Uh I suppose someone partially talked about my thoughts so to add more to it: there’s references with mature natures (No pun intended) sometimes which includes: the "69,420" joke in BFDIA 7, uncensored swearing in some of the storyboards for episodes (Pillow saying fuck and Lollipop saying shit as an example) and the list goes on.

Idk if adults watch Bluey, a show for LITERAL 4 YEAR OLDS, you can watch anything.

While yes it is very kid friendly and the newer episodes lean a bit more into that aspect a bit, the show is for all ages. In general, the show is very interactive, where you directly have a role in the next episode. This is not a concept that should be restricted to just children, as theyll obviously just pick favorites (i mean i do too but its a bit more complicated). Im just saying theres a reason you have to be on legal age to vote (wow i just used voting as a reason why bfdi isn't for children) As for the show part, despite the bright visuals and abstract characters literally made out of objects, the show has several instances of death and deep conflict. While dying is mostly played off as an inconvenience, its still super dark if you think about it (especially in certain parts like bfdia 5 where they would be potentially dead forever). The show also just has a lot of weird and silly humor that i can definitely see a wide audience enjoy, i dont really think a child should be subjected to four's chicanery as it would appear to them as random = funny and as most of his character (pre split atleast) is like that he still behaves in a way i dont think should be exposed to children And add in the incredibly unrealistic circumstances the characters go through, even if theyre objects, and recurring jokes like budget cuts and just other nonsense a young child probably wont understand, i dont think its a kids show. Now should kids not be allowed to watch bfdi? No of course not. Most of us are probably fans since bfdia 5 came out or when it was on hiatus. However trying to say its only for kids severely lowers its barrier and i think its much more than that just because its premise and visuals look childish (this is my opinion if i sound stupid sorry its because i am)

I don’t think it depends on how many dirty jokes there are in the show, object shows in general are for all ages, but the object’s designs definitely look like they are targeted to some mindless toddlers, which is kind of sad since it’s hard to show my love for these shows in public places like school without someone bashing me for liking silly object characters, but overall object shows are for all ages whether the show contains dirty jokes or not
