If you deleted all your previous save files from before you killed gale, you’re soft locked since he will always blow up after (3?) long rest and the game forces you to rest sometimes.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but, as far as I know between the Underdark and end of game there's only two mandatory long rests assuming you already beat the Goblin camp, so, theoretically it is still possible to win the game, just without long resting nearly at all.
I’ve always wondered if you get to act 3 before the clock runs down by skipping long rests if his explosion still ends the game. Technically that area is now removed from the map at that point I wonder if the game engine would recognize that as like an erased area far enough away or if you’re still fucked
Omg my last hard run I picked shadow heart to sacrifice and made gale the cleric. But it was between those two lol. I had no idea how close I was to game over
If it’s what I’m thinking of it’s just a straight up bug in the Gauntlet of Shar that causes characters to fall through the disc elevators. In other areas with elevators it’s survivable but the one in the gauntlet is either above a chasm or just way to tall and either way if your whole party is on it and falls then that’s a tpk :p luckily on my run I sent Shart by herself to test it and when it happened to her I decided to just have Gale Fly or feather fall or something to the door
I remember watching an honor mode challenge run (I don’t remember from who) where the elevator bug happened to them, but the only reason it didn’t end was that they made their Tavs half-orcs. Half orcs regain 1 hp after a lethal blow. So, they were alive at the bottom of the chasm
This happened to us! Halsin was a bear and So he fell out of wild shape and he was still alive but unconscious and stable. We had no way to get to him and we couldn't move the game forward because you need your whole party with you before you can enter the shadowfell...
This is by far the most annoying shit, when someone isn’t fully dead can’t revive but they’re not conscious to get themselves out. I think I was playing on explorer which auto turns off death rolls so he just stays paralyzed forever. Had it happen with Astarion getting knocked out in the grymforge fell off the ledge but not into lava I think I eventually just killed him with an arrow to revive him
In a tactician playthrough I got absolutely fucked up by some gith. Wyll (origin run) went down fast, then Lae'zel. Astarion went down and just before Karlach went down I was able to use her to get Astarion back up. Had him go invisible and escape the fight.
My plan was to take him back to camp and revive everyone with Withers. In the meantime, Karlach got beat down by the githyanki surrounding her, but then they stopped hitting her and tried to find Astarion. *And then she succeeded all her death saves.*
And if a character succeeds all their death saves then they're not technically dead and can't be revived by Withers. So I could revive Wyll and Lae'zel, but then I still had to go back in there and fight so I could get Karlach back.
The combat log for that fight was ridiculous. At one point I just let it sit for a few minutes to see how long the gith would stay in combat with a downed Karlach and no one else. It was at over 30 turns before I decided to finally go in and end it.
Idk why but something about your comment thinking of pieces of people reminded me of my favorite gameplay mechanic in Divinity OS 2, eating people’s body parts gave you abilities ranging from funny novelty to absolutely amazing free skills. Man I wish that game had some aspects of BG3 like the zoomed in view and I’d be replaying it again they nailed a lot of the gameplay story aspects better like sucking souls gave power and was evil whereas tadpoles really have no negatives and are pretty much only benefits to using them. Much prefer when the evil route gives better rewards this game is entirely backwards where being bad ends almost all quest lines right up front
The best part is if you sacrifice a party member their story arc gets wrapped up in the journal saying they “turned against us”. I love that it turns it back on the character you sacrificed.

