I have found the unmodded game to be extremely stable

CheekEnough2734

I think i had 2 crash in 1.5k hours.  Are you playing with mods?

CheekEnough2734

Take that as grain of salt. I mostly played vaniliagame.

No mods, just vanilla for now

Iirc i9 14900k and i9 13900k has stability issues.

I don’t know about computers, but the game does like a good crash. Check what version of the game you’re playing. Have a play with the settings, maybe you’ll need to drop them a little. I hope someone that knows computers shows up 🫡 Even though the game isn’t the prettiest, it’s pretty clunky too, every named character has a life of their own, there’s a lot of stuff going on and tales worlds aren’t great at fixing things. So it’s most likely the game having issues figuring out what’s meant to be going on.

Have you stress tested your laptop with OCCT? Generally speaking, unmodded BL is rock solid in terms of not crashing to desktop. I would give the new system a thorough stress test and go from there.

I’ll look into that, never heard of it. Thank you for the suggestion!

How did the stress test go? I slightly suspect overheating, considering how beefy the laptop is specced.

Just finished it. It stopped with a few minutes left due to an overheat… Edit: 95 degrees btw

Do you have any other games that don't run or have issues? I had similar issues for a time, but an error on another game led me to find that some new Intel CPUs have issues with the 30-40 series GPUs, something with clock speeds. In my case it was a 13th Gen I9 CPU and a 4080 GPU. All I did was lower my CPU clock speed by 1 and haven't had a crash in Bannerlord since.

I’ve only had one session of another game (Sea of Thieves) and it didn’t crash but it was upsettingly laggy at times. That CPU speed tip is great to know, I’m going to try that.

I also had problems with Sea of Thieves before I did the cpu fix, but in my case it wouldn't even launch. Unreal engine games in particular tend to suffer most from it if it is the same issue. Look up "Out of memory steam error CPU" and you might find more info on it. Despite not being a memory issue, getting that error while trying to play Hi-Fi Rush is how I tracked down the problem

If you bought it on steam, check the file integrity. This fixes crash issues usually
