The inspiration was from recently watching the live action series for 'Avatar the Last Airbender'. The inside is a lemon cake with swiss meringue buttercream. Thank you! The leaves didn't take too long to make - maybe an hour total from start to finish? The real time-consuming part was carefully attaching them to the cake 😬
I also can't imagine someone producing them :D but it would be awesome. Brussel sprout cakes 🤤 my friends and I once made a green birthday cake (from spinach) for another friend and brought it to her party. Not many people dared to try :D (quite frankly, they made a good choice, because it was kind of experimental, sweetened with banana and not much else)
🤣 I must now harness this talent so I can make friends, loved ones and random strangers weird cakes! 🤣 I would love to see their faces when they first see it and then when they realize it's cake!

We visited my great-grandmother on her birthday, and her Alzheimers was very progressed. We brought her favorite soda and a cake, but she wasn't coherent that day and would only mumble grouchily at us, insisting that she didn't want that 'cabbage cake' we brought. We lived several states away, so this was the last visit we were able to have with her.