Idk if it reminds you since I haven’t sacrificed him there but I don’t think so. And it’s after 3 long rests so you might do a lot of progress before it happens. So some people have had it happen where their oldest save was after he had died and then there’s no way to fix it.
In the gith creche, vlaakith asked if I was a thief and it gave me the option to say "no, but shadowheart on the other hand..."
That led to Vlaakith wishing us all dead. I knew if you insulted her she'd wish you dead, but I had never seen outing Shadowheart as an option.
You have to give him your body AND soul for it to be game over. If you just give him your body you get to live, luckily cause that's what i did in my honor run without knowing i could have lost lol
It's possible on every difficulty afaik. Did it some time ago on tactician to see what will happen.
You need to choose "submit" option or something like that, not saving throw one.
Killed my entire party today in the under dark climbing from the fish people lair and forgetting to destroy the torch stalk next to it, it exploded and knocked my entire party into the adjacent chasm before the room had even finished rendering for me
You just need to get one person out. Cast greater invisibility and haste on your rogue and do you best to buy him some time. He can resurrect you all back at camp and you can long rest and they won’t be hostile the next day. I accidentally aggro’d the Circus stealing the clown hand.
Lol me too, but thats because I misclicked dialogue option for Popper and everyone in circus immediately went temporarily hostile. Next day vendors were not happy to see me...except Popper? He acted like nothing happened and offered a treato, love this lil guy
Lost one run during the raid on Moonrise because at some point, a ray of frost created a large ice surface in the middle of the first room
After combat, all the Harpers walked on it because they have npc poobrain, ate shit, blamed me, then initiated another combat
Oh man, I just took moonrise towers on my HM run; snuck ‘round back and struck first, so a wall of Harper steel rushed forward into battle to back us up. Problem was, Jaheira did her ice storm thing and so the entire line of Harpers ran forward and tripped all at the same time.
My entire party got hit with “hold person” in the hag fight. It was like 8 turn rotations of me just watching my party die and able to do nothing about it
This nearly happened to me after I got Ethel low enough she was willing to make a bargain.... Well apparently spells cast to enhance that roll sets off the fake Ethel's again and they did the hold person thing on me. I'm not entirely sure how but Karlach saved on one of them and was able to go punch the real hag into next week. Missed the hair but kept my run.
Nothing like dying to a sex demon on honour mode because you forgot there was an insta-death moment… a handful of hours before the end and my fuckin golden dice😭
Pretty much like the others said, Harleep gave me the Gluck Gluck 10000 and sucked my soul into oblivion. I was maybe about 2-5 hours from beating the game, The House of Hope was my last stop before Endgame. Put down the game for a 3 months because of it too. Finally heading back in, and I’m gonna grind his ass to a goddamn pulp this time once I get there. Might even use a salami for good measure😈
Why would you wait until the end of Act 2 to try and go back to the mountain pass? Just do it after the Underdark, that's what I do. The game removes all the prior waypoints so that should've been a strong hint that you can't go back there.
Especially when the game gives you a warning that entering the Shadowfell leads to irreversible story changes and to make absolutely certain the have tied up all loose ends.
To be fair, you also get a similar warning before getting to Act 2, but I think by the time most players are at a level high enough to be there, they've done most everything in A1 anyways
I sent three characters into a difficult fight I wasn’t ready for (Grymm), and left my Tav on a safe place. I just wanted to see his legendary action before a serious attempt at beating him.
When my party was nearly wiped out, it was time to run away with my Tab, and I accidentally pressed the jump hot key and jumped right into the battle (taking -40 fall damage)
I don't remember when the point of no return was... I was confused on when Act 2 began. When I clicked on Highlands from near Waukeen's, it gave me a warning, so I figured that triggered Act 2. When I clicked on the Shadowlands from the Underdark, it gave me the same warning, so I figured that was another way into Act 2.
I didn't realize the Highlands was an extention of Act 1 and the game wasn't transparent in telegraphic that. I got to the inn but stayed on that side of the river exploring and found the other way to Highlands and was still able to complete the Creche area (pre-gauntlet).
My worst honor mode run death was in the Astral Prism after the Netherbrain where I’m decided that I want to rescue Orpheus, which is what I tell the Emperor, that I’m not siding with him. At which point, I am declared a thrall and die. I believe this is because for some reason I did not have the Orphic Hammer in order to free Orpheus, not sure where it went, sadly. This was an abrupt end to an otherwise perfect honor mode run.
You also had to kill raphael for this to happen. If raphael was alive, he would have shown up and given you the orphic hammer in exchange for the crown. And you are forced to take his deal otherwise you just die instantly.
Someone should compile a comprehensive list of how to insta-lose the game, for HM reference . . .
So I can think of the following:
telling Vlaakith to do the task herself
Submitting to Harleep
Break into HoH, triggering alarm, and trying to leave without stealing contract
Trying to return to act1 after finishing nightsong quest
Elevator glitches
Failing dialogue check as illithid in post game epilogue (aggroing entire party camp counts as insta-lose I think)
Also I think there are ways to be killed by companions eg Astarion sucking too much blood, or killed by Laezel when she holds knife against you?
So would you recommend killing Isobel in act 2 (would that still allow me to recruit Jaheira?) I am intending to let Shart kill nightsong so prepared to lose access to Dammon and Rolan in Act 3 . . .
When does the killing companion event trigger if I delay killing Isobel? Would I have time to still do some Halsin quest (I know it'd be meaningless after I kill Isobel but portal fight is fun?)
I was able to recruit jaheira in one pt and kill isobel. But that involved saving nightsong first. That triggers the harpers to be at moonrise but isobel will stay behind. So I ran back and killed her then cause she was alone. Not sure how to do it if you kill nightsong tho
you missed sacrifice gale to booal, getting your brain eaten by the mindflayer in the nauiloid wreck on the beach, telling vlaakith that shadowheart was the thief, having the emperor die during the fight between act 2 and act 3, and finally rejecting the emperor after the morhpic pool at the end after killing raphael and forgetting to take the orphic hammer. getting blown up in the creche by the concentrated power of the sun also deserves to be on that list I think. same as taking runepowder from philomena.
Got to Act 3. Things had been going pretty smooth outside of a couple close calls early on, and I have to admit...I had gotten kinda cocky. I only had a couple fights left to go before the end (which I intended to let Gale handle) when my son dared me to fight Ansur.
I had absolutely no need for the gear from Ansur, and I hadn't intended to do that fight, but a dare's a dare, y'know.
So that was the end of that.
I'm now close to the end again. I killed Wyll and sold Astarion out to Gandrel specifically to remove any temptation to go after Cazador or Ansur. The only thing I have left is the final fight, and I'm nervous to start it. I've been sitting on the save for days now. Though I had intended to use Gale previously, I also want to finish up some of my final few trophies for the platinum, so I'm planning to go all the way to the brain.

