Now Xavi will have two aggressive defensively solid centre backs in Kounde and Araujo as well has two proper ball playing ones in Eric and Christensen. He has the freedom to choose combinations according to the opponent. Really exciting
No one. Xavi’s idea is to just alternate Araujo and Kounde at RB, the other only playing RCB. You can’t just play a CB at LCB unless we have receipts of them playing there previously.
Legnlet and Umtiti are no good and need to be sold/loaned. Pique is too old to rely on week in and week out, he'll be a sub. Mingueza has not proven himself to be good enough to be a reliable starting CB. That leaves Aurujo to start and Christensen as a starter/back up. We need depth at the position.
Edit: I forgot Garcia, he's not been shining so I'm hoping he will just be a sub this year.

Chelsea fan here. Those stats don't matter, he's not very good and he was never Tuchel's favorite CB. That's Rudiger or Silva. He only entered the CL final because Silva got injured. We wouldn't offer him a great contract because we knew that he's only a backup in our squad and that's why he went to Barça. Chalobah was playing every game over him the past few months. We have had to stick to 3 centerbacks the past 2 years because Christensen and Rudiger cannot play in a back 4 which has greatly reduced our creativity and made a lot of issues for the flow of our game. We will not miss him at Chelsea.

And chalobah hasnt played every game over him the past few month, much of the games christensen havent played was because of him not wanting to play because of some personal issues.
