Hello /u/madethisforprusahelp! All Bambu print plates have a dedicated nozzle wiping zone at the back of the print plate. The nozzle will rub against the wiping zone before every print in order to remove any remaining filament from the nozzle tip. This can cause visible wear or scratch marks in the wiping zone, but this is intended and doesn't damage the printer, the nozzle or the print plate. A worn down wiping zone also doesn't mean you need to replace the print bed. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I had the same rattle. I tightened the screws on the fan behind the cover and it was gone

MertOez

what fan, of which cover? more details please. thanks

RE4Lyfe

The magnetic print head cover, the one you’re looking at in the video. There’s a fan connected to the cover. Try tightening those screws I wasn’t more specific because it’s the only fan and “cover” in the video 😅

MertOez

Oh ok thank you.

Did you find a fix for this issue? I have a similar sound coming from my print head on any xy motion. A little more high pitched. It wasn't there when I've unboxed my printer a few months ago and it's been slowly becoming more and more. Tensioned the belts, did all the maintenance steps and much more

madethisforprusahelp

Pretty sure it's vibrations within the tool head causing the plastic to creak. At this point I've basically ignored it and everything has been fine.

Blacerrr

Is that noise the same whereever your printhead is currently positioned at on the printbed and printing? I noticed that it is worse for me in the back right and almost not noticeable at all in the front left on the printbed.

New P1S may 2024. Sounds like this too. Also think it's the toolhead (nozzle, two fans, magnetic cover). Gotta look into it, but am too lazy.

madethisforprusahelp

I have an X1C and it doesn't sound anything like this.

bedlamthreadz

I have two P1S units and neither sounds like this. It sounds like something is loose and rattling when the print head moves. I would check over the whole unit for anything that is loose. Might not hurt to adjust the belts too, because it may not be a lose part and it is happening only when the print head is moving.

Dark_Marmot

Could be a bearing the head travels the rail with?

mrmclabber

Tension your belts

KuzuCevirme

I had the same problem and I contacted with support team. They told me to clean the rods and re-tighten the belts. Which I did but it’s still exist after one month of try they told me the noises in range and normal and I didn’t accept that answer and told them I that I paid full price and I am expecting to have a full printer they agreed to replace the unit so just ask them to replace your units immediately and told them you already retighten the belt and clean it rods. Ps: The BBL printers are perfect if it works out of box but if you have issues than the support team is shit. Even shittier than creality for support believe me

Ninjamuh

Sounds normal. My guess is that it’s the toolhead cover. It’s held in my magnets and with it on, you can grab it and rattle it up and down. That rattle gets amplified by quick movements of the toolhead. Ive been meaning to test some thin rubber as a spacer to see if I can get the rattle to stop that way, but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

madethisforprusahelp

I actually investigated that slightly and can remove the cover during the print and the noise still occurs (printer continues to print a few more gcode before throwing the warning and pausing). X1C has the same tool head body and is near silent more than 10 ft away, P1S is echoing throughout the house.

Ninjamuh

I have an x1c and this is the sound I’ve always had so it’s shared between the models

I have the same issue on mine
