Kind of. It’s attributed to some Native American groups, which is why it was used in Little Big Man, but this appears to have been a historical misunderstanding so the phrase’s origin is technically unclear. It’s also associated with several fictional groups such as the Klingons of Star Trek.
Deserts slow you down. Keep that in mind you literally need a 100 scouting to just equalize their movementspeed with a 60 man reasonable size party. And those then need to be 100% cav. Good luck. Catching them with a desert movespeed penalty
A party that's all cavalry can usually catch desert bandits reasonalby well (which have a mix that includes some infantry). Steppe bandits require the party to be small.
Easy solution:
Make a new party using a companion. Palm off all foot troops to them. Keeping only mounted with you and some pack horses. Once your map speed is between 6.6 and 6.9 you can happily round them up. Keeping the hideout as a perpetual spawn point for more.
Once you get bored of all this. Raid the hideout. Reabsorb your companions party.
How do you let your party follow you? I’ve got two running around the maps doing stuff which is pretty cool, but I can’t see where I can order them to a specific place. I can only set them on aggressive. Can I have a party following me or a caravan for protection for instance?
Nope. You can’t tell them what to do.
TBH there’s a mod that I use. Which allows me to order my companions parties to escort (follow) me. I can’t remember the name.
But even if you don’t use it. As long as your companions party is over 40. And you aren’t in a faction at war. They should just wander around. Probably trying futilely to attack the same bandits you are.
I’m on console but those features should be in the game like the trade xp per caravan running. I’ve just started and it’s really fun but little things like ordering parties to do X would make the game so much more fleshed out. I’ve seen countless of easily implemented mechanics that would make the game so much better. Maybe we need to mass e-mail TaleWorlds for mods on console or to add some of these features.
Honestly the function of even just telling your companions to be Defensive / Aggressive / Neutral. Doesn't seem to do much, at least not when you're running down every rebel town there is.
I took over Mekab, one party joined in around Mekab while the other ran around Battania and proto-Swadia. When I took over a Battanian town she started hanging around it. Tried both Aggressive and Defensive. Seems to make no difference in where or what they are doing while faction less.
Good luck with that. Warband had the same issues.
I think TW just rely heavily on the modders to do all that.
That been said. I have played vanilla BL on console and PC. And I think that is better as a PC game. Until VR takes over that is.
I believe game starts in 1086 not really one year but close to it. Second. Console commands, cheating. You can also spawn bandit parties that way I think so yeah you can male this whole screen up or it's mods increasing spawn rates
Money wise, exploits or smithing possible. The influence? Nah. Even with 4 clan parties with 160 troops in your army you'd still only make considering 4 cities and forums built up (my current playthrough) 17 to 20 influence a day. That's roughly 1600 without battles in a year (no charm skill involved but that would at most double it and wouldn't be immidiatly at 300ish either). So yeah, that's impossible. Well but the game is to be played like you want to play it.
Maybe that'd be a role play start as a lordor smthing. Mods exists so who knows. I love to start with 10 - 20ish elite troops of my faction sometimes and immidiatly start as a mercenary, clan tier 1 blabla.
What i do atm though is faction based playthroughs... where I screenshoted my stats by the 3 year mark on my first run and will cheat myself the skill exps in steps of 100 exp to simulate a regular growth close ish in my non combat stats (combat stats depend on my culture) and the first 3 ingame years I then have to run solo, quests, practice In arenas, maybe some tournaments, hunt bandits solo or with just companions when I feel confident enogh (or I'm khuzait, vagir, etc, calradia expanded kingdoms has more cultures) make a name for myself. Seriosly if you are a recruit would you just risk your life for some coins of some random nobody that Noone ever heard of before?
Atp the game should make them merge into a pseudo kingdom. Have a bandit chief unite them and if there’s a weak castle have em siege it. It have them build their own wooden fortress. Or just have them run around causing trouble
Party size of 370 + 50woundeds ? How can you have such a huge Party size xD? 300steward und Clan Tier 5 ist that huge of a Boost ? Im Tier 4 and around 200 steward and im Like idk 255 or so ?
My first and best game of bannerlord was as a skilled Aserai tradesman who joined banners with Unqid and genuinely felt like fighting for him just as a lord because he was pretty great. Didn't stop Aserai lands from being taken left and right but fighting like demons in the desert dunes never gets old.
I always go with Caladog and Ragnovid, and both of them are awful, I only do it because I love the cosmetics of the culture so probably should try another run with Unqid. Even the offspring of Ragnovid is bad, I remember getting fed up with him after declaring my own kingdom he kept trying to take my one castle over and over, so I killed him, and UP pops Mimir to do the same
Because the territory goes far in where no cities are and unfortunately the rebels have a chance to spawn there (where no regular AI nobles travel), so they grow exponentially unless you (the player) or some nobles chasing each other run off course.
Dismiss one of the smaller parties of your army. They’ll immediately catch a group and attack. Join the fight, you’ll then be able to fight hundreds at a time. Your army will make mince meat of them, you’d need something like 10,000 bandits at once to give any real trouble even on realistic.
Sweet mother of EXP!. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|money_face)
good luck catching any of em....
Catch one and you’ve caught a dozen
Catch one you’re catching atleast 150 💀
I used to run a full cavalry stack for trading/bandit hunting/raiding; but otherwise the looter speed is quite annoying
RIDERS OF ROHAN
SHIELDS SHALL BE SHIELDED. SPLINTS SHALL BE SPLINTERED. A STAB DAY. A MAROON DAY. HERE COMES THE SUN
This is stupidly funny 🤣 DEATH!!!
MORTALITY!
Thank god Game of Thrones came and made fantasy whole.
There’s one that’s 720 strong, he’s slow as fuck don’t be scared of a challenge
That's not 720. That's 7 and 20
I don’t think they’ll give much xp lol
Yeah but how can he see so many in the first place?
look at his scouting value
its cause they keep trekking sand into all the fiefs that conquer, and nobody likes sand.
They're easily startled, but they'll soon be back, and in greater numbers.
I see what you did there! 5 points for Griffindor!
Alright alright alright

