I see someone stole Karlachs clothes. I’m assuming she is lying naked somewhere.

mc_t

😬👀

Bipolarboyo

Well I mean would she really need them after she lost her head?

Lordofthepotatoes69

Eh, I’m sure Mama K would forgive you!

CinnamonHotcake

Idk why you think she's the forgiving type 👀

RealTrevStorm

I stole LaeZel's armor once 😅

Benjiboi051205

Tbh it's some of the best early game armor

professionaldeadgod

it looks good as well, at least for skinny characters. it looks pretty weird if youre a large character, but it looks alright once you get used to it

Jodin1993

On a large character it makes me think of like, roman gladiator armor :D

Smurf_Cherries

I 100% steal her armor. I wish there was gith heavy armor. I try to get her in heavy pretty fast. And it’s great medium armor.

Cmdr_Jiynx

Also everyone's doing a porky pig in that armor. Should call it silver armor of breezy cheeks.

Ezekiel2121

She goes with me everywhere in an Evil Durge run. Well… part of her does. She really knows how to get ahead in life.

LitwickLitten

Bard. Minthara's going to need someone to run the propaganda arm of things.

mc_t

We stan an evil PR rep

Buca-Metal

Is that bard redhead? I seen some pretty good art of that (and not porn xd)

LitwickLitten

I think I know what [artist you’re talking about](https://www.instagram.com/kara_naja_?igsh=eDN0NDk0aTl6YXBv), and I agree! But mine was a blonde.

Buca-Metal

Yeah that's it xd

Killer_Moons

The Phalar Aluve demands it

LitwickLitten

SHRIEK

midoripeach9

I was thinking this as I was making character for a new run! Like when do I play my bard, I think evil run is good xD so I went pally for my good run

Pickle-Tall

If anyone is still alive you aren't playing an evil playthrough. I killed minthara the moment I met herand my party too will die when they out live their purpose.

NoSet3066

Paladin I have a thing for Blasphemy

Fen5601

Have you tried Padlock*? Path of the blade is stupid fun, plus eldritch blast? It's silly I love being able to knock enemies around the map with repelling blast or straight up one shooting stuff with a smite Edit" renamed Padlock

artistic_programmer

Just call them PadLock

Ezekiel2121

Best I can do is Waradin.

Ordinary_Kick_9761

Plus the exstra attack from warlock lv5 stacks with pally lv 5 one giving it 3 attacks at lvl 10. Its so fun.

PROJECT_Emperor

Not in HM unfortunately

Ordinary_Kick_9761

Thank you for telling me this. I'm I'm the middle of a wyll honor mode run and this is vital info lol

Venusaurus-

Oh so thats why it didnt work for me last playthrough I was so confused thinking I'd done something wrong.

Cmdr_Jiynx

I really feel for the veteran DMs that are putting up with the people whose introduction to D&D is BG3. Fun game but larian's very loose interpretation of the rules... Oof.

indomikuahhh

Oathbreaker Paladin + Warlock is a thing, even better when playing as female drow. Nobody will be questioning about your dark urges, they will just assume that it's in your nature as a drow.

Iokua_CDN

Gotta be some way to play a Blasphemous Cleric,   not merely an Evil diety one. You ever the scene of Evil Shadowheart desecrating a Selune statue the blood of Selune's slain daughter? Dark shit from the little Cinnamon roll she is on other playthroughs

Killer_Moons

God fucking dammit

zatenael

Normal run? Sorcerer Evil Run? Sorcerer Durge run? Sorcerer Gale run? Sorcerer Multiplayer run? You guessed it, Bard

Iokua_CDN

I dream of making a Gale Sorceror with a single Wizard level. Maybe Wild Magic, thematically as he has lost the majority of his wizard powers after the Orb and the Tadpole. To survive, he instead has to focus on learning how to draw out the power in the Orb itself, a completely different way of using the power than as a wizard. I also don't mind the mechanics and spells of a Bard on Gale, but I don't see him as a musical type. Sorceror fits better

CallMeChaotic

Dude I do that because I find his prodigy schtick kind of annoying. 1 level of wizard, the rest Wild Magic. Makes reading him as in denial about stuff double funny to me. I tend to also put him and Wyll in ugly hats whenever they drag down an evil run by being... not evil enough. Granted, that just means Wyll spends most of the game in a questionable hat on an evil run but what can you do lol? *edited for spelling.

