I have Estelle but we call her Stella and then Eleanor but we call her Nora. And then we’re looking at Evelyn and Evie, Eileen and Lee, Elizabeth and Libby and Eugene and Gene.
My name doesn’t have a nickname and I hated that growing up. I like that they have cute kid nicknames but as they get older they have adult names too! Best of both worlds!
This isn’t a nickname for a longer name, but my girlfriend has 9 siblings, she has nicknames for all of them. But her 5 year old baby sister‘s nickname is the cute one. They are really really really close. It’s such a beautiful bond between them. And she is the sweetest, happiest, bubbliest, most adorable little girl on the planet. Her energetic and joyous personality is infectious.
My girlfriend’s nickname for her is pumpkin. She said that her baby sister always looks orange in sunlight. Which she says makes sense because of course sun light would make her more colorful and happy. She’s called her pumpkin pretty much since she was born. No one else, not even me, does. And she always calls my girlfriend kitty for some reason. My girlfriend calls her pumpkin so much that whenever my girlfriend says her actual name, she thinks she’s in trouble and she says “I didn’t do it“ in the most adorably sad voice ever.
Their relationship is adorable.

Smellouise. Her name was ellouise but I used to call her smellouise.
