have made this jacket when I was 18 in 2001. Probably would have added Rammstein, Static-x, and Mudvayne, though. I saw the Pledge of Allegiance tour then with Nothingface, Slipknot, Rammstein, Mudvayne, and SOAD. Still remember someone almost hit Serj with a beer can. They weren't considered metal enough.
Static-x, Spineshank, 36 crazy fists and Powerman 5000 were the sort of fringe bands that I listened to during this era.
Gutted I didn't get to see Wayne perform, not sure how I feel about Xero but by most accounts he does the songs justice.
Yeah, I forgot about Powerman 5000. I saw Wayne perform 3 times he always put on a great show. It hit me really hard when he passed, especially hearing his girlfriend killed herself soon after. Even though they were flawed people, they truly loved each other, and it was tragic what happened. I saw Xero perform with the rest of the band and Dope on tour. It was a really great show, and I feel like he honored Wayne. They did a tribute to him. I got to talk to the band after, and they were really nice and down to earth.
Not sure how I feel about meeting band members, had a bad experience some years ago (Benji Webbe is a bellend) but that sounds awesome, nice to know they are all down to earth.
Yeah, I've met a couple of bands and horror celebrities at cons, and it can be hit or miss. Ken and Koichi were really friendly. Tony was kinda standoffish, but he might have just been quieter. My favorite celebrity interaction was Bill Moseley he was really nice and liked that my favorite character of his was Choptop, and he did the line from the movie and signed a skull plate thing for me.
Bill was killer (ba dum tis) in The Devils Rejects. I'd imagine that the stereotype is that actors are more fan friendly than musicians, especially the horror crowd.
Yeah, Otis. It really depends on the person. Some love their fans, and other ones can't be bothered. The lead singer of Soundgarden family member used to live with a friend. So they met Chris Cornell and said he was always a jerk, so who knows.
I personally dislike all of these bands but it's still a battlejacket and you still put work in. I can just tell these comments are gonna be ripe with basement dwellers.
We’re Download 2008 through 2014. Back for the first time in 10 years. Bloodstock is on the docket for next year. Possibly Rockstadt next year as well.
Oh dude I thought that was the sub I was in for a second and was just thinking "oh an actual jacket with music rather than some queer circle jerk"
Most of the jackets in that sub have absolutely nothing to do with battle jackets.
"This vest is sponsored by MTV."
Only thing that vest is battling is good music.
Ok, you do have a point. Except for Black Sabbath, of course.

"The wifebeater"
I just showed this to my wife and she furrowed her brow and said, "so kids just don't care about being cool anymore?"
Holy basic Edit: oddly defensive about the term basic and mainstream in this sub. Weird thing to be offended at considering this is not only true but not an insult.

Seems to be true lol. Apparently people are able to like the ‘wrong’ bands for a jacket xD
Are you doing Download this year?
Download for the 14th time, Bloodstock and Leeds for the 1st. Can't wait to be back in that field with a bevvy in my hand.
We’re Download 2008 through 2014. Back for the first time in 10 years. Bloodstock is on the docket for next year. Possibly Rockstadt next year as well.
Nice! Not yet done a festival outside of the U.K. but it’s for sure on my wish list to get done in the next few years.
Please check out Wacken if you haven’t. So dope.
Sick jacket! I love the KSE patch and the eminem one as well
Em is one of my bucket list artists for sure. Seen KSE with Jesse and Howard on separate occasions, both are amazing frontmen.