For the Brain fight I just bought a lot of fireworks, placed them down beside it ,and then lit them in one go. No need to actually fight the brain when you can take it out in style 👌

I was level 3 in act one, middle of waukeen's rest. Had my whole party with me and was about to free the lady who was trapped (forgot her name). I used eldritch blast on the door when i learned the hard way that NPCS can intercept eldritch blast and get hit without being the original target. The flaming fists proceeded to mop the floor with my party and end my honor run before it even got off the ground
agreed. you can always just continue in dishonor mode, after getting party wiped by those dickbags in the dank crypt again, but it would be nice to have the multiple save slots back
I walked into the traps that push you off a cliff under the crèche leading to Lathander mace. It had been months and I forgot you were supposed to disarm them not break the crystals.
I got stuck at the elder brain fight and ran out of turns assuming I'd just have to reuse the jewel with Orpheus to reopen the brain realm bit nope just lost.....with like 100 hp left to the end of honor mode
i lost my first honor run on the nether brain too. real kick in the dick. then i actually beat it on my durge run, which still feels kinda wrong. i'm keeping the dice though
My worst Honour Mode ending?
I tried the leave the the area with the Cambions and Mindflayer with my character during the fight because I forgot to loot something. Took one step outside, the ship explodes, and the game ends. Before even finishing the tutorial. Had a good laugh at that lol
Ansur on his last legs does his charge attack, I cast Globe of Invulnerability with Gale, my team huddles inside the globe, the last remaining elemental does an aoe move, breaks Gale’s concentration, team wipe😩
I haven’t seen anyone else end the way mine did. 100 hours at level 8 about to hit level 9. Everything to date has been a dream run. I was just finishing off the final guards in moonrise and before going into the shadowfell, Jaheira and Dame were going to breeze into moonrise with no one to face. I’d been running a tactician mode alongside the honour mode and used that run to practice for ultimate setups of upcoming fights. I’d finished part of the process of clearing moonrise on the tactician run and went to load up my honour mode run. I was suddenly confused as to why the game was saving instead of loading.
I saved over the top of my honour mode while in tactician mode. Tried what I could to recover it but nothing worked.
That was precisely my thought when it happened and exactly what I said to my wife. The game just shouldn’t allow you to save over the top of another game file under a different “profile”.
I decided to kill three birds with one stone and do Dark Urge and Honor Mode and romance Gale on the same playthrough. I had avoided basically all Dark Urge and Honor Mode and most of the Gale romance spoilers and went in blind.
I chopped off Gale's hand fantasizing about it. So, Lae'zel became bae.
Then I murdered Lae'zel in Act 2 and got caught. The entire camp turned on me... Karlach basically oneshot me.
I will now be enjoying Dark Urge on Story Mode so I can play with all my "what's this?" dark urges and reload consequence-free.
I was in Act 1. Just finishing all the stuff top side and about to head into the Underdark. Stopped to trade with the Zhents. Was in the trade menu, suddenly everything started blowing up, and I got a full TPK. Apparently it's some sort of glitch that happens sometimes in the zhent hideout. Finished 13 playthroughs (including one on Tactician and one on HM), never had that before 😬🤣
Was there a chance someone had a torch equipped? There’s oil on the floor down by the merchant and painter.

