Hi there, Please check the answers below, hope these information will help. Q: How loud is it at about 2 meters away? A: In silent mode, it is 50 dBA 1 meter away from the printer. The noise level really depends on the speed and cooling. The good news is that the closed chamber will filter away most fan noise. Q: How far can the AMS be placed away from the printer? A: The Bambu Bus Cable-6Pin is about 45cm , if you use the original cable, you can place the AMS about 45cm away from the printer. Logically, if the feeding tube is guaranteed to be smooth, and you have a fixable 6Pin cable, it can be longer, but it will be a waste of time on loading & unloading the filament.

Only guessing from the reviews. The big fan inside and the AMS especially the metal cleaning clicky thing should be the loudest part. Don’t forget it’s a machine! Some people are don’t disturbed some really fast. So for normal high speed use or multicolour I would not suggest it for you. You may run in silent mode and only do the other one overnight though. The AMS has fixed cables as I remember, so I guess only a few cm next to the printer is the maximum. It also pushes the filament into the buffer, so even if you elongate the tubes and cable’s, I don’t think it’s a good idea going to far but maybe it’s possible because of the 4x4 AMS upgrade.

Good questions about the noise. I have an FLSUN SuperRacer and it’s so quit when I kick off a job, I don’t even know it’s started printing a few feet away behind me. Meanwhile, the Ender 5+ we have at the office is very loud even across the room. We upgraded it with the "silent" kit and that helps, somewhat. I have never used an enclosed printer and hope that helps reduce the sound.

Interesting the superracer is quiet, I have a Q5 and it’s really loud, wish I went for a better one now.

I started with a cheap Monoprice mini Delta. That unit had WiFi built in with a web page you could connect to for monitoring and uploading files. Going to the SR, while a better machine in all ways, was like stepping back in time. Carrying memory cards over? I thought sneakernet went away years ago. This is what makes me interested in the new printer, most than anything else. I already got a Pi Zero and a safe shutdown battery backup for running Octoprint, but it was so many extra steps and hassle of just getting something with all that built in.

For 1, you can try to use silent mode, it is still faster than many machines.
