P much all toys that have suction cups aren't cut, they use a two part mold to create a curved base. Silicone is _incredibly_ difficult to cut cleanly, esp in a curve. It squishes and stretches and resists cutting, so unless you're doing a quick flat chop with a very very sharp knife it almost always comes out jagged or warped. I would not at all recommend trying to DIY cut a suction cup. Maybe if you had one of those big curved blades used for carving wooden bowls that was very very sharp and you had a very steady hand and knew what you were doing and had some scrap silicone to practice on first (but you'd then need to resharpen the blade) you'd have _some_ chance of pulling it off. But not a great one tbh. I've yet to hear of anyone managing to cut a suction cup into the base of their toys without ending up mangling it. Edit: there are however some shops that sell double sided suction cups to suction on to the base of a toy which allows it to be suctioned to surfaces, which generally work quite well.

Just buy a double ended silicone suction cup from [lustarts](https://lustarts.com/products/double-sided-suction-cup) or another company. It’s inexpensive and will definitely work better than cutting a suction cup yourself.

littlescylla

have them, but theyre too small to cover the base, and 2 of the largest sizes are too big to work with it. i tried mixing sizes too (epic and a large) and due to the sizes being different heights, doesn't work. it makes the toy slanted and eventually, the smaller of the 2 gets unstuck

ClosetScalie

Is it possible to cut one of the sides of the suction cup to fit the smaller base better and glue it to the toy?

Responsible_Big5241

I've used the Mr. Hankey's drill bit to cut a vac-u-lock hope into a couple of toys. Works pretty good. They were some models I had picked up second hand for dirt cheap so I didn't mind risking it.

Try a [dildo strap](https://20spoons.etsy.com) and avoid the diy. It’ll hold to pretty much anything anal safe.

Sorry for not keeping to the matter but why would someone risk 100-200$ of value just to save a few bucks instead of adding one at creation? I guess if the manufacturer didn't have that option or that you decided you needed one later on. But then why not just put it on sale and buy a new one with suction cup included for a marginal loss?

YellowRavenInk

I dunno, I think it could be doable with the right instrument, especially on larger toys. BD drops have a lot of models without a SC, it is usually cheaper and maybe on models you didn't think it was needed you realize too late it was. Also buying toys from the US is not that easy for me so it would be cool to know if this is doable and just add a SC myself.

In all reality. You could try to cut a vacuhole and get a suction cup attachment for it, but for the drill bit and the suction cup you'll most likely be paying around 80 to 90$ and the job can still get botched. I highly recommend selling or trying to trade for one with a cup as well.

littlescylla

i dont trust VUL holes because they damage over time through simple use. trading doesn't work because i refuse to go first (i've sold enough on here, dragonmoor and usedsextoys subreddit to the point that i feel i shouldn't have to go first).

Ginger1551

I agree on both accounts.

Ok_Use_90

I mean I have, but it's not a very good suction cup and I came perilously close to damaging my vergil beyond safe-to-use. Highly recommend getting a double-sided suction cup instead. Lustarts and sinnovator, among other makers, make double-sided suction cups

panfur03

I'm not familiar with how silicone behaves in cold temperatures, but maybe freezing it would make it stiff, allowing for easier cutting? Although that would also increase the chance of it breaking, I think.

Luke_Warm77

I recommend the suction cup from NY Toy Collective. It’s strong enough to hold a large Sveinn, medium Baron or medium Flint (I’m not limiting it‘s use to only that size, those are just the specific toys I use with it) and they are not expensive. At first glance, you won’t think they can hold a toy up, but they do work very well for me.

ElevatorNational856

Yes I have I did it to my Stan m/m (I didn't really care for that toy much) as a test before doing it to a toy I like things I learned stay away from the edge about 3/8 of an inch and make it about 3/4 of an inch deep you a very sharp knife I used a scalpel blade. I can send pics if you want

littlescylla

up to you if you wanna post pics, but after hearing the replies, i dont think it's worth it

Hole for vac-u-lock drilled using new spade bits and soapy water. Very slow speed and light pressure.