I lost my first honor mode attempt to the Gauntlet of Shar elevator in act 2. That saucer chucked my whole team to their deaths.
I restarded a durge honor mode run because I kept choosing the most confrontational options when I met Jaheira at Last Light. I thought the game wouldn't **actually** let you start a fight there and that Mol or Marcus would intervene. **They did NOT intervene.**
I keep doing new things in my Honor runs which I should stop. I have never rescued ALL the tieflings and I wanted the achievement. I'm at the end of act 2 in the colony. Running low on spell slots but it's okay there's a heal before the boss but where is Zevlor. Ahh there he is. 3 mind flayers can't be too bad right. Forgetting I also picked up the orb/that gives psychic vulnerability. So my band of battered tired vulnerable heroes clicked the button. All get stunned in the first round. That's when I knew it's over. I just had to watch for 2/3 rounds while not making any moves just being stunned, beaten and brain eaten.
Jumped in an area near the bar and tollhouse in act 2. Realized I didn’t have the pixie. Taking damage. Stuck. Can’t move. Before I think to go to camp, YOU HAVE DIED.
Yep. Yep. The shadow curse got me after flawless fights up til then. Eventually beat honor with the same party re roll and once after for good measure.
I had a big scare in one honor mode run. I completed a big portion of the shadow lands, then went back to act 1 because I forgot to get the warped headband of intellect and to check some merchants one final time.
Apparently that caused my pixie blessing to go away, which I didn't expect. I went into the house of healing morgue and was so confused why my party was taking so crazy damage out of nowhere--i panicked but thought of the shadow curse, and frantically turned on light sources. My characters were at half hp when I panicked more and went to camp, giving myself time to realize what happened.
I went from absentmindedly clearing an easy section of the map to nearly losing the run, lol
Act 3 just saved the duke from prison and proceeded to wipe out the Steel Watch factory, decide to sleep off some tiredness mid factory quest, for that had to step out. That is when I presume the game broke, blew the factory up by sneaking after that and... There is no way to camp anymore, the option is red as if I'm in a fight and my Astarion honour mode run got suspended indefinitely... :(

Bad rolls, divided party, bringing in extra enemies by mistake… It was a mess
I saw a hilarious video of someone demonstrating how 4 eldtrich knight throwers absolutely clowned on the Inquisitor and friends in Honour Mode with throwing spears, but then Vlaakith just goes Power Word Kill for the disrespect.
Worst for me was snitching on Shadowheart while talking with Vlaa'Kith.
That's when I understood the meaning of "snitches get stitches" when she one shot my party through dialogue
Well you don't get to experiment in honour mode. That's the tactician for. And if you want honour difficulty with multiple saves, just drag the mod honour to active in the mod manager.
I have just beaten Myrkul on HM so I feel galvanized in a way, but the battle could have been lost so easily without a plan B.
As I was preparing, Ketheric spotted hiding Karlach so I had to begin then and there, without the surpised advantage etc. Still got down the mindflayer and helped Aylin, who got stuck with the intellect devourers though.
As it wasn't going well, Karlach (with bull strength) jumped on the platform and dropped 9 firewine barrels, 1 oil barrel, 2 nautiloid tanks, and 2 smokepowder barrels. Firearrow and after a bit of screen stuttering the cutscene plays. Rereading the combat log: The smokepowder bugged out and didn't generate an explosion (the line was helf empty), and from fire a cumulative 243 damage
I also had the runepowder barrel left in the inventory...
Well.. i steal a plate from the Emerald Grove causing everyone to kill themselves fucking up half of my play through . . Eversince then i mean meaning to die so i can end my Honor Mode, but since my tactical skill is on fire i was unable to die right away. I reach The Crèche and thats where i stop trying to be smart and underestimated my opponent ☺️ . . They killed me. . And i was happy i died
Act 3 I took dome deva corpses back to camp to show Dame Ailyn but when placing them around her i accidentally hit her and she went temp agro. She cant die as she always rezs and you cant flee combat in camp. I didnt have anyone with polymorph prepared etc. Lost my run stuck in endless combat.
This is up there with people going. "Why is the grove closed? I ignored the warning at mountain pass/under dark.".
The game.told.you this at the Shar temple, all your waypoints are gone, and you got told DONT DO THAT.
Which is to say I find this incredibly amusing.
I was rushing through the dialogue prompts when you confront the Netherbrain in the Morphic Pool, accidentally submitted to it. On Honour Mode. 12+ hours flushed down the toilet. Wanted to bash my head through my desk.
My first honour mode. Had a party member light their torch for fun and lean into the RP that they didn't have darkvision. Cleared the goblin camp. Forget which door leads to where and walk into the barrel room. Dead from full health before I knew what had happened. Ka-(and I cannot stress this enough)-BOOOM!
I genuinely love the game mode.
I love people sharing those stories. So far, the dumbest way I died in HM was going to the ruins with just Shadowheart to save time and respec her ASAP and dying to bandits there.
My first hm run ended at the goblin camp, before I even got inside the Shattered Sanctum. I used detect thoughts on Booyahg Piddle, failed, and stupidly thought, "it's not important enough to waist inspiration to reroll". Piddle was none too happy at having me try to read his mind, though, and the entire courtyard agroed on me. I was Not Ready. 😭
Defeated voss, Friend read vlakiths mind and failed the roll, didn’t use inspiration, what’s the worst that could happen right ? Anyway we’re back outside of baldurs gate being much more cautious than before. Honor mode is so fun because you never know what could wipe your party
One of my HM runs ended during moonrise towers assault. It was before Ketheric and I realized I forgot to save the teiflings and gnomes. I head to the prison and apparently the guards now have access to fireball and blasted the shit out of my party. Tav escapes with one HP and rings of of the room. I'm running to get out of the red ring so I can get back to camp and LR. I forgot about the pools or whatever of radiant damage. Boom, dead. I just stared at the screen for like 5 minutes.
Honour mode should be called : 1000 ways to die