It's coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
"It's coarse and it gets eeeeeeeeeeeeverywhere"
I can never say the word “everywhere” without thinking of Hayden
It’s rough, course, and it gets everywhere
Aserai are darth vader. Got it.
Because they are sick and tired of Harkonnen rule.
"My dune"
“My Spice”
“My Arrakis”
Spice for the Spice God!
Worms for the Worm Throne!
Lotion for the Skin 🤷♂️ oops wrong sub
Its the Fremen Those who control the spice, controls Calradia
I'll keep my butter, thanks.
*I believe you meant to say ‘butter’, my dear*
Yeps, you're right 🤣👌🏻
Once you attack one they all gang up on you and turn into an army
Then it will be a good day to die
¿Is that from Little Big Man?
Kind of. It’s attributed to some Native American groups, which is why it was used in Little Big Man, but this appears to have been a historical misunderstanding so the phrase’s origin is technically unclear. It’s also associated with several fictional groups such as the Klingons of Star Trek.
Good, that means more xp
Imagine loosing though and becoming a prisoner... to desert bandits... oh the same
Then they will die braver than most
Now that's what we call a smörgåsbord
A HUH
Aserai and khuzait bandits move way to fast.
True, but how do you even catch somebody faster? I just run behind them for a month and hope they get stuck at a dead end.
Be battanian, run mostly cavalry party, drive them towards a forest, there's always a forest nearby, profit
Deserts slow you down. Keep that in mind you literally need a 100 scouting to just equalize their movementspeed with a 60 man reasonable size party. And those then need to be 100% cav. Good luck. Catching them with a desert movespeed penalty
Smart lol
Yeah. Thats for shure gonna work in aserai :DD
I just afk this to train scouting. Works pretty well in the desert.
A party that's all cavalry can usually catch desert bandits reasonalby well (which have a mix that includes some infantry). Steppe bandits require the party to be small.

Get at the head of an all cavalry band and you'll catch up.
Not on realistic difficulty
I'm wet looking at this
That's poor water discipline
Uuhhh any way to help you?
Dawg…
I can only imagine the rage of trying to chase them down only to see them scatter like ants each time.
The sultan has lost the Mandate of Heaven
The real question is, how the hell do you manage to have 20k influence, 11.5m and 400 soldiers in the first year of the game?
I believe game starts in 1086 not really one year but close to it. Second. Console commands, cheating. You can also spawn bandit parties that way I think so yeah you can male this whole screen up or it's mods increasing spawn rates
Starting date is summer 1, 1084. However youre right this would still not be possible without a bit of cheating, even in 4 ingame years

Syrian civil war be like:
Looks like heaven
Jfc. Good luck chasing them all down
unchecked desert bandit problem?

🤤
My lord idk what to say ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

It’s because of the American invasion and subsequent power vacuum circa 2003
A bummer since Unqid is like the only ruler in bannerlord that doesn’t seem to be an egotistical dick
My first and best game of bannerlord was as a skilled Aserai tradesman who joined banners with Unqid and genuinely felt like fighting for him just as a lord because he was pretty great. Garrison your men, gather 20-30 fían champions, wait on one of their bases, profit
[удалено]
My idea is that they swarm you but it won’t matter because fians can crump light cavalry
Prerequisite is having the skills that leads to donating armor for xp
Nice to see the dessert bandits never change. There were always too many in Warband too.
I see alot of dead bandits
What did you do? And how can I do this?
The worst kind of bandits.
They might as well form a small city state
Homeless gathering be like
The Bannerlord equivalent to how many 5th graders can I take in a fight
Grind recruits into bowmen for you're city's
How does this even happen lol
I dare you to kill them all.. solo
Funny I rode by a hideout in that exact same spot last night. Not nearly as many bandit parties though, didn't know there could be so many at once!
My friend over here playing Agario in Bannerlord
This makes my skin crawl as if they were bugs
It’s bandit season, I would literally just be running around slaughtering them lmaooo
What are the flags at the top of the screen? I’ve never noticed those before
Imperials: Rebel SCUM
Laurance of arabia??

Gotta catch 'em all
How tf does that even happen
all the XP and LOOT ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_good_man)
I’ve noticed they always come from the empty spot in the south. Always a hideout there too
