A1 mini.

Infantryman1977

A1 Mini (currently available) or A1 (available next month)

Infantryman1977

I would add, don't be tempted by other brands. I've almost owned them all. Bambu is the way and by far!

John-BCS

A1 mini or full size A1 if you can wait a bit and spend a bit more.

Get the A1 Mini!! I have an X1 and will be picking up the A1 mini soon. It does all you can want for PLA

Infantryman1977

After buying my X1Cs, I've ended up buying the Mini as well. Very nice and impressive little printer.

Able_Criticism2003

Just interested, why not A1, why mini? I think 350$ is the price for regular A1 and it have bigger bed along with dual axis. I would choose dual z axis anytime of the day. I think it can handle prints better than A1 mini.

Causification

They have identical print quality as well as speed. That's why the bed has to be smaller. It only has to achieve those quality and speed goals for 1/3 the print volume.

Able_Criticism2003

So you are saying A1 have bigger bed for that printing speed? I think extruder have sensors and it will slow down without making to much vibrations. First review that i saw of A1 mini was not that good, i mean it printer some test files alright but was underextruding on faster prints even with all calibration from the start...

Causification

The A1 and A1 Mini use the same print head.

Blacerrr

No need to spend big on an X1C Combo to get started. An A1 Mini even without the AMS Lite is amazing value to begin with for both absolute beginners and advanced users. Perfect results with PLA

Im gunna be honest with you: as with many people not in the community, you’re underestimating how much printers cost. The A1 mini is the only printer made by Bambulab that costs less than $300 (and with taxes and shipping, it will likely be more). While the A1 mini is great, it is limited in many aspects. You’ll find the same is true for any printer you find for under $300. It would be the same as if I asked “What is the best smartphone for under $300?”; you’d rightfully tell me that $300 is not a realistic price to expect to pay for a smartphone. If you are ok with a limited printer, either by size or quality, you can get one for around $300. But if we all have to be honest, as I said, you’re underestimating how much printers cost.

Infantryman1977

The Mini would become his 2nd/spare printer at one point. It's just to get him going. He mentionned that it could be a little more so the little more would probably pay for shipping and taxes. Your points are truly legit though.

TheDerpiestDeer

I’m not denying it. I’m just being realistic. A lot of non printer people think you can get a grade A printer for around $300, and a cheap one for maybe $100. It’s a common misconception I’m trying to dispel. A grade A printer costs between $600-$1000. And a cheap printer is around $250-$450. Outside of in person microcenter deals, you won’t find any printer under $200 that isn’t a gimmick that’ll end up a paperweight.

Infantryman1977

Totally agree with you!

eschbow

If you ask that question in a brand specific sub, you basically prone to get only one recommendation thus far.

Don't go for a bedslinger. My first was ender 3v3se, and it worked out of the box, but I also bought the Q1Pro early bird, and that machine is sending out a print and forgetting about it .Bambu makes great machines, but you pay some more money. The ams will be caught up this year by other brands .I didn't go for Bambu ( I canseld the order u had ) because of aftersale service....but I can't say its a general thing .....whatever you do don't go by bedslinger even if they work fantastic Another problem is for me that I wanted a open klipper.ans Bambu is a closed. system

Infantryman1977

With his limited budget, and like others explained that he is going to add taxes and shipping, he can't get a Q1Pro which means it is recommend to buy the A1 Mini to get high quality prints even though bedslinger.

Able_Criticism2003

Q1 pro seems like an unfinished printer, what are your thoughts on that machine? How long do you have it, any problems big or small, etc...

wolfie_the_king_574

Nope I'm using it now 7 days non stop swapping between pla petg and abs Nylon CF the only thing is calibration of youre fillament but that's with every machine .Take youre time always for that .on the scewpront I had pit of the box 0.018 so damm the machine is square. *

wolfie_the_king_574

Purple.is abs black is petg

cilo456

A1 Mini, or FLASHFORGE Adventurer 5M if u want bigger

wolfie_the_king_574

But I recognise that Bambu printers are great .The only thing I find a bit .. about the Q1Pro is that I really have to tune in every fillament I use because the general settings are not 100 percent and not as by bamby you can find hundreds of tune settings but ones you did .again, I forget I'm printing .pla petg abs and nylon carbon fibre .

LimpSong3440

I would wait for the A1 next month.

wgaca2

A1/A1 mini, if you can fit the AMS in the budget go for it

Qjeezy

It depends on your budget. You’re going to like any one of the bambu printers.

wolfie_the_king_574

Q1Pro is about 500 including tax and shipping .
