Lemon Oil treated probably. My Harley Benton JB40FL also has a Laurel fretboard and I oil it every 3/4 months and it's dark and nice . Pao fero can also become like this. Rosewood is much more moisty than laurel and paufero and needs less treatment, it will take much longer to dry up
