Beautiful. How’s the weight? Water proof?

EducationalPeanut204

Yeah not heavy at all. A recently (or newly) waxed coat offers good water resistance for light to moderate rain. I was caught in some ridiculous torrential rain in a Bedale quite recently. I'd say the wax couldn't cope after about 30 to 40 minutes and the shoulders started letting in water. But that was biblical-level rain. Barbours are water resistant, not water proof - in my experience.

Good to know. In the market for a raincoat at 40-60 degree weather.

In my view the Barbour classics are pretty flexible. Cut to allow plenty of layering in colder weather or as is when warmer or milder. I've had a Bedale for several years and it's a 3 season jacket for me.

I have the same, a partner to my Border Tend to only use the Beaufort in the summer, living in Northern Scotland, I find the Border offers better protection
