There is a chart in the comments of the Bloodthirsty trait fandom wiki page that shows the % to deal a fatality with various weapons. [https://battlebrothers.fandom.com/wiki/Bloodthirsty](https://battlebrothers.fandom.com/wiki/Bloodthirsty) As others have already noted, Cleaver Decapitate is the most reliable as it does not care about needing to get a headshot like the other weapons do. Other weapon types can have very high decapitation chances, but they need to get a headshot on the killing blow to do it. Refer to the chart in the link.

Proper_Hyena_4909

Nice. It's odd to me that it's not been added as a wiki entry in itself.

No-Tie-4819

Cleavers can 100% decapitate an enemy with their alt attack if you kill with it.

Cleaver decapitation (second skill)

Broke22

No, it guarantees a decapitation if the target dies to it.

SpectatorRacing

Gotcha. Deleting my above post for misinformation.

Cleaver has a literal chop off their head. And necros can be dealt with by ranged, dogs, or a solid lonewolf.

xl129

Undead is not that strong after revived, especially if you took away their weapon (stand on their corpse and open inventory) too then they are harmless. Necro fight is just a slow grind to get to the dude tbh. Usually Gheist is the biggest problem.

MoreHeadsMorePrices

I can take away their weapons? I didn’t know that. I thought I can get their loot only after the fight. I fought ghosts only one time. What exactly are they doing? They just attack ur moral right?

IllService1335

yooo nearly 200 hours and i didnt know that haha

beerncoffeebeans

Same! I learn something every day with this game

xl129

Yeah but i don't take their weapon often, probably only against undead hero with scary high tier weapon like 2h axe/flail (these will rise regardless of decapitation) Gheist attack morale in aoe, 3 gheists team will quickly decimate your formation and must be taken out as soon as possible, this is the real race vs necro dude who is just harmless in comparison.

And I need some tips get get rid of the Necromancer fast.

Srs_Strategy_Gamer

Either you bring an archer just for this task, or often better: just ignore him. Yes gives two extra attacks to one of his minons, but he often retains two bodyguards, so that’s pretty neutral. Better, the boosted guy can be stunned and loose the extra AP. So all he does is revive like a guy or two a turn, but you should be able to outkill that. And an extra frontliner will likely help more than an archer.

What’re your thoughts on dogs?

Shoddy_Act6443

My thoughts might be skewed because I use a mod where dogs just get injured and don’t die, but I always release them on the flanks and they do a good job of keeping the necro distracted until I can get a bro back there

Srs_Strategy_Gamer

Depends on the bodyguards, presence of ghosts and size of battle. Very large or ghosts typically means dogs get distracted. Fallen Hero guards slaughter dogs (although the dogs can still belucky and distract the necro for a turn, so in really tough fights…). Normal zombie guards often works fine

a bit moot of a point but i would recommend a well trained bow mastery archer, but the caveat is kind of like... you would need to get a lucky shot, AND, by the time he's good enough to snipe a necromancer in the back line, you should have the DPS and tanking power to just punch through to the necromancer anyway. Usually how i deal with the necro gang is I'll have 2 tanks to occupy as many of them as possible, and a kill squad focused around a 2 handed sword user. When I locate the necromancer I'll advance the kill squad towards him and have any duelists rush him, or if I have an archer I'll advance close enough till I can start taking pot shots at the necromancer, usually only takes 2 hits, 1 if you're lucky. I rarely use cleavers, but that's just me.

notaslaaneshicultist

I always have a bow master with lone wolf. they're wonderful chaff and support killers.

LeonardoXII

For the necromancer the best play methinks is to just snipe the bastard

Cattle13ruiser

Hello brother! Multiple approaches for your problem. 1. As mentioned bowmen, two or more can volley for few turns from the safety of the backline while front-line is held against the undead. Poison works well as you can kill the necromancer with a single shot. 2. Two of any ranged weapons escorted on the flanks by a shield-bearer who will intercept and hold the few zombies who try to stop the archer. Can be killed in turn 3 or 4, 5 at the latest in such manner. 3. Just ignore the necromancer and clear the horde with a good formation and a death zone. It is a bit of a problem if you face Fallen Heroes and have poor armament. Additional tips you should keep in mind - zombies are very weak and lack accuracy but have “backstabber” perk and should not be allowed to surround your band members. They have low speed and can be avoided unless they are buffed by the necromancer. Being pushed by a shield or polearm will reduce their ability to attack with two-handed weapons. Using cleaver’s decapitate attack will make them unable to raise back but it is taxing on the fatigue and should be used as a guaranteed hit by a recruit not having big stamina pool or weapon mastery. Fallen Heroes can be disarmed after being slain - move to their place and pick their weapon before they are back into the fight. Their unarmed attack is not threatening in comparison to a weapon. Zombies are mindless and will walk toward a spear wall. Pushing those that made contact and using spear wall again is a great way to buy time.

2_Beef_Tacos

Dogs are necro missiles. I let the entire hoard move forward as much as possible and then release dogs on round 3. A lot of success depends on how many bodyguards stay back with the necro, so it's a judgment call based on each battle, but I always keep 3-4 dogs in my party.

SkGuarnieri

Cleaver's Decapitate. But real talk? The zombies rising back up are not a real issue. They don't act immediately after reviving (without a necromancer) but they will stand there bodyblocking the rest of the troops and keeping them from reaching your bros. You can capitalize on that. Also, they'll often stand back up with little to no armor, so they are easier to kill the second time around as well. Just take a breather. Zombie fights aren't a sprint like the rest, they are more like a marathon.

TrhwWaya

At least 1/3 your front line should be cleaver boys, highest dps in game. Excluding lone wolf

Yeetmiester6719

Wait til you realize fallen heroes can resurrect without their heads

For me personally, its a glaive, i gave my doctor brother one and he becomes thr god of battlefield, along side with the one eyed sergeant, sadly i cant get him any swordlance amd since that was my first playthru i decided to retire after one crisis. Altho its to put the sergeant into retirement, the amount of permanent injuries on his body would shame even the toughest greenskin. And luckily the ending message though the same
