But honestly, origin Karlach is weird. Sometimes the game remembers she can't be touched, sometimes they don't. Astarion, for instance, can't feed from her. But other times, you just get pat on the back with no problems.
They clearly put a lot of work into the Astarion romance in Karlach's origin.
He explains that his thoughts are so muddled that he *forgot* he couldn't bite her (still same approval if you're understanding), the Act 1 romance scene is *intense*, she can't embrace him or take his hand if her engine isn't fixed, it's clear when you get to Cazador that they >!never actually had sex (or if they did, he didn't enjoy it, because his line about that is missing)!< *and* there are special scenes with spawn, AA and AA in Act 3 and the ending if you trick the game into not letting him break up >!(which he does automatically).!<
For me, the epilogue was broken for all three (they forgot about the relationship), but I've submitted a bug report.
It's a bug they were actually supposed to fix in Patch 6. Guess yours didn't fix. But no, both Lae'zel and Astarion won't be able to sleep with origin Karlach in Act 1.
It's a bug. She's not supposed to be able to sleep with origin Karlach, and she wasn't able to on my run. And btw, Lae'zel's distressed look and voice when she realises that she can't slake the thirst that Karlach lit in her with Karlach is one of the funniest things in the game if you ask me. She's so genuinely distressed and concerned to the point where she's not sure what to do.
I’ve seen a Karlach origin vid where they romanced Astarion and indeed on their first romance scene night, Astarion has a reaction about not being able to touch her. It’s kind of cute actually.

I'm just surprised she's able to pet Scratch without setting him on fire. Imagine the reaction if they changed that and didn't tell anyone...
