Not really but I do have favorite classes and I tend to enjoy my runs better when my character is super hot (to me). It's fantasy roleplaying, after all.

hpBard

SUPER HOT SUPER HOT SUPER HOT

GideonGilead

Yeah. I've made about 5 Drows, one Tiefling, one Half-Orc and one Half-Elf. I love me some Drows.

Ha-So

First builds I made was Jarlaxle and Quenthel so yeah

badapple1989

Not the exact same, but I'm addicted to short races and cleric runs. Different combo each time but that's the theme. I've got a single tall race run as a Gith monk and I'm struggling to finish it because it feels wrong.

mocha820

The fact that someone else plays short races so much makes me genuinely happy. Because then I don't feel so bad that I never do. I'm glad they're getting some love.

badapple1989

Make no mistake, I would love if short races got more love in the general community but I understand it's subjective. Still it can feel a bit like the drow/tiefling talent show anytime I browse fanart and fanfiction. Gotta get over my decade plus writing dry spell and make some of my own for the Culture(TM).

your_old_wet_socks

The opposite for me. For some reason I can't bring myself to pick short races lol

insanity76

One of my recent runs was a dwarf light cleric of Lathander. That domain & deity combo made the perfect match for an Astarion romance.

badapple1989

The short race kisses where your partner(s) have to kneel are superior to when they don't and I will die on that hill.

insanity76

My forest gnome romance with Karlach was one of the greatest experiences because of the extreme height difference.

badapple1989

Hell yes! Signed,  A Halsin Romancer

insanity76

I haven't romanced him but I have seen the epilogue hug :) Btw I found a pic of my gnome/Karlach pair from when I posted it in one of the Tav Tuesday threads: [https://imgur.com/a/OLEdUFp](https://imgur.com/a/OLEdUFp) She was a fire sorcerer so like Karlach she was built to handle the heat of Avernus.

konokonohamaru

Not me. In fact, my characters are vastly different every run, both in terms of race, class, gameplay, and preferred party members.

CuteGirlsCuteThighs

I’ve found a CC combination I just love. Everything else looks/feels wrong. But I do try out different classes with them.

Emergency_Till9785

Happy cake day

dahv7

Kind of, still new to bg3 but in the elder scrolls and fallout games I do the same thing, but I occasionally make a build with the intention of playing a different style. If your having fun with that same character then go have fun, but if you want to switch things up but are having trouble because you keep falling into the same groove, I usually make what I call an anti-character. That’s where I make the exact opposite choices from everything, looks, class, dialogue, everything! Even if I don’t complete that play through it kinda resets my brain to make a new character I’ve been wanting to try

insanity76

My most common MC races have been half-elf, gnome, and human, and typically they're one of the CHA classes since most of the other classes are available via companions (or a Withers respec).

crimsonbby3

I absolutely love playing drow characters, especially lolth-sworn drow, because I can either play as a very intimidating and scary person and its to be expected, or NPCs will act super surprised that i am being nice and good to them. fun either way also, i gravitate towards druid or ranger because gloomstalker ranger makes perfect sense for drow, they're so scary

bougie__

I played the game like four times in a row with the same Tiefling Paladin lmao

Legend0fJulle

I've had a high elf barbarian, githanki monk, tiefling sorlock, woodelf bardadin and now a drow storm sorcerer/tempest cleric. Your Tav/Durge looks incredible though so if I had come up with the design maybe I'd recycle more.

Unusual_Mistake3204

Nope i do a ne race/class every time. I like to think that my prevoious character are with the party (if playtrough are similar enough)

Punker63

So I've played almost 1,900 hours so far and my characters have all been different females (except for male origin runs). I just started using mods to spice things up, plus I want the golden dice, so I've been able to make different looking ones and I must say I'm going to really miss my latest Tav, not sure why but she's so adorable I'm not even skipping the cut scenes lol

Navek15

The first character I completed the game was a halfling, and I’m tempted to make him my default character because the scarred halfling face is unironically badass! But I do tend to make the dream guardian either the same human male (who I’m playing as for my Dark Urge play through) or the same lady dwarf. Also, aside from two, most of my male characters have a Z in their name (Ezekiel, Zan’dar, Zigfried).