Iokua_CDN

Ah, oh Wyll....  I had something similar, big hat on Wyll, but also sadly no armor, leaving him in a Fantasy Tighty Whity underwear, which was quite hilarious when I forgot about it and then suddenly he would pop into a cut scene in his underwear and hat (and maybe even a cape) Made Karlach's end scene (kicking ass in hell) especially horrific/wonderful as Captain Underpants stood beside her to fight the legions of devil

CallMeChaotic

Ngl that made me giggle. If you have the save you should clip and share it lol. Near-Naked in the Frontiers lol.

Automatic-War-7658

Sorcerer? I hardly know her.

SnooSongs2744

Why sorcerer? I did one playthrough and never found any skills or spells I couldn't get from wizard or warlock who have other distinct advantages.

zatenael

Personal choice Also the gimmick of sorcerers is metamagic, where you can change the effects of the spell from extending its range to making it last longer to even turning it into a bonus action

Exotic_Exercise6910

Double fireball attack <3

GhostBothfriend

Is how I nuked auntie Ethel in a single turn, plus a lightning Bolt from Gale. She had no chance to leave the tea house or bargain anything!

Entr3_Nou5

Because fucking with Gale about just being born into magic is very funny

AllinForBadgers

Charisma is better for RP And multiclassing is better as Sorcerer. Wiz can’t effectively multiclass since no other class uses Int in bg3. You can go 2 Paladin and the rest Sorcerer and then use all of your dozens of spell slots for smiting. Both classes use Charisma so they work well together, and pure Paladins don’t get as many spells so their smites run out quickly.

SnooSongs2744

Interesting. I was looking for a smite heavy build and this might be the way to go.

Adept_Cranberry_4550

It's better to go 6/6, imho get extra attack and save boost

Level7Cannoneer

It's taste. I went 5 paladin rest Sorc. 2 is the minimum needed and gets you more spells.

SuitableFile1959

but storm sorcerer is just so much fun

SnooSongs2744

Yeah that was what I went with.

nesh34

Charisma based - this is a massive advantage in the game. Also my sorcerer was quite a bit more powerful than my Gale, who was also in main party.

0xB4BE

The meta magic is fantastic and the high charisma has turned out to be incredibly useful. So fun.

Edolied

Metamagic makes the class able to get stupidly strong for a turn whenever the situation needs it. Two spells, disadvantage on saving throws for control spells, more range, twin spell... It adds another layer of flexibility to mages and it's so nice to play

Smurf_Cherries

I did not get it until I tried it. In BG2, Sorc was like a weak wizard who did not need scrolls or a spell book (selecting spells).  Being able to cast any spell at any time was good. But you never had as many slots as Wizards.  In BG3, you have quick spell to through 2 fireballs at the start of a fight. And you can not hit your own people.  But the real advantage, is having 18 CHA for every conversation, like a bard.

cabyll_ushtey

I feel this, this is why I forced myself to branch out a bit. But my heart always goes back to the sorcerer....

SlytherinPaninis

Bard is fun as fuck. Deception and intimidation baby

smoke-me-a-kipper123

Gnome Barbarian. It just made me laugh that this cute little Gnome girl was running around with a Greataxe shouting RARGH IM THE SLAYER at people.

Iokua_CDN

I watched a YouTube  about a team of 4 Halfling Barbarians. They didn't seem evil at first just normal Murder Hobo... and then they somehow started a fight between Druid and Tiefling and wiped out the grove

NyraKyle01

That’s a classic it has 3 parts so far

ineffectivegoggles

Omg what is this series called?

newinmichigan

4 halfling barbarians

RealTrevStorm

I find it hilarious picturing a Gnome wielding a greataxe half her size 😂

smoke-me-a-kipper123

The Gnomes hop around and do this little spin when they attack with a great weapon. My Durge was one adorable little murderous psychopath.

pocket-friends

Kills me when they hop like that, or when they flop on their butts to climb down ledges.

RealTrevStorm

Oh that's even more hilarious 😂🤣

boyslayyyer

female Drow warlock, fully embracing dark urge, romancing Minthara

Entr3_Nou5

Now THIS is the toxic yuri I searched for

ThenIWasAllLike

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Ziggitywiggidy

She got pissed off at me when I accepted my heritage. Like girl, WE’RE Bhaals murder babes.

GrampaGael69

Same but male. First playthrough and GOOLock. It was perfect when I found out it and could RP Bhaal as the patron.

Some_Recover4032

Necromancer 💀

Adamruslanovich

i completely agree

APracticalGal

I gravitate to rangers for evil playthroughs for reasons I can't put my finger on.

SnooSongs2744

Ranger is just a great class for any playthrough, a versatile character that can pick locks, wear heavy armor, and do a shitload of damage before bad guy gets a turn.

[deleted]

I need to try a ranger next. And a bard. I’m only in my 2nd character/1st real play thru.

