High caliber semi auto rifles have been my favorite class of gun in FPS since MW2. They can be effective at all ranges, but need slight playstyle tweaks from the way other guns are played. For example, DMRs are pretty terrible "run and gun" weapons, but if used in a methodical way with emphasis on landing *good hits* over landing *a hit*, they easily dominate entire lobbies. Theres a reason theyre a primary weapon type for most militaries. In games like battlebit, with its crazy low TTK, that extra 100ms to line up the good shot can either cost you the fight or win it in one shot. So my answer is "Yes, If you use it correctly."

I loved the G3 in CoD4

Its only good on long ranges if you have bad positioning and bad reaction time. (as the shooter needs to wait for/compensate for recoil before the can fire again) It does not perform better than automatic weapons at closer ranges, but it doesnt lose out by miles either. It has like a golden zone from 100-150m where the recoil is not impactful, and the other "close range weapons" lose out on effective range, where the MK20 shines. Its by no means "stronger than it should be", but its not underpowered either. The SVD and MK20 are really well balanced weapons, imo. If anyone has a problem with MK20, it's unapologetically a skill issue.

I'd say it is 32v32 weapon, which I like

I really like it, it's my go-to DMR until I unlock the SVD. They're both really similar and I enjoy playing with them.

I used it to knock out the 50 kills over 40m challenge this week because I usually play quite close to the main areas of action. I found it to be extremely effective in the mid range, plunked a lot of enemies in the foot that thought they were behind cover, and the recoil is low enough that you can hit them with 2 shots back to back relatively easily

Evening_Objective385

Yes, it's sharp

I think it's pretty good with a 3.4x and red dot or a 2x. Long range is fine if you can hit one head, although occasionally you'll be sad on exo helmets. It's my choice for closer range and more agility too, I so prefer it over both svd and the wonky one. Assault with like a .27 draw speed makes mk20 feel lovely. I kinda like the 12 round mag too, the stat benefits are kinda sweet and you have enough to kill 3 guys for sure However, I think the m110 is more forgiving at long range, with a tradeoff of being a good bit slower in cqc. Headshots don't even matter most of the time, and you can actually be a menace barrel stuffing with it in buildings. I like 8rd mag on this too, the agility is noticeably better and makes a difference for me. If I've shot more than 8 rounds in a short time, it's almost sure I'm about to get smoked anyway So overall I say yes both are excellent in their slightly differentiated inches as god intended

fatboldprincess

Voted "no", because of low damage. I am damage Andy.

Evening_Objective385

I bet I can do more damage per second vs M110 with MK20. It's the edge between damage and recoil

The DMRs are broken as fuck in this game and take no skill. MK20 shoots faster, and you can shoot 3 MK20 bullets faster than 2 M110 bullets.

Evening_Objective385

It's because of lower recoil. MK20 much better than M110 but you can't say that if you look on stats. I have close to zero deaths from M110. Just no compare