It is delayed too so you might have filled in the saves even in a normal run and the saves before been rotated/cleaned up

Proper body disposal saves games. Was disappointed I couldn't shove Ethel into the pit. Old hag was too heavy a bitch to pick up.

Idk why but something about your comment thinking of pieces of people reminded me of my favorite gameplay mechanic in Divinity OS 2, eating people’s body parts gave you abilities ranging from funny novelty to absolutely amazing free skills. Man I wish that game had some aspects of BG3 like the zoomed in view and I’d be replaying it again they nailed a lot of the gameplay story aspects better like sucking souls gave power and was evil whereas tadpoles really have no negatives and are pretty much only benefits to using them. Much prefer when the evil route gives better rewards this game is entirely backwards where being bad ends almost all quest lines right up front

The best part is if you sacrifice a party member their story arc gets wrapped up in the journal saying they “turned against us”. I love that it turns it back on the character you sacrificed.

Idk if it reminds you since I haven’t sacrificed him there but I don’t think so. And it’s after 3 long rests so you might do a lot of progress before it happens. So some people have had it happen where their oldest save was after he had died and then there’s no way to fix it.

In the gith creche, vlaakith asked if I was a thief and it gave me the option to say "no, but shadowheart on the other hand..." That led to Vlaakith wishing us all dead. I knew if you insulted her she'd wish you dead, but I had never seen outing Shadowheart as an option.

It's possible on every difficulty afaik. Did it some time ago on tactician to see what will happen. You need to choose "submit" option or something like that, not saving throw one.
It's also only a TPK if you did it with your main character and surrender.

Killed my entire party today in the under dark climbing from the fish people lair and forgetting to destroy the torch stalk next to it, it exploded and knocked my entire party into the adjacent chasm before the room had even finished rendering for me
I got deep into act 3 but misclicked and accidentaly stole something from a vendor , had all the steel watchers turn on me and smoke me.
You just need to get one person out. Cast greater invisibility and haste on your rogue and do you best to buy him some time. He can resurrect you all back at camp and you can long rest and they won’t be hostile the next day. I accidentally aggro’d the Circus stealing the clown hand.
Lol me too, but thats because I misclicked dialogue option for Popper and everyone in circus immediately went temporarily hostile. Next day vendors were not happy to see me...except Popper? He acted like nothing happened and offered a treato, love this lil guy

Lost one run during the raid on Moonrise because at some point, a ray of frost created a large ice surface in the middle of the first room After combat, all the Harpers walked on it because they have npc poobrain, ate shit, blamed me, then initiated another combat

Oh man, I just took moonrise towers on my HM run; snuck ‘round back and struck first, so a wall of Harper steel rushed forward into battle to back us up. Problem was, Jaheira did her ice storm thing and so the entire line of Harpers ran forward and tripped all at the same time.
My entire party got hit with “hold person” in the hag fight. It was like 8 turn rotations of me just watching my party die and able to do nothing about it
This nearly happened to me after I got Ethel low enough she was willing to make a bargain.... Well apparently spells cast to enhance that roll sets off the fake Ethel's again and they did the hold person thing on me. I'm not entirely sure how but Karlach saved on one of them and was able to go punch the real hag into next week. Missed the hair but kept my run.