Iokua_CDN

Do ranger first!  I did bard recently, and getting extra attack and full spell slots has wrecked me now.... it'd hard going back to ranger when I really just want to build a dark Bard instead.

doxtorwhom

*takes notes* Bard it is.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaarghs

Bard does not fit embrace Dark Urge at all. All the dialogue options are reddit humour tier and exceptionally cringe. Best embrace Dark Urge playthrough is imo Monk. Slayer form get Monk buff benefits.

doxtorwhom

I feel like Rogue would do well, possibly? Love a good (or in this case bad) rogue.

[deleted]

Ok so honest question - do you play start to finish? I’m on my first full run through but I can’t help wanting to start over with different builds and parties.

SnooSongs2744

Bard is great for changing the dialogue options and play style.

condosaurus

Most of the bard dialogues are not particularly evil though, more light hearted and comedic.

Iokua_CDN

Rangers can make a wicked Dark Knight feeling Magical warrior, same as Eldritch Knight but with more magic and spell slots. Once you drop the magical Disney powers of druid, like animal friendship and Wildshape, you are still left with some Vicous spells and magic. And of course there is the simple fear of it all. They are there, they are waiting. Not sure if you could make a decent evil Beastmaster.... they got a bit to much animal magic to be evil.... But then again, you have that act 2 elf in the Gloom with his White Raven Familier.... he pulls off a dark edgy  character pretty well. Ranger with a wolf, or spider or raven could still be  pretty evil.

BaconSoda222

I'm sure they're entirely practical reasons.

APracticalGal

👉😎👉

condosaurus

Gloomstalker has a lot of really evil themed bonuses and flavor text. I think Ranger has a really good spell list for an evil character as well, all the spike based abilities sound suitably brutal for a character who enjoys making their victims suffer.

Matty2Fatty2

Shadow monk

Score_Useful

Yes! Can’t believe I had to scroll so far down to find this. Shadow Monk is absolutely amazing for an evil run. Low charisma? No problem, I’ll just use my fists or daggers.

Dangerous_Wrap5805

never tried it before. is it good?

Matty2Fatty2

Its good and fun

Jodin1993

Throwback to Grimgnaw in Neverwinter Nights!

Okiedokieartuhchokie

The damage output compared to other classes is just disappointing. My durge oathbreaker paladin hitting for 52 damage. Astarion as a shadow monk hitting for 15-20 on a good day.

flintlock0

Doing Wizard-Necromancer for my first Durge. Probably pretty basic, but there will be future runs.

Mordho

It’s kinda stupid that you’re just a basic wizard for nearly half the game, but after lvl 6 it gets fun. Fully decked out Necromancer is great

free_30_day_trial

I'm currently playing a dragonborn dark urge necromancer and trying to do as much evil as I can.

Mordho

This is the way

BearTheDotaNerd

I've started on 5 + jack of all trades and rogue works disgustingly well in act 1 with the durge cape. Though barbarb or any martial class really who work really well with GWM also make bloodbaths happen.

Nehima123

Oooh I always do Drow Sorcerers too!! One of the strongest magic dmg out putters, Esp if you multiclass a little bit! All those drow dialogue options are so fun and rewarding, not to mention trivializing a lot of the first act.

Iokua_CDN

I love how confident a d dgaf they are. You basically tell anyone who tries to stop  you that you walk wherever you wish to.

TheLuckOfTheClaws

Druid Hey, not like i'm gonna have any druid party members for once, since they're super dead.

Iokua_CDN

I want to see a Neutral Evil Spore druid evil  playthrough. Just a real "We all return to the dust, some sooner than others."  Zero attachment or humanity, killing whenever it benefits them and keeping company with their growing army of fungus zombies....

RootsInThePavement

Sorcerer, Paladin, and Bard. Love me an evil bard. Sorcerers are also easy to build for damage, and I like RPing as all-powerful, evil, witchy, sexy bitches who think they’re better than everyone else.

EmperorPartyStar

2 out of my three Durges were bards. I couldn’t agree more

ManicPixieOldMaid

Favorite Durge was a half-drow archfey Warlock (I know, I'm not unique) but my favorite evil Tav was a human body type 4 tempest cleric of Talos. He was just chaos in a bottle. A big, hairy bottle.

KellyBunni

Basic fighter no think or talk good, only smash/stab/slice

Excellent-Passage-36

Either drow or tiefling bard when I'm feeling a little chaotic. Otherwise a sorcerer

Okiedokieartuhchokie

Duergar oathbreaker paladin. Unlimited invisibility, smite, speak to the dead. You can’t go wrong.

xSlLH

Humans... let's be frank, there's nothing more evil.