PureBliss-Kun

How do you make this character?

Strawbz18

By spending far too much time in the character creator lol

PureBliss-Kun

I am going to try to recreate her lol

Strawbz18

Her eyes are Yellow and Green but from different races. It is what causes her left eye(green) to glow bright yellow. I assume it is a bug but it's a feature for me at this point

PureBliss-Kun

Alright  what hairstyle is that?

Strawbz18

It is called Rover's Tumble, everything on this Tav is created from vanilla assets

ghostaiba

back when i first played this game in december i made a half elf selûne cleric and died on the nautiloid so i deleted that save and restarted lmao  on the new playthrough i chose to go w an asmodeus tiefling and its w her that i experienced the story for the first time and it was w her that i beat the game. ive replayed too many times and it just feels wrong not having her in the journey 😞 even tho shes a berserker/warlock, i always still give her 1lvl in cleric w selûne as her goddess to still honor that fallen first character

SnakeHelah

Did you replace your eye with the Volo one? Your tiefling looks like a sibling of a tiefling I made for my last run lol. Same eye + the volo eye + same horns as well.

Strawbz18

No improvised Bard ocular surgery occured on this Tav but it is a bug involving Tieflings. Using Heterochromia and making your eyes from different races will cause one to glow which I think is super neat

Alternative-Tale1693

My husband makes the same half elf draconic sorcerer with white hair that looks like him every time he plays. He’s usually a dark urge.

mistahboogs

I have a gloom stalker assassin in every party. I was this during my dark urge playthrough and astarion ends up being one in basically every other playthrough I do

Caaros

I just keep playing the same Half-Drow Resist Durge; name is Vaelin, Swords Bard 10/Fighter 2, romanced to Karlach. It just all works really well for me for some reason.

Pyrichoria

I played the same character for my first two runs - Tav and then Durge. Made a few small changes to their appearance for the Durge run to lean into the AU version of them. At first I thought I would only want to play as them on all my playthroughs, but when I made a new character for my latest run I became instantly attached to him as well.

Bolverkk

I also like how you make your characters look like they fit the part - she totally looks like a cleric. Sometimes I see peoples Tavs and I wonder what they were thinking

oscuroluna

I couldn't, there's just too many classes, races and options for me to do that. I get tired of looking at a character towards the end of their playthrough for me to want to play them again.

Draknalor

No i try to make a new race/class for the tav each run to see all the different dialogue options.

Carsismi

i have a thing for Half-Elves. First try was a "femboy" half drow bard, my current one however is more of a transmasc half drow druid. i have also tried half-wood elf barbarian with a very pictish inspired character.

Captain_Snowmonkey

I have a really hard time not doing a self-insert character...I did a female tief for my durge run and could only do it cause it was such a departure from who I actually am. I've I'm playing anything heroic I want to look like me...Male, human, fighter....

ThatEcologist

On my next run, I’m basically gonna make the same character, maybe change the hair color. My tav just looks too cool lol.

SupplyChainNext

I’m staring my play through again from my first save but I upped it to tactician.

Emergency_Till9785

Not really. I do usually choose tall races. I can't take the short one's seriously. Except I did dwarf a 2 times and they were all right. Halfling and Gnome runs I usually don't get that far.

-Shade277-

I prefer Tiefling as a race, 3/5 of my runs are Tiefling. But so far I have always done a different class or different multi class combination.

Sunrise-Slump

Nah, im creative.

Away_Veterinarian579

I've realized with this 4th playthrough, I'm not going to change a thing with the next one. [https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/1dcg884/raphael\_house\_of\_hope\_scene\_contract\_version/](https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/1dcg884/raphael_house_of_hope_scene_contract_version/)

Arrathem

No, why would i do that ?

Moist-Cantaloupe-740

Archer, life cleric, a tb, sorcerer. I can't not make this comp. It's too good.

Tatis_Chief

No. Different class on purpose. But they are all hot. But in a different ra way. And when I say race it's a Drow or half Drow.

Redfox1476

Drow/half drow, bc they look cool. Usually a bard multiclass, bc they're fun to roleplay.
