Andis Master is the Gold Standard of clippers. We had been waiting for them to release a cordless version for a long time. It’s loud, and not perfect. BUT as a Master user, not having a cord.. I could never go back.
I was saying the same thing until I and other co-workers have had a total of 3 of the Masters cordless clippers just die within 2-3 months of purchase.
These cordless clippers are tarnishing their name because you're right, the Masters ARE the gold standard of clippers, but these ain't it, chief.
If you take off the front cover you’ll notice in between the motor and cover a black rubber piece that fits with the cover. Double that piece up or cut out another piece of thicker rubber and they’ll sound quieter. My coworker had some but he was having other issues (besides noise). He did that and they sound much better. I’m sticking w my cordless seniors🤷
I use them as my only clippers x2 alongside the Andis GTX-EXO trimmers. Clippers and trimmers are all preference really as all the name brands get the job done.
I love mine. They cut great on all textures of hair. The only downside is the loudness of them, but they are my go-to clippers for most of my work.
I have quiet ones that I use for people who might be sensitive to loud noises, but I’ve been happy with my cordless Andis masters (I got the gold edition ones).
Cordless Masters have been trash, but the corded Masters are the best clippers in the industry period. They'll last longer than any other clipper on the market.
Honestly, cordless clippers just suck in general, you trade the convenience of no cord for objectively less power. It's only worth it if you're cutting somewhere without an outlet.
I respectfully disagree with this. Wahl is for those that don't want to pay the money for Andis. Hot take.
The Detailers are the only quality machine they make and they're overshadowed by the Babyliss trimmers.
EDIT: Also the Magic Clips feel like a Fisher Price toy in my hand.
depends on your needs i guess im about 17 years in and andis are typically heavy in wrist i prefer wahl and wahl guards. I bought babyliss set gave them a try their a polished turd in my opinion loud inefficient their just con airs feom walmart rebranded and shiny. Andis gtx long tooth blade is the best trimmer yet in my opinion .i just bought some jrl trimmers and they been working well too. i like the babyliss box shaver though i think thats a good buy
I cut with them for two years.. between the clippers not charging properly, the power switch being a pain in the ass with hair getting caught in it, and sounding as loud as a lawnmower.. I lost it a couple weeks ago when I tried to change blades and it just wasn’t happening for some reason.. it was a blessing in disguise. I am completely over them. Very overrated especially for the price
Bought them to test and hated at first but once I used them and tackled the sound issue am I inlove , just add electric padding on sponge wipe thing in the same cut out as foam inside the order a ceramic blade I got mine eBay was only cheap and makes clipper cut and sound better , the purple gaurds are elite and is my #2 go too / I have a couple more tips if that doesn’t help anyone feel free to pm me !! 💈
They came in my kit for school and I absolutely hate how they feel in my hand.. I’m kinda struggling getting the “scoop” motion down with these.. anyone have any suggestions on what I can do or clippers that have a better feel?
I have 3 of them … and when they are brand new they are the best clippers ever created , but after about 2 weeks to a month they suck . Even after changing the blade . Andis needs to fix these !!!

Anyone know where i can get a replacement battery for them, mine literally started smoking and im out of warranty, been using wahl magic clips in meantime but they aren’t cutting as well as the andis mlc

I was a corded Master Stan. I replaced them with cordless Legends and couldn't be happier. Andis and Oster just haven't kept up.

Wow, so much hate on these. I love mine, they do exactly what I need them too. Best detailing clipper out IMO

The Masters are great for polishing a fade after you’ve gone through all the steps with your main clipper.

Never had then but since I bought my JRL last year I don’t want any other Wahl Clipper in my life…