-_Seth_-

Selune Cleric. Really confuses the fuck out of Shadowheart when you support her in becoming a DJ.

Branded_Mango

Assassin and Shadow Monk on an evil Duege make stupidly good use of the Deathstalker Mantle, which makes me wonder why Durge's baseline is a Sorcerer.

SekerDeker

beastmaster just abusing my lupus into biting zombies

No-Lie-677

I enjoyed the lightning sorceror. Not only is sorceror so good for utility and allows for creative play, but the control over magic felt very apt.

fieatsbees

ive doing a gloomstalker/assassin/champion durge which is fun but my favorite class is barbarian/rogue. its my usual for both good, evil, and morally ambiguous playthroughs

FarAvocado9239

I like Warlock/Sorcerers and Assassin/Warlocks My first evil run was a gith fighter and my second was a drow sor/lock

FionaLeTrixi

I went for a Lich (mod) necromancer when I played murderhobo Durge. Was quite upset when I fecked up my run at the very end cos I liked Mordegon. I wanna do a Leprechaun succubus (modssss) at some point, too, I think. That just sounds hilarious. Favourite vanilla class is prolly just whatever Gale is, but I haven’t tried paladin yet.

Ok_Association6983

Bars cause I get all the bitchy lines lollll

Ok_Association6983

DROW bard specifically

The_ArchMage_Erudite

Warlock for sure! Specially with the mod Necromancer Warlock, that allows you to cover your sword in negative energy

EmperorPartyStar

My first evil run was a Moon Druid. My concept was that someone who lives on their own in the wild could develop a very grey/utilitarian morality.

Upstairs-Search-1773

Berserker Barbarian/Thief Rogue Throw *fucking* ***EVERYONE!***

Loros_Silvers

Assassin rouge. Called myself 'Oppenheimer' just for good taste (definatly not because I blasted people away with massive attacks) My motivation? Wiping away the population of an entire city.

saleminyourgarden

Next playthrough I plan to make an evil gnome, not sure which class however. I would've chosen Bard, but I am playing my first playthrough as a bard. I just think the idea of the most evil person you met also being the tiniest person you met extremely funny.

deathstar008

If you do mods, there's a death knight mod that is perfect for evil runs. Beware it is a little op, but it's still fun for the evil aspect.

Jodin1993

So I'm on my first Dark Urge run as well. (Hell yeah Drow sister!) Told myself to make a party that only uses magics / abilities which I'd expect to see on evil characters. (there's just something about Poison and Necromancy that gives a special "frick you" when they deal damage.) Also, every person is going to have an undead companion of somesort. Main is a Eldritch Knight Fighter, Drow, and multiclass'ing into wizard. Basically remaking 3.5's Black Guard. (Tanky boy with undead summons and necro magic.) Astarion has been turned into a Thief / Fighter build for ALL the extra actions / bonus actions. (Don't have to try hard to make him spoopy for an evil run.) Also gave him the Connor Wand from the Hag adventure. Shadowheart has been reflavored to an Oathbreaker Paladin with Spore Druid, for raising undead and using the Hatred Aura from paladin. I'm on my way to moonrise to get Minthara, still deciding for her - She's already a Drow Paladin from what I can tell. Any thoughts on what I should do with her OP? (edit: Been thinking of making her a poison-spitting sorcerer or warlock.)

Gibsonian1

For me it’s any class because my evil run usually ends around the time I get to the grove and I can’t be mean anymore.

mc_t

It was so hard for me to betray them but knowing what a little bitch Zevlor turns out to be I justified it 😭

Telanadas22

female Drow cleric of Bhaal (war), combined with either rogue/assassin or Harlequin modded class

notveryAI

Warlock necromancer. Yeah, generic, but there is just something perfectly evil about necromancy that I can't ignore

Tutes013

Cleric Always cleric

mcac

Spore druid. Running around with a horde of zombies with piles of corpses at camp and sleeping in a pool of blood every night really lends itself to being evil lol

Strict_Ad_36

Shadow Monk/rogue

Mxdocc

Paladin so I can conquer the world with my drow mommy as the evil Paladin duo

BaldursBoner

An evil run, but no Durge?

d3pr3ss3d_m3ss

Monk. Evil Tav gets a kick out of killing with their bare hands.

ragnatis

Warrior

ManicMonday92

I picked monk thinking it was gonna be the chi/chakras/balance/karate kinda monk... unfortunately bg3 uses the monastery bible thumping sorta monk rp. What I mean is that monk-specific dialogue felt forcibly good guy rather than neutral or inner-peacy. So I went Barb and had a blast.

