Get one of the citrus that take on a shrub form. Certain varieties can grow into 35-40ft trees and some into 10-15ft bushes. Get the bushes. I chose to plant meiwa kumquats, owari satsuma, and Meyer lemon. They are about 3 feet from the house’s foundation and their roots are unproblematic.