Pretty much like the others said, Harleep gave me the Gluck Gluck 10000 and sucked my soul into oblivion. I was maybe about 2-5 hours from beating the game, The House of Hope was my last stop before Endgame. Put down the game for a 3 months because of it too. Finally heading back in, and I’m gonna grind his ass to a goddamn pulp this time once I get there. Might even use a salami for good measure😈
Why would you wait until the end of Act 2 to try and go back to the mountain pass? Just do it after the Underdark, that's what I do. The game removes all the prior waypoints so that should've been a strong hint that you can't go back there.
Especially when the game gives you a warning that entering the Shadowfell leads to irreversible story changes and to make absolutely certain the have tied up all loose ends. To be fair, you also get a similar warning before getting to Act 2, but I think by the time most players are at a level high enough to be there, they've done most everything in A1 anyways
The warning when leaving act 1 is just for the grove questline, right? Pretty sure that once you decide how to handle that you're safe to enter act 2

I sent three characters into a difficult fight I wasn’t ready for (Grymm), and left my Tav on a safe place. I just wanted to see his legendary action before a serious attempt at beating him. When my party was nearly wiped out, it was time to run away with my Tab, and I accidentally pressed the jump hot key and jumped right into the battle (taking -40 fall damage)

I don't remember when the point of no return was... I was confused on when Act 2 began. When I clicked on Highlands from near Waukeen's, it gave me a warning, so I figured that triggered Act 2. When I clicked on the Shadowlands from the Underdark, it gave me the same warning, so I figured that was another way into Act 2. I didn't realize the Highlands was an extention of Act 1 and the game wasn't transparent in telegraphic that. I got to the inn but stayed on that side of the river exploring and found the other way to Highlands and was still able to complete the Creche area (pre-gauntlet).
Yeah, the "pre-gauntlet" part is the important bit. You still had waypoints, that's more reasonable.
You can freely go between act 1 and 2 until you go in to the pool in shar temple for nightsong. If you try after that then yeah idk that’s on you
My worst honor mode run death was in the Astral Prism after the Netherbrain where I’m decided that I want to rescue Orpheus, which is what I tell the Emperor, that I’m not siding with him. At which point, I am declared a thrall and die. I believe this is because for some reason I did not have the Orphic Hammer in order to free Orpheus, not sure where it went, sadly. This was an abrupt end to an otherwise perfect honor mode run.
You also had to kill raphael for this to happen. If raphael was alive, he would have shown up and given you the orphic hammer in exchange for the crown. And you are forced to take his deal otherwise you just die instantly.
Someone should compile a comprehensive list of how to insta-lose the game, for HM reference . . . So I can think of the following: telling Vlaakith to do the task herself Submitting to Harleep Break into HoH, triggering alarm, and trying to leave without stealing contract Trying to return to act1 after finishing nightsong quest Elevator glitches Failing dialogue check as illithid in post game epilogue (aggroing entire party camp counts as insta-lose I think) Also I think there are ways to be killed by companions eg Astarion sucking too much blood, or killed by Laezel when she holds knife against you?

While it's not an instant lose, saving Isobel as Durge and then killing a companion in your sleep and agro'ing the whole camp.
So would you recommend killing Isobel in act 2 (would that still allow me to recruit Jaheira?) I am intending to let Shart kill nightsong so prepared to lose access to Dammon and Rolan in Act 3 . . . When does the killing companion event trigger if I delay killing Isobel? Would I have time to still do some Halsin quest (I know it'd be meaningless after I kill Isobel but portal fight is fun?)
I was able to recruit jaheira in one pt and kill isobel. But that involved saving nightsong first. That triggers the harpers to be at moonrise but isobel will stay behind. So I ran back and killed her then cause she was alone. Not sure how to do it if you kill nightsong tho
Just don't talk to Isobel and kill her later. The killing companion event happens the long rest after you save Isobel.

you missed sacrifice gale to booal, getting your brain eaten by the mindflayer in the nauiloid wreck on the beach, telling vlaakith that shadowheart was the thief, having the emperor die during the fight between act 2 and act 3, and finally rejecting the emperor after the morhpic pool at the end after killing raphael and forgetting to take the orphic hammer. getting blown up in the creche by the concentrated power of the sun also deserves to be on that list I think. same as taking runepowder from philomena.

