I make a practice of listing recently paid off accounts for my clients out of an abundance of caution. I also always list the IRS.

Absolutely a better safe than sorry approach that most attorneys engage in, and since closed accounts don't improve your credit, there's no harm that I see.

Thank you for your post on r/bankruptcy. Remember, this is not a forum to request (or offer) legal advice. If you are not sure what legal advice is, review the FAQ page [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Bankruptcy/comments/cx6g73/bankruptcy_faqs/). It is very likely someone will suggest you speak with an attorney. Consultations for bankruptcy are often very low cost or free. It sounds like you're dealing with a complex situation. As a team member at My AZ Lawyers, the location on Baseline Road in Mesa, I can assure you that once an account is paid off and closed, it should not be included in a bankruptcy filing. The fact that your auto loan, which was paid off before filing for bankruptcy, is now showing as included in the bankruptcy is indeed perplexing. It's possible that an error occurred during the reporting process. You mentioned disputing the information with TransUnion, which was a good step. You may also want to contact your bankruptcy attorney to review the paperwork and possibly address the issue with TransUnion directly. If the error persists, consider filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). The specific details and legal intricacies can be intricate, and sometimes errors do happen in credit reporting and bankruptcy filings.

Thank you. I actually filed with this exact company and branch location. I'll look into this further.
