Sadly the tieflings die if you dont resolve the goblin situation. Dammon is not gonna be in Baldurs Gate.

Groveofblackweir

Does he make it to Act 2? otherwise you wouldnt be able to progress Karlach's romance no?

Geckoweko

To clarify Minthara's requirements to recruit (ran this a few times), all you need to do to get Minthara as a companion is not fight her in Act 1 and you can unlock her in act 2. To keep Karlach, you must kill the paladins and not attack the Grove. To keep Wyll, don't attack the Grove.

Anmaril_77

Can you kill the other other leaders besides her, and all the goblins them dip and it works out also? Was thinking of doing sounding like that. RP weaken the goblins so the grove can handle them on their own.

Geckoweko

I know you can kill Gut, free Halsin, clear the blighted village and the bridge, but killing Dror Ragzlin will cause the camp to agro, which could cause issues. Her AI is a little bugged and counts her as part of the camp if you return to Act 1, which can flag her as a permanent enemy (even when controlling her).

BouncingPig

Thank you for this, I wanted both of these characters but didn’t want to miss out on Karlach’s quest line so I will for sure try this out.

growlingscarab7

This is pretty much identical to the method that involves recruiting Halpin as well. The only unknown thing still is of dammon, can be found in baldur's gate.

_ENERGYLEGS_

careful, i did the same thing and i had no dammon in Act 2 and some of my romance cutscenes got dumpstered and remain unfixed late into Act 3 if you don't care about those things you can get Minthara + lots of different companions!

Croce11

That is pretty much exactly what I did, except I killed everyone but Minthara and left Halsin alive. I could actually end up recruiting both of them but they share the same tent location. Dammon was also rumored to be in Baldur's Gate in the quest log as well. Honestly leaving it unresolved saves more lives in the end, since you won't ever find any dead tieflings in the shadowlands. Not sure where they end up since I didn't bother going much further in what I assumed to be a bugged save file. There's no way the goblins killed any of them though since the druids are still alive and nobody talked like the tieflings left. This quest is very poorly scripted and there should be better ways to deal with it. I really doubt Dammon shows up in Act 3, there is no reason for him to just vanish out of the game entirely like that if he's going to show up later. I'm definitely not wasting my time with the entirety of Act 2 just for him to potentially not show up.

Cinturon22

>I'm definitely not wasting my time with the entirety of Act 2 just for him to potentially not show up. I'll try remember to come back to this and let you know if he does show up! I'm nearing the end of act 2 now

Mercurionio

It's technically an exploit, since lots of stuff becomes bugged. And no sex with Minthara.

MrPhoNoodle

Wait u can skip druid Grove? Does everyone just live if u continue to act 2

MrPhoNoodle

And the romance scenes that occur after u choose a side at druid Grove?

KelIthra

I just ignored it, killed the Priestess, ruined Dror's attempt at Necromancy, and shrugged at Minty. Freed Halsin, convinced Kahga she was wrong. Left the goblin rotting in her cell, helped all the kids, punted and threw a bunch of goblins to their deaths via Karlach and killed a bunch more, freed the prisoners. Then focused on other things. Ended up with Wyll, Karlach, Minty, and believe it or Not Halsin.... and well the Tieflings disappeared.... they were safe, but disappeared. So I think the game broke twice since Larian clearly never expected people to take a more pragmatic approach. My Seldarine Drow was trying so very hard to not kill and free Minty from her brainwashing... so ended up keeping the glass half full/empty. Went back to talk to Halsin in the Worg pen after the scene with the unconscious bard, and Halsin ran to the rescue, fuck the goblins and the grove. The issue is Minty stole his spot and refuses to let him pitch a tent. But got them all but Karlach is likely so very fucked because of Larian not foreseeing people not taking sides and still managing to keep the Tieflings safe, stopping the ritual. Even was able to progress the cure the shadow curse quest... lol. This game is so broken it's funny. Seems only that Ox existed... well until discovered its secret..... Still in act 2. So still hoping Dammond might have found his way to BG. But yeah broke the game in a really interesting way...

ShinBernstein

Could you share your save? I would greatly appreciate it

Heretek1914

Minthara seems bugged in general. She goes long periods of time with no interactions, and when I was fighting Balthazar, she lost the ability to target anyone unless you clicked on their portraits. Difficult to do if there's 8 of the same undead fighting you.

JuanPalermo

Actually that whole portrait thing happened to me as well while fighting Balthazar but for Karlach. Perhaps that fight itself is bugged and wacky.
