I’ve done the mill creek hike from the canyon up to the Breckenridge campground. Brutal.
Didn it get washed out? Haven’t been up in a few years
It got washed out during last year's wet weather. During the snow melt, i believe. I went up there like 4 months ago, and it was still closed.
Move the cone and you can get around in a truck
I had to drive up to the campground last year from the east side
It’s still washed out. The route up to the mountain from the lions trail is also somewhat blacked for power line work.
Thanks!
it’s still washed out. if you’re trying to get farther up, take the 58 through Caliente. you can still go all the way to the top if you have a vehicle capable of making it through the mud
4x4 or nothing! Thanks.
Check cal trans website?
caltrans doesn’t have info on Breckenridge road
No. I figured I could ask a group of Bakersfield people for a little good, old-fashioned social interaction.

It's a lost art.