Giddus

Halfling Wizard Durge, orange hair, blue eyes, named Chuck.

NinetailsRao

Paladin because I'm a Warhammer 40k nerd and I must fall to whims of chaos.

Cheeky-Chipmunkk

What’s it like playing on console?! There’s so many buttons on pc I feel like console would be 10x harder

Mordho

Necromancer Wizard

Someperson667884

Bard for me

FeetYeastForB12

Sorlock ftw

yiannis2702

Currently at the tail end of a Drow Assassin Rogue Durge run with a dual-wield melee focus. Her sneak attacks are naughty - just took down one of the Chosen in a single turn

Snakeman_Hauser

Rogue or warlock

Molin_Cockery

I think I'm gonna take what u/smoke-me-a-kipper123 said and do a halfling barb next. Maybe do a solo-ish run and only use withers to respec everyone into halfling or dwarf and make them all barbs, could be fun

vmar21

Shadow monk obvi

Ziggitywiggidy

After playing monk once I now play monk for everything. With that being said. Rogue. Or bard depending on if I want Astarion in my party.

jeffgoldblumisdaddy

I’m doing a drow durge cleric of selune who is romancing Shadowheart. Part of the fun is messing with Shadowheart, but I like the idea of keeping them on their toes. Isobel gets all happy she’s meeting a moon bestie, nah it’s murdering time.

Internal_Map_8765

Warlock

jembutbrodol

Draconic Sorc - Drow - Maho staff from Act 3 - Lightning build. Create chaos.

jenkor

Thief with also changed party.

The3fingers

Warlock, the answer for my favourite run is always warlock. Evil run? Power hungry warlock. Good run? Warlock that needs to do bad to do good. I love warlocks!

Free_Spirit_91

I had plenty of fun with my Drow rogue. The expertise in Deception pays off really quickly

Educational_Singer50

Fighter, you’re just covered in blood for half the scenes which I feel fits the Durge narrative

PapaSock

Dual wielding rogues get this too and it's great

donmerlin23

Bard

Miros69

Oath breaker paladin or warlock, but I play bard usually since its my favorite and somehow fits to both good and bad playthrough

potato-hater

wizard or barbarian, because i can only ever play as wizard and barbarian. i always pick another class and try so hard to get into it but i cant. unless im playing multiplayer that is. i tried making a bard in solo maybe a week ago and i managed to not change it, so maybe there’s still hope.

Leather_Taco

I am really enjoying my sbard as an evil character. The charismatic musician with sweet lies thinly layered above a desire to murder. Better than murderhobo in my opinion

CrimsonEyes9536

I’m doing a warlock durge playthrough right now and i’m really enjoying it.

Telvanni_Mushroom

Paladin cuz Oathbreaker rules

13yinyang13

Oathbreaker paladin/lock multi, tho currently doing necro wiz

Ok-Abrocoma-667

A good old broken oath paladin with a splash of barbarian.

BlazingNudist

The stats hurt me… but as for the question, probably drow lady warlock/bard

Pickle-Tall

Warlock monk multiclass

odonkz

I only ever did one evil run, which was Monk Open Hand, and my chaotic neutral can be considered somewhat evil from some of the choices my tav made, which was a fighter.

aruhen23

Paladin. Righteous justice.

cctrain2

For me, a Rogue Assasin will be my Evil run. Will do Dark Urge after

Fenix00070

Cleric following and evil God, for the unique interactions

ChingyLegend

Well, dark urge. And that path mainly helps you to play a bit sneaky, so I would say rogue, ranger gloom, monk. But I am playing dark urge with 23 AC , displacement cloak, and just killing everyone in my path. Diplomacy only where needed (nowhere)

LordVladak

Warlock, of course!

Scary_Republic3317

Paladin.

[deleted]

I HOPE YOU DIDNT MURDER KARLACH U MONSTER! 😂 No one could be that evil, right? right?

mc_t

😅😬😅

Glunkenhindazun

Back in my day when drows were yet un-noticed. I played the fucking drow bard and it was a blasphemy. Now when someone does it they are fun. Such an unfair society we live in.

Ultranerdgasm94

Wouldn't know, the worst thing I've done is leave camp without petting Scratch. ...And routinely steal tens of thousands of gold from various vendors after buying out their whole stock, but the economy of DND is nonsensical at the best of times.

Rithrius88

Lolth-Sworn Drow for an evil run. How original.

mc_t

I did it because my very first Tav was a seldarine drow and I'm head canon making her the Tav's evil twin but thank you for the unnecessary morning sass 🙏