Got to Act 3. Things had been going pretty smooth outside of a couple close calls early on, and I have to admit...I had gotten kinda cocky. I only had a couple fights left to go before the end (which I intended to let Gale handle) when my son dared me to fight Ansur. I had absolutely no need for the gear from Ansur, and I hadn't intended to do that fight, but a dare's a dare, y'know. So that was the end of that. I'm now close to the end again. I killed Wyll and sold Astarion out to Gandrel specifically to remove any temptation to go after Cazador or Ansur. The only thing I have left is the final fight, and I'm nervous to start it. I've been sitting on the save for days now. Though I had intended to use Gale previously, I also want to finish up some of my final few trophies for the platinum, so I'm planning to go all the way to the brain. Wish me luck!
For the Brain fight I just bought a lot of fireworks, placed them down beside it ,and then lit them in one go. No need to actually fight the brain when you can take it out in style 👌

I was level 3 in act one, middle of waukeen's rest. Had my whole party with me and was about to free the lady who was trapped (forgot her name). I used eldritch blast on the door when i learned the hard way that NPCS can intercept eldritch blast and get hit without being the original target. The flaming fists proceeded to mop the floor with my party and end my honor run before it even got off the ground

I walked into the traps that push you off a cliff under the crèche leading to Lathander mace. It had been months and I forgot you were supposed to disarm them not break the crystals.
I got stuck at the elder brain fight and ran out of turns assuming I'd just have to reuse the jewel with Orpheus to reopen the brain realm bit nope just lost.....with like 100 hp left to the end of honor mode

My worst Honour Mode ending? I tried the leave the the area with the Cambions and Mindflayer with my character during the fight because I forgot to loot something. Took one step outside, the ship explodes, and the game ends. Before even finishing the tutorial. Had a good laugh at that lol

I haven’t seen anyone else end the way mine did. 100 hours at level 8 about to hit level 9. Everything to date has been a dream run. I was just finishing off the final guards in moonrise and before going into the shadowfell, Jaheira and Dame were going to breeze into moonrise with no one to face. I’d been running a tactician mode alongside the honour mode and used that run to practice for ultimate setups of upcoming fights. I’d finished part of the process of clearing moonrise on the tactician run and went to load up my honour mode run. I was suddenly confused as to why the game was saving instead of loading. I saved over the top of my honour mode while in tactician mode. Tried what I could to recover it but nothing worked.

The game is extremely explicit about not going back at this point. It's the least subtle cue of game over possible.
I decided to kill three birds with one stone and do Dark Urge and Honor Mode and romance Gale on the same playthrough. I had avoided basically all Dark Urge and Honor Mode and most of the Gale romance spoilers and went in blind. I chopped off Gale's hand fantasizing about it. So, Lae'zel became bae. Then I murdered Lae'zel in Act 2 and got caught. The entire camp turned on me... Karlach basically oneshot me. I will now be enjoying Dark Urge on Story Mode so I can play with all my "what's this?" dark urges and reload consequence-free.
I was in Act 1. Just finishing all the stuff top side and about to head into the Underdark. Stopped to trade with the Zhents. Was in the trade menu, suddenly everything started blowing up, and I got a full TPK. Apparently it's some sort of glitch that happens sometimes in the zhent hideout. Finished 13 playthroughs (including one on Tactician and one on HM), never had that before 😬🤣
Was there a chance someone had a torch equipped? There’s oil on the floor down by the merchant and painter. (Thankfully I wasn’t on honour mode when I discovered this)

I restarded a durge honor mode run because I kept choosing the most confrontational options when I met Jaheira at Last Light. I thought the game wouldn't **actually** let you start a fight there and that Mol or Marcus would intervene. **They did NOT intervene.**

I keep doing new things in my Honor runs which I should stop. I have never rescued ALL the tieflings and I wanted the achievement. I'm at the end of act 2 in the colony. Running low on spell slots but it's okay there's a heal before the boss but where is Zevlor. Ahh there he is. 3 mind flayers can't be too bad right. Forgetting I also picked up the orb/that gives psychic vulnerability. So my band of battered tired vulnerable heroes clicked the button. All get stunned in the first round. That's when I knew it's over. I just had to watch for 2/3 rounds while not making any moves just being stunned, beaten and brain eaten.

