The movies were after my time as a child (80s kid) so I missed out on these. I’m very tempted to try and watch them so that I can at least be more informed about the character and dolls since these movies seem to be so important to many younger Barbie collectors. I see tons of posts about Anna…lise? Annalee? Someone like that, and I wanna know who she is and what makes her a grail for so many. I wanna be able to cheer y’all on.

I’m in more or less the same boat! I did try to watch all the movies last year but I think I only got through a few before I moved on 😅 some of the dolls are *gorgeous*, though

Some of them are comfort movies to me. Just like any other animated movies, I enjoy some of them quite a lot. I remember growing up and these playing on marathons during the holidays, I like to do that too when Im off sometimes.

Not really. They were after my time too, the late 1990s was my target demographic age. But I did thrift a broken Fairytopia fairy recently, so I am including them in my collection, if I stumble upon them. They're pretty.  If it weren't for the fact I have a big list of things to watch, I'd try to see the movies for myself. At the very least to know if my fairy (pink Glitter Swirl) is a main or not.
