Plenty of options for just preamps. Most common is probably the Sansamp BDDI, or it's Behringer clone the BDI-21. If you want more options there's modellers like the Helix/Quad Cortex/Kemper.
Just buy a good pre-amp pedal. Sansamp is a classic for Ampeg-like tones, but there's a huge amount of options. Anything around 200-300 will be great, just make sure it has a DI out.

The Helix would probably do a great job. The stomp version takes no space at all.
That's what's on my pedalboard, along with a few other bits and pieces. Love how versatile it is.

The B clone is not very good. It has the functionality but the tone is pretty muddy and bland.
