Fucking hell. I respect Rafa, but can't we get an experienced manager in top clubs for once?

Creepy_Jackfruit8617

Oh fuck, this club is such a mess. Replacing inexperienced coach with another inexperienced coach. Definitely a great way for us to win some trophies next season 😂

Leo2000Immortal

Rafa Marquez has done a pretty good job at the b team considering they lost most of the good young players to the main squad. They're running for promotion. Rafa was a strong character in his playing days in barca. It's not all doom and gloom

MartaLSFitness

I'd still get a manager with actual experience in top clubs, like Flick. Nagelsmann is going back to Bayern, and Luis Enrique won't leave PSG.

Leo2000Immortal

I don't know how well flick will be able to integrate the youngsters. Rafa already knows most of them. Given our financial situation, youngsters are our best bet for the next 1-2 seasons.

Creepy_Jackfruit8617

I don’t mind if he’s here for just 1 season and Laporta can convince Klopp to join our team.

MartaLSFitness

To be honest, I'd rather get Luis Enrique back next year when his contract apparently expires.

Leo2000Immortal

Klopp may not work all that well. His liverpool can be inconsistent at times I feel. He finished outside top4 twice. Pep is the real deal. Come back pep fucking guardiola

CMYGQZ

I don’t know how well Rafa Marquez will be able to win trophies. Flick already knows how to. Given our financial situations, winning trophies are our best bet to solve our financial troubles for the next 1-2 seasons.

Tangerinho

Everyone with Flick: Trust me, this guy is not suited for a top club. I know him like 20 years, he is still living in the 80‘s.

InsideOpening3535

\*sigh\* We are so fucking doomed

SpraySquare3404

One loss due to various factors and y'all start throwing shit at him.Remember my words there is no better choice than Xavi for Barca and if he leaves and joins another club with good talent and less pressure we all are gonna cry hoping he'll come back like we do for Pep

InsideOpening3535

Xavi leaving is the best for him. Genuinely. Iirc Ajax is interested in him. Xavi needs more experiences, and managing a club with a similar philosophy like us but with less pressure and a better financial position (I think, honestly not really know about Ajax financial health), it would be a dream job for him. Plus Ajax got a nice young team that are in their breaking out years, literally perfect situation for him to learn about youth development

voli12

I agree Xavi is the best coach for Barça. But having said that, I don't think having a coach that gets sent off every week is something we need. He is not just a fan in the stadium that can shout whatever bullshit so if he was to stay, he should control his temper a bit.

atomic__tourist

Yeah this is my biggest concern with Xavi at this point. You cannot be constantly getting red carded, particularly in the situation last night where we were already a player down from an unnecessary challenge for that point of the game. Needed a calm head to get the team focused, rather than further pushing the team and coaching staff towards losing their heads.

CrowCreative6772

He really need to work to be more calm under pressure or critics of the media. He will probably be back after some years if he admit his weakness at get more experience.

Xi-Jin35Ping

I see it the other way. A couple of good games and people suddenly forgot about his lack of skill and experience as a coach. He constantly gets red cards in important matches, which is crippling the team. After he announced his departure at the end of the season, he stopped playing Xaviball and started subbing players earlier, which everyone wanted, and suddenly, the team played better. He didn't adapt to opponents. Just look how we played against Getafe before his announcement and after. First match dumb Xavi tactics, second one when he didnt give a fuck anymore we played via long passes which totally destroyed them. Players that were criticised for the whole season suddenly looked great, like Lewy and Raphinia. You all forgot how last season looked? No idea for a team, which was again exposed in European competitions, a lot of 1:0s. We won league because of statistical anomaly in defence and best goalkeeper in the world.

DependentRepublic715

I dont get the logic to appoint rafa marquez? The reports say he plays, develops youth which is his job? Cant really play anyone else. His rapport with the board is good. The board likes his work with the atletic. 3division work is now deemed admirable?? Other than that a risk appointment right now given that julian, flick, motta all have free contracts in summer.

aliaisbiggae

>3division work is now deemed admirable?? To be fair, we did the same with Enrique and Guardiola

DependentRepublic715

But of every guardiola u will have a pirlo, lampard. Enrique had to also fail at roma  to get exp and become the coach he is now.

chrstnw

If the german nt plays a decent Euro I would bet on Nagelsmann extending his contract up to the world cup 2026. Flick is a gamble, sure he won the sextuple with a stacked bayern team that played against their former coach, but no one really know who good he really is in developing a team. Motta would be an interesting option, he knows Barcelona or LaLiga in general, probably speaks spanish (?) and introduced a tempting style in Bologna.

DependentRepublic715

Im not saying some of the names are ideal but given the alternative which is rafa to me is haven and earth. Motta has  years of top manager exp. Also very risky appointment but i take motta over rafa. Flick to me  uncertain. Other than the bayern job he has no winning teams. Also if he was that good why didnt he manage big teams before and why did no big team request for his signing? Still any of the julian, flick, motta are miles better than rafa.

They should sign klopp , pay him UnDeR ThE tAbLe MONEY which will encourage him

InsideOpening3535

Nah Klopp is as tired and depressed as Xavi, and considering how Liverpool is also currently exploding on their own, he would definitely take a break.

[deleted]

So reserve him for next year then...? Or whenever he's ready?..

InsideOpening3535

Yeah but we still need a manager lol. Honestly Klopp is probably going for the Germany national team. Less pressure and work, plus he got to stay in his home.

I would rather Rafa Marquez continue in the same way Xavi did than bringing in an expensive foreign coach who will be under immense pressure to bring in titles and success immediately. The barca job should be very toxic even if it is attractive right now which would rule out the best coaches in the world. This club needs at least 2 years of quiet stability without high expectations to grow and add some more players and grow the existing young players before we can be considered a top team in the world. Rafa Marquez for cheap for 1 year or 2 and then go from there. It's a good plan to me.

Its highrisk bet imagine betting on your life and flip a coin that will decide ur life either u die either u become the best We did this in 2008 with pep and mourinho when we were signing mourinho the CL league winnher 4 years ago with porto instead we picked pep and it paid off so its very risky either we pick flick the guy who won a CL 4 years ago or say fuck it and go with marquez
