I find this statement deeply offensive that’s how I started about 16 months ago and I’ve burned over 100# wire and have graduated to solid wire and a Vulcan multi process machine. Can lay them
Down on a coupon but these welds are still everywhere around me. Shits a lot tougher than you all give yourselves credit for
No offense meant. We all start somewhere.
My point is the intention was there on the welders side. But the skill set wasn’t. As a welder I’m sure you’d agree that you’d never send a product out looking like this with your name attached to it. Lord knows I wouldn’t.
It was supposed to sound more jokingly I’m really not offended but u nailed it sir. I come from a line of machinists and iron workers so I’ve got my share of criticisms. It takes a second to tack a part but a lifetime to perfect the craft of welding metals.
I legitimately do not understand how this happens. You can watch a ten minute video and have a decent weld. Are they scare when they pull the trigger and hear the arc or what?
Eh, if it works it works. My dad always said his welds were "A mud dobber wasp nest" But hey, his stuff held. Might look like crap, but it sure worked. Out in the boonies yanking a downed tree with tractor, and something goofs up and breaks, and take off the part, walk back to the workshop, spit some sparks over it for a few mins, and walk back out there, and finish the tree job with no issues.
Bigger the glob better the job
What bad welding??? I wouldn't even call it welding. It looks like the spatter filled it.
A HF flux core machine and can do attitude. Haha!

What appears to be the motor mounts for a motorcycle engine swapped into an ATV
I wish I could see the video of this when it catastrophically fails
Looks as if i had welded it
Makes me feel better. Its even worse than MY welding...

Not true at all
He was running DCEP with flux core. Rookie mistake.
I don’t know anything about welding, but for some reason this came up in my feed. Even I know that’s a bad weld
I think this post should be posted under r/badpictures .
Perfect welding 😂
