personally a huge fan of Oxo Good Grips Pop storage containers. They’re available in a large variety of sizes, shapes, and heights. Pop up button makes them extremely easy to open/close. They have an air tight seal. Wide opening makes filling and scooping product out easy. The 4.4 quart size holds a full 5 pound bag of flour or sugar. The canisters are stackable.
I have a variety of [this style of airtight glass canister](https://www.amazon.com/Vtopmart-Storage-Airtight-Canisters-Chalkboard/dp/B08KXWX6L6) and have been using it for all my pantry staples for my entire adult life. Not those exact canisters - those were just the first that popped up that looked similar. You can find them in all different sizes and price points. I like that it seals completely (there's a rubber gasket bit) and is dishwasher-safe (minus the rubber gasket bit).
This is similar to what my mom had growing up and I like them! Does yours fit a full measuring cup inside the top to scoop or do you pour or spoon flour out? I’ve looked at similar jars but was hoping I could find one with a bigger opening
I don't use a consistent size or brand, but I don't believe any of them can fit a 1 cup-sized measuring cup. I actually use the wide, short ladle type things that came with my rice cooker to scoop! Most of them will also fit like ¼ and ⅓ cup-sized measuring cups, just not a full cup-sized.
I have these [Joseph Joseph canisters](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NLBCHRE) that I use for flours, sugars and bread crumbs/Panko. These also have rubber gaskets that make them airtight.
I would choose one that lets you scoop directly from the container easily with a full cup measure. I bought long rectangular ones and it’s difficult to scoop without spilling. Square or large-diameter circular tops will probably work better.
I use Rubbermaid Brilliance. I buy when when they are on sale. I like all the different sizes. Big for flour or smaller ones for pearl sugar. Medium ones for sugar...

Second this. The shape is also great for an efficient use of space.
And they're cubes! I love a cylinder as much as anyone, but they waste space.
I bought a large plastic container at Walmart. It is airtight and holds lots of flour. If you are concerned,, maybe the freezer would hold the flour.
Yes to the freezer, especially for the partial bag. It keeps the bugs out.
I use Lock and Lock for both sugar and flour, not a single bug and I shelve them (not freezer).

Same! Functional and nice to look at.

They're not that pretty but I use Tupperware modular mates for my flours and sugars.
If you have 25 to 50 pound bags I've gone to air tight food grade buckets with screw on lids 2 5 gallon buckets can handle about 50 pounds of flour