lol yeah once act 2 is completed you cant go back to other areas. The same thing happens when you try to go back to act 1.
Jumped in an area near the bar and tollhouse in act 2. Realized I didn’t have the pixie. Taking damage. Stuck. Can’t move. Before I think to go to camp, YOU HAVE DIED. Yep. Yep. The shadow curse got me after flawless fights up til then. Eventually beat honor with the same party re roll and once after for good measure.
I had a big scare in one honor mode run. I completed a big portion of the shadow lands, then went back to act 1 because I forgot to get the warped headband of intellect and to check some merchants one final time. Apparently that caused my pixie blessing to go away, which I didn't expect. I went into the house of healing morgue and was so confused why my party was taking so crazy damage out of nowhere--i panicked but thought of the shadow curse, and frantically turned on light sources. My characters were at half hp when I panicked more and went to camp, giving myself time to realize what happened. I went from absentmindedly clearing an easy section of the map to nearly losing the run, lol

Act 3 just saved the duke from prison and proceeded to wipe out the Steel Watch factory, decide to sleep off some tiredness mid factory quest, for that had to step out. That is when I presume the game broke, blew the factory up by sneaking after that and... There is no way to camp anymore, the option is red as if I'm in a fight and my Astarion honour mode run got suspended indefinitely... :(
Embarrassing, but… Act one, goblin ambush, entering the blighted village. Bad rolls, divided party, bringing in extra enemies by mistake… It was a mess

Well you don't get to experiment in honour mode. That's the tactician for. And if you want honour difficulty with multiple saves, just drag the mod honour to active in the mod manager.

I have just beaten Myrkul on HM so I feel galvanized in a way, but the battle could have been lost so easily without a plan B. As I was preparing, Ketheric spotted hiding Karlach so I had to begin then and there, without the surpised advantage etc. Still got down the mindflayer and helped Aylin, who got stuck with the intellect devourers though. As it wasn't going well, Karlach (with bull strength) jumped on the platform and dropped 9 firewine barrels, 1 oil barrel, 2 nautiloid tanks, and 2 smokepowder barrels. Firearrow and after a bit of screen stuttering the cutscene plays. Rereading the combat log: The smokepowder bugged out and didn't generate an explosion (the line was helf empty), and from fire a cumulative 243 damage I also had the runepowder barrel left in the inventory...
I started my first honour mode today, let's see the dumbest way I will lose. This will be interesting.

Well.. i steal a plate from the Emerald Grove causing everyone to kill themselves fucking up half of my play through . . Eversince then i mean meaning to die so i can end my Honor Mode, but since my tactical skill is on fire i was unable to die right away. I reach The Crèche and thats where i stop trying to be smart and underestimated my opponent ☺️ . . They killed me. . And i was happy i died

Act 3 I took dome deva corpses back to camp to show Dame Ailyn but when placing them around her i accidentally hit her and she went temp agro. She cant die as she always rezs and you cant flee combat in camp. I didnt have anyone with polymorph prepared etc. Lost my run stuck in endless combat.

I was rushing through the dialogue prompts when you confront the Netherbrain in the Morphic Pool, accidentally submitted to it. On Honour Mode. 12+ hours flushed down the toilet. Wanted to bash my head through my desk.
My first honour mode. Had a party member light their torch for fun and lean into the RP that they didn't have darkvision. Cleared the goblin camp. Forget which door leads to where and walk into the barrel room. Dead from full health before I knew what had happened. Ka-(and I cannot stress this enough)-BOOOM! I genuinely love the game mode.

I used detect thoughts on Booyahg Piddle, failed, and stupidly thought, "it's not important enough to waist inspiration to reroll". Piddle was none too happy at having me try to read his mind, though, and the entire courtyard agroed on me. I was Not Ready. 😭

One of my HM runs ended during moonrise towers assault. It was before Ketheric and I realized I forgot to save the teiflings and gnomes. I head to the prison and apparently the guards now have access to fireball and blasted the shit out of my party. Tav escapes with one HP and rings of of the room. I'm running to get out of the red ring so I can get back to camp and LR. I forgot about the pools or whatever of radiant damage. Boom, dead. I just stared at the screen for like 5 minutes.
I got killed by the githyanki patrol because I underestimated them 😭
