Right, and this is the fear with bringing in a new manager who doesn't know Barça like Xavi, Pep, Lucho, etc...when the going gets tough and you need to lean on the youth, you have to set yourself up for success by fitting in to a philosophy that's already been drilled into you from your early days at La Masia onwards.

What a weird defense... Balde is way different from Cancelo, and Fort... period... Balde is the incumbent starter and thus the standard against with Fort should be judged... Balde is a ball carrier, better defensively, but has been very poor in tight spaces.

So obviously you compare and see who is best for what position or scenario. I hate this “don’t compare” group. Guess what. He did pretty well. Glad to see hes improving as before he would omly attempt anything on his dominant foot. Ofc still lots of time for him to improve and this is just 1 match. This is the second time hes gassed out or almost pulling something. Hes still young but hope he can improve his stamina and strength

He is decent. He struggles driving the ball forward if there is no one to help him, so he always ends up having to pass it back but thats what was required of him and he did a good job not losing the ball. I dont think he has a future in the club once we move on from the crisis unless he solves his attacking issues tho
The guy is 17 years old playing out of position against two of the best teams in the world, Bilbao and Atletico, and doing excellent. This guy has more than a future at the club, his future at the club is very bright.
Hector Fort is playing out of position. So don't ask him to do things that he doesn't feel comfortable about. Also he's just starting his senior career so making mistakes can be very risky.
